Drake.
"The Lycan Alpha said what?" I yelled at my Beta when he said that. How can the Alpha ask for such from me, and only that the Lycan Alpha dares to give me an order as if I am a child?
"I am sorry, my Alpha. That is what the Lycan Alpha said and what he wants."
I felt angry as I just didn't know what to do. If I don't make peace, I risk losing a lot, and we get all of our supplies from the Lycan pack. So no matter what I think is best, I must accept the offer.
I stared at my Beta, who waited for my reply, and I spoke.
"Go send my message to him that I accept, and I will come and see him."
As my Beta walked away, I couldn't hold the anger in me. I felt like I was trying to contain myself, but no matter what, I need to do everything to ensure that I don't become a loser in the eyes of others.
As the door of my room opened, I looked to see Lia as she walked in. Since I got married to her, my life has been a mess. She doesn't know how to do anything; the only thing she is good at is eating, gaining power, and looking for a way we can both have sex.
As she walked over to me, just as she was about to touch me, I moved away and stared at her.
"Why are you here?" I asked her, and she chuckled just as I said that and stared at me.
"You have been avoiding me ever since you made me your Luna. You refuse to touch me, talk to me, or even try all we could to get pregnant and have children of our own."
Looking at her, I never once thought about having a child with her. The only reason I married her was that I didn't want to be known as an Alpha without a Luna. I studied her, trying to understand what she really wanted and when she would give up trying to make me feel like someone who no longer knew what he was doing.
"What do you want?" I said with a hint of anger in me.
"What do you think I want?" She replied back as if she was actually angry as well.
As I tried to walk away, she blocked my path, and we both stared at each other.
"Are you still thinking about her? I thought by now you must have forgotten about her. What the heck is wrong with you? I am your wife, your Luna, and the one who will give you children."
Looking at her, I just didn't know if I should laugh or yell. I had very big issues on the ground, and here she was talking about being the mother of my children.
I pushed her away, and I walked out of the room, only for her to follow me behind.
"What have you gotten into, Drake? You don't act like the Drake I once knew. You have changed after Emily left."
I stopped when she mentioned Emily's name, turned around, and stared at her, walking a bit closer to her.
"You have no right to call Emily's name. You are not fit to say her name."
Both of us stared at each other for a moment, and then she started laughing.
"Don't tell me you miss her. Don't forget that you rejected her in front of the entire pack 7 years ago, and yet you still dwell in pain because you miss her. Take a break, Drake, and look at what you are doing to yourself. You are making things worse, and you think you are going to be strong this way. You should be glad you kicked that woman out and have me instead. But instead of being happy, you only keep regretting."
I turned around and walked away. I didn't say a word to her; talking to her was pointless, and seeing her face was also pointless.
As I walked out of the castle, my Beta stood beside me, and I heard him speak, "I have sent word, my Alpha, so they are waiting for your approval."
I stopped and turned to look at him as I spoke, "Get the carriage and everything ready. We are going to the Lycan pack. I would like to see who this Lycan Alpha is and why he wants me to come down to meet him."
As he nodded and walked away, I heard Lia's voice, "And I will go as well. I want to see the Alpha who made my Alpha this upset."
I didn't say a word and just walked away. If this is the way to make peace, then so be it, but I hope Lia doesn't cause any trouble.
After a few minutes, everything was ready, and I was off to the Lycan pack. I decided to sit in a different carriage away from Lia, and keeping the silence was the best choice.
After a few hours, we arrived at the Lycan pack, and I could see how beautiful it was. No wonder my father praised them and spoke highly of them. But one thing I didn't understand was why the Lycan Alpha seemed so rude. Why would he want me to kneel in front of him or have my father committed a sin before he died?
As our carriage stopped, I got down and turned towards the big gate. It opened, and just then, a lady walked out with a smile on her face.
"Welcome, Alpha Drake. Thank you for coming to my pack. I am Alpha Emily, and I am happy to see you."
Looking at her, I was in shock as I was left speechless. Was she the Alpha? Was she a she, not a he? Can this be real? It had never been recorded that an Alpha is a female.
