Encounter

Chloe's POV

I brought out the magic gloves father gave me the other day, I was told I just awakened a electromagnetic static power, which ended up hurting Henry at my first outleash.

Luckily he didn't brood over it, Henry is a sweet guy, his only shortcomings is that he gets provoked easily and is quick to exercise his Alpha dominance on people who get on his bad side.

Actually I apologized later that day, because he was hurt severely.

After that day he stopped provoking me, and now he seems to respect my wishes.

Kara has been called a weakling since young because she had no wolf, or maybe according to the rumors, she hasn't been able to awaken her wolf.

I figured that if I had to be in the midst of shifters, I would have to be strong, and self-reliant.

Even though my current family is wealthy, I think around here, you have to be strong on others to gain respect and recognition.

And I definitely won't let Tom, Dick and Hary to insult me.

I finally made it to the training ground, I saw some of the scout members were training, while some were dueling with each other.

"Kara up for a challenge?" The Delta walks towards me, grinning like though he won some lottery.

"I bet I could need some training and advice to enhance my agility and reflexes." Shook fleeted through his eyes.

"I guess there is always a first time for everything girl."

He beckons to one of the scout trainers.

"Janet showed Kara some moves." The brunette snorted but obliged under the pressure of their Delta.

"Yes, Delta." Janet sprang up from her position and lunged towards me as she gave me a double strong punch on my stomach, her attacks were fierce and unexpected, it's as though she has a personal vendetta against me. I lost my balance falling backwards as I grunted in pain.

In my past life at fifteen, I did practice Tai chi for three months. Once With my uncle, I visited China and my stepfather's brother said I needed to learn how to protect myself.

Back then, I only learned for three months and gave up, because it hurts like hell, and the exercises are tremendous and tough for a little girl like me.

Because, as the daughter of a well known millionaire, we had assassins and business rivals on our tail.

It is stated that ' the road to live a life of luxury is not easy.'

"Nice one Janet." Delta commented as he gave me a scornful look, he looked quite pleased with Janet.

Janet smirked as she looked at me, jealousy gleaming in her eyes.

I stood up, dusted myself before speaking up.

I positioned myself again, and muttered, " I would like to go for another duel.'

"Delta Alan I never admitted defeat?" My gaze was very stubborn and determined.

"Though you are the Alpha's daughter, will it do you any good to embarrass yourself?" Janet mocked, feeling quite smug.

"Let's see then." I positioned myself for a rematch.

Janet looked at the Delta, to see if he aquiscienced.

Getting a nod as approval, her eyes shone with a viscous glint.

"Hah, then let's do it." Janet sped towards me, getting ready to punch me, at first, I stood still as I tried to use my eyesight to detect her moves.

I countered her moves with my palm outstretched as I jabbed her chest instantly and Janet backed away in surprise.

Seeing her expression, I smiled at her.

Janet got agitated and came at me again, after evading her attack, used my palm to knife her neck, Janet staggered as she fell on her butt, clutching her neck in pain.

She groaned in anger.

"Don't force me to use this on you." My eyes were very determined and a brutal glint flashed past it.

Laughter erupted among the trainees and scout groups.

Still in my position, I withdrew my palm and blew out the invisible dust to show my dominance.

Resounding claps echoed in the background as I looked behind me in surprise to see Henry and The Alpha there.

"Brilliant Kara,truly brilliant, am proud of you my baby girl." It was this host's father, he kind of seemed to be fond of Kara. I smiled at him, this time my smile was genuine, not forced.

"I refuse, she was a weakling before!, don't you all find it strange that she became stronger?" Janet got up and vehemently protested out of embarrassment, the fury in her eyes can't be quenched.

"Kara, that's right, where did you learn those strange moves from?" Henry asked with surprise and curiosity, lacing his voice.

I rolled my eyes at him, he noticed I won't reply to him and opted to keep quiet.

"Who knows, she suddenly woke up and claimed to lose her memory, she might have been cursed, first of all wolfless and her fingers emits a strange energy." Another voice quipped, she seemed to be the friend of Janet.

"How can you just defeat our assistant female scout leader in just a swift move? That doesn't make sense."

Their opposing voices became louder and louder in my ears.

"Look at her arrogant expression, she is used to being haughty because of the alpha dots on her."

I bit my lips to contain my anger, I warned myself inwardly.

'Klara, this is not your past life where you can do things by just paying money, here you have to become more powerful to be feared by all.'

Realizing the suititation isn't good, Henry interrupted

"Anyways, good job." He said after scratching his head awkwardly.

I looked back at the Delta, " Delta Alan, I am the alpha's daughter and I, Kara silvador, demand some respect! As my father's subordinates, you watch them bully me with words. I won't warn them again, and don't blame me for not being polite!"

Without another glance I walked away from the arena.

"I won't accept today's results! Kara, I was just putting into consideration that you are wolfless and let you win just now. If you are that capable, let's have a rematch."

I stopped in my tracks , without turning to grace her with my face, a smirk trailed on my lips.

I still can't get used to the fact that I am in the midst of shape shifters. I thought stuff like this is really a fantasy? And I've been here for nearly a week.

I've also seen the way they shape shift into their wolf form.

To shift is quite painful as they usually howl, I'm afraid of pain, I can't imagine myself changing into an animal.

Logically speaking, these shape shifters are based in the deep forests away from humans, but they have business and companies in the cities which are full of humans.

There are a total of five packs that I've come to know of; silver moon pack, The crescent moon pack, shadow pack, crimson pack and the rogue pack.

The reason why they are named the rogue pack is that they accept any rogue without running a series of background checks on any new rogue member before accepting them.

I sighed in boredom, since I arrived here I have just been recuperating and memorizing my surroundings.

And at least I have understood some things, tomorrow is the full moon.

At least now I have both mom and dad and they won't be dying anytime soon.

I lay on my bed after today's strolling because my nerves are about to wreck and I am exhausted.

Yes, I have seen the way people here train, I joined them again this afternoon although I don't remember the steps but surprisingly this body is extremely strong. The training was harsh. I can't remember how many jumping jacks I did, there were times Henry kicked me in the gut, I kept on fighting without giving up till I mastered the steps and was able to use my own skills to injure him a few times.

After my argument with Janet, I asked Henry to train me to become stronger.

I smiled as I remembered what he said this afternoon, "Kara,, if you keep up the pace of your learning ability you might surpass me, and am afraid Dad might pass the position of the Alpha to you." He was obviously joking.

"As if…" I snorted and made a sneak attack, catching him off guard.

He chuckled at my reply and looked at me in interest.

"Really, Kara? when did you get so fierce?" Disbelief displayed on his face.

I smiled in return without giving him any answers as I made my way out of the training ground.

"Hey Maddison, are you up for a duel?" Henry asked. Madison just finished fighting with one of the werewolves from the pack.

Madison smirked.

"Why not?" And just like that they both started dueling.

Once Dad passes his position to Henry, Madison will become the next Beta of the pack. Well he is a silent type of person, not really my cup of tea.

But I won't lie to you , all these guys are hot, they would really pass for a model if they existed in my past life.

Stopping my thoughts I drifted off to sleep since I felt like my brain has been overwhelmed with lots of stress.

The moment my head hits the pillow, the atmosphere changed.

I saw a woman with pure white hair, like that of a wool, she looked beautiful, this woman has a semblance to this host's mother, in the dream I stood in a forest filled with tiny creatures that releases wisp of light that glitters on their skin, it was an amazing sight to behold, I have never seen such a beautiful phenomenon all my life.

"What are these?" I asked with a smile as the creature's were blabbering non stop, I can't hear the language they were speaking.

I got this feeling that they were trying to talk to me as they kept motioning me to a particular direction.

I instinctively followed them to satisfy my curiosity.

"Wow!!!" I clamped my lips shut as I let my hands touch the blue magic scepter, it was very heavy if you ask me, but I ended up lifting it up after three trials.

"You are the scepter's new master" a gentle voice whispered into my ears.

I instantly snapped my attention back to the white haired lady.

"Who are you?!" Her voice was melodious but I still looked at her warily.

What if she has evil intentions?

"Kara Salvador, the chosen one, our savior and our master. All hail!!" At the sound of her voice, the scepter released a blue lightning that coerced through the sky as all the little creatures bowed at me.

I was filled with shock and fear, as my whole body trembled because of the lightning from the scepter in my hands, which kept draining my energy. I felt as though my bones were on fire.

I tried to let it go but it won't get off my hands. The pain was tremendous.

I woke up from the dream the next minute as my breathing got heavy.

My face glistened with sweat. I grabbed the bed covers and climbed down the bed, I looked at my fingers and smoke was still coming out of it.

I realized that it was caused by a burn mark.

My hands hurt like hell.

I checked the time only to realize that it's 3:00 am in the morning and the whole place is shrouded in darkness, apart from the yellow light emitting from my lamp.

I needed to cool my head, my body aches with pain, as my heart beats rapidly in anxiety and fear.

"This is just the beginning, little one." A whisper came into my ear, I looked and found no one.

I felt a shadow crept in behind me.

I was so scared, because I knew I didn't see anyone in my bedroom before.

Fear gripped me and I ran out of the room into the dense forest.

I ran and felt the sound of something chasing with all seriousness.

I ran without looking behind me, I was certain that I'd been running for nearly an hour. The next thing I knew, I was thrown into a cold embrace by that force.

"Urgh." I grunted in pain. The body I collided with was strong like steel.

My forehead swelled and it hurts a lot.

The huge guy stares at me with interest. Realizing that I ignored the other party, I raised my eyes and met with an unfamiliar murky red eyes.

I felt a shill climb up my back.

"Oh, you came right in time." His cold and aggressive voice reached my ears, but seemed to have another effect on me.

He grabbed my throat and raised my face to get it to his level. This guy in front of me is attractive as hell.

A handsome cold blooded demon stared back at me.

I felt fear crept inside me from his predatory gaze.

A shadow made a swift contact with me and grazed my skin, drawing blood from it.

I looked back in fear and trepidation, only to see a whooshing black cloaked form. Its gender was unidentifiable.

The next moment the hunk of a man jabbed my neck and everything went blank.
