I hate my life
They left the event and got into the car when Andrew yelled at her which caused her to flinch back.
"What the fuck did you just do!!?"
Alex looked at him surprised.
Alex was slightly shaking because the rate at which Andrew unexpectedly raised his voice made her nervous.
"I'm talking to you,are you that clumsy?To allow a waiter to pour a drink on your dress and make me leave an event that way? When I'm not even done with my colleagues?!" Andrew yelled.
Alex didn't respond and just stared at him with eyes filled with tears.
He kept quiet when he saw her tearing up.
Alex used the back of her hand to clean the drops of water on her cheeks and looked out the window.
She was quiet and didn't know how to feel. 'Why is he being mean?', "That wasn't even my fault', "Why was he cool and nice in front of his colleagues and like this towards me?' 'What have I done?' Alex questioned herself.
Andrew stared at her with the corner of his eyes and was curious to why an adult will start crying just because she was yelled at. He finds it hypocritical but he kept quiet and let her be.
The rest of the ride was silent and they finally got home.
Alex immediately went upstairs to the room , shutting the door behind her and ignoring Angel who greeted her.
Angel squinted her eyes wondering what happened.
"I hate my life!"Alex muttered to herself and helped herself undress.
She rushed to the bathroom and soaked herself in the warmth of the bathtub water.
She relaxed her muscles and enjoyed the feeling of having a bath after a long day.
"Oh yes, I miss this feeling " she said to herself.
The scented candle reached her nose and she inhaled the sweet scent deeply enjoying the peace and comfort the warm bath and the scented candle gave her.
Alex was relaxed in the bathtub enjoying the comfort she missed when a knock on her door distracted her and disturbed her peace.
She groaned out in frustration.
"Alex!" Dan called her name while knocking repeatedly on the door.
She sighed.
Alex opened the door and Dan welcomed himself in the room with a smile but stopped midway when he noticed his sister's red eyes and puffy face.
"Hey what happened?" He asked, concerned.
He wanted to touch her face but she moved back and waved his hand away.
"Nothing, I've been in the shower for a long time now,my eyes are probably red because of the water"
"Okay….." Dan replied unsatisfied.
"So tell me about your date?" He asked excitedly.
"It's not a date," Alex replied blankly.
Dan noticed the change in her tone and how irritated she looked saying those words.
"Okay but did anything happen?" He asked again.
"Nothing happened little one" she replied to him with a smile running her fingers through his soft hair.
Dan smiled sweetly.
"Now can you leave my room because I'm obviously tired and sleepy,please?" She asked him gently with a smile.
Dan nodded. "Okay night," he said.
Alex nodded. "Goodnight" and she locked her door.
As soon as Dan left Alex's room,she jumped on the bed with a sigh of relief.
'God! I almost cried and narrated everything to him,' she said to herself, covering her face with a pillow.
Her phone rang at that moment and she stood up to know who was contacting her.
It was Abigail.
"Hey wassup" Alex greeted Abigail.
"Hey wtf is wrong with your eyes?!!it's so red" Abigail asked.
"Its nothing, just got out of shower few minutes ago"
Abigail looked at her suspiciously.
"Okay you're lying,something definitely happened,talk to me" Abigail said to her.
"Fine!!!,yes something happened, happy now?" She replied, almost tearing up again.
Alex narrated the whole story to Abigail.
"Omfg!What's wrong with him!!!?" Abigail yelled.
"Shhhh…..don't shout" Alex warned.
"I don't understand him at all but I guess Dan is right. The rich are always like this, always cruel. I just don't want to get in his trouble, I've been avoiding that but ... .I don't even know, " Alex said frustrated.
"Right,but don't keep all the hurt to yourself. Inform me if anything else happens or if he tries to raise his hands on you,okayy???" Abigail said with a concerned face.
Alex bursted into laughter.
"What's funny?" Abigail asked.
"Your face is funny,the seriousness on your face and tone is funny but thank you for worrying about me" Alex said.
"Stupid hoe," Abigail replied, laughing.
Alex smiled.
"Gotta go now,take care and contact me if anything happens, okay?" Abigail said.
"Bet,bye" Alex replied.
Alex dropped her phone and covered herself up in a big fluffy blanket.
She thought about her best friend, she missed her so much.
She didn't think for too long as she shut her eyes closed,darkness enveloped her. She allowed her body to relax and give in,she couldn't fight it. She was too tired.
