I Love It When You Call Me Señorita

Her blue eyes needled his black one as she said "Release it." But he didn't, he didn't let go of her hand. Adding fuel to her anger which she was hiding behind her calm demeanour.

"Let's talk, please," he said to Lucy

Lucy took a deep breath and said "Apart from our past, there is nothing common between us to talk about." Then she added, "And I remember telling you not to bring the past."

"How can you expect me to not bring up the past when you yourself have jewelled it in your finger," He remarked as he thoughtfully glanced at the ring she was wearing.

She too, glanced at her ring. A hint of sadness limped in her blue eyes as she said "I wear this because it helps me with the reality check."

"Senorita..." He played one word, the same way he used to call her back then.

This reminded her of the day when he gave her this nickname. And it also reminded her of the day when everything ended. In the span of a moment, she lost her rationality as rage danced in her eyes.

"You should not have." She remarked in an icy cold voice then she twisted his hand which was holding on to hers and pushed him away from herself. He collided into a nearby wall, the collision was so strong that Lucy concluded it must have hurt him badly. Lucy, without checking on his possible injuries, turned on her heels and walked away.

And Li Xuan was right when he thought she ran away because she needed to hide her emotions. She needed to hide that she was hurt because she hurt him.

How ironic it was, he wanted her to vent out her anger so that she could finally feel good but turned out even pouring her anger was suffering for her. Because she hated him just as much as she loved him. But he promised himself, he will definitely heal those scars he has given her.

Lucy bid her goodbye to father Li, picked up Omisha and they were off.

Senorita... It was still ringing in her ears, forcing her to drown in the memories.

...Six years ago.....

"Lucy, your phone has been ringing for quite some time." One of her colleagues informed her as she was coming out of her supervisor's office after submitting the reports.

"Oh, thank you for informing," Lucy expressed her gratitude to her colleague as she picked up her phone to check who was the one calling her. It wasn't a number saved in her contact list.

Just when Lucy was thinking whether to call back or just ignore, the same unknown caller called her once again,

"Hello?" She said as she received the call.

"Hi junior, remember me?" came the familiar voice from the other end of the phone. She recognised him as Li Xuan.

"Senior? how did you get my number?" Lucy asked the dumbest but valid question as per her situation.

"Really junior? that's what you ask?" Lucy heard him saying "Getting a cell number for the CEO of Origin Incorporation won't be a big deal, yeah?"

"That's an abuse of power," Lucy remarked and he chuckled in response

"I agree on that one." Li Xuan said, "But what can I do? I needed your number!" Then he added, "Nevertheless, I'm at fault so... forgive me."

A small smile tugged on her lips as she said, "Apology accepted. Now state the matter, Senior."

"Are you free right now?" Li Xuan asked

Lucy glanced at her wristwatch then responded, "I will be free after... fifteen minutes."

"Cool, would you be so kind and accompany me somewhere?" He asked her

"Hmm...that depends on where you want me to accompany you," Lucy responded casually.

"Oh, it's a decent place, I promise!" He assured her as he knew he has quite the reputation of being indecent.

About fifteen minutes later, Li Xuan stood in front of her office gate, leaning against his car as he waited for her to come out. When she finally came out, he offered her a friendly smile which she returned without any hesitation. And then like a gentleman, he opened the car for her to settle in.

"Where are we going, Senior?" Lucy asked him as he speed of the car.

At first, he wanted to keep it as a surprise but when he saw that question in her blue eyes, he ended up revealing their destination. "Amusement park,"

A faint smile loomed on her lips at the mention of amusement park. Then she glanced at her attire, she was wearing a checked skirt of brown colour which was a few inches shorter than her ankle and a turtleneck black sweater complimented by her favourite combat boots. Well, it was a semi-formal dress...

Their silent drive got interrupted by her phone ringtone,

I love it when you call me Señorita~

I wish I could pretend I didn't need ya~

Lucy picked up the phone call which was certainly from Krish, her best friend. Before she could even utter a single word, Krish's cheerful voice came from the other end of the phone, "Hi bestie! do you know which colour of clothes we should wear for the Goodluck? I am in grave need of luck since I'm going to finally submit my photography to my dream company."

Lucy frowned at the weird question of her friend then said "Whichever colour you wear, I don't think your rotten luck will show you any mercy." Her response was something that made Li Xuan cast a side glance at her.

"You! you just never know how to encourage someone!" Krish complained. He didn't call her because he wanted to know the colour of the clothes! All he wanted was good wishes from her because he was going to submit his photographs, and as an orphan he was, the only person he considered to be his family was her. But his best friend just loved to annoying him, how frustrating!

As Lucy knew she has irritated him enough and now was time to console him, she said, "I mean you can't have both the Goodluck and the awesome skills at the same time, no?" then she added "Just go for it because I believe in you. Besides, your luck is not that bad since you have got an awesome best friend like me." Lucy didn't forget to boast about herself.

That's what Krish wanted to hear, that his best friend believes in him. "Don't flatter yourself. It's you who is lucky to have me as your best friend!" Of course, he was the one going to have the last words.

Lucy just shook her head then said "Yeah, whatever."

By the time Lucy disconnected the phone call, Li Xuan has already driven them to their destination. "So, Señorita, eh?" Li Xuan remarked in a teasing tone as he continued, "Don't worry, since you love to be called Señorita, I'll do that honour."

Lucy blinked in confusion. Then it finally dawned her, he was talking about her phone ringtone! And she burst into laughter.

The teasing smile on his lips and the playfulness in his eyes vanished away as he found himself to getting lost in her laughter. "I swear this is the most beautiful music I have ever heard..." He uttered under his breath which she didn't hear And he too didn't realize it.

When she was finally done with laughing she said "I have no such fantasies, Senior. I just happen to like the sound of this music." then she added, "But you can call me whatever you wish to."
