Eric never pays attention to the gossip, so he did not know about the speculation online about his relationship with Lily. That Monday, when he got to work, he heard a few whispers about him dating his assistant.
"So the new assistant is from the Hunt family," one person whispered to the other. Eric had just stepped in, and because the two were engrossed in their gossip, they did not notice his presence.
Eric did not care so much about the statement. He knew that office gossip could never be stopped.
"Yes, and I guess it's only a matter of time before she becomes the CEO 's wife," the second person said with a smile. This person loved to gossip about what was happening around the office. In her heart, this was not gossiping but keeping up with the trends to avoid missing something vital.
