4 Chapter: 4, the new beginning

"Promise me, please…"

She knew at that moment that she didn't have much time, she could feel her life leaving her, and this was probably her last chance, and she did not want to lose it, She was feeling herself going into darkness. Despite the effort, her eyelids were getting heavy. She could hear many voices around her, but the one she was waiting for was still not there for her to hear.

"Adam...."

The doctors were trying to persuade her to let him put on a mask, but Adam's response was the most important thing for Sarah.

Seeing his mother being stubborn like this, Adam moved next to her in two steps and said.

"I will do whatever you say. I will contact them. Please don't hurt yourself!." Adam's words were enough to stop her pain, and in a moment she was lost in the darkness.

No matter how long the doctors tried to bring back her heartbeat, it all proved useless. Finally, after trying for fifteen more minutes, Dr. Smith took two steps away from her, and he looked at Adam with an apologetic gaze.

"I'm sorry..."

"No, no! Please do something! You can't let her die on me!! Please, Doctor! Do something, bring her back..!" Adam was in complete denial, he didn't care about anything, he just wanted her mother back.

But Dr. pursing his lips, he just put his hand on his shoulder expressing his condolence, but Adam didn't want his sympathy, he wanted his sole reason for being alive back, he wanted his beloved mother back!

Looking at his mother, lifeless, he never felt so helpless before, this pain was making him lose his senses, he was still begging the doctor, holding Sarah's face in his hands, kissing her forehead, begging her to open her eyes. But when she still did not open her eyes, he couldn't stop his tears from flowing out of his reddened eyes, and he put his forehead against his mother's.

"Mom, Come back... Please." Tears were falling from Adam's eyes. But this time his mother couldn't wipe them away for him.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

It was the end of September, and the weather was getting colder day by day. The sun was down, and with it came a chilled breeze. The afterglow of the sunset was still lingering on the horizon.

Nonchalant of everything in the external world, Adam was sitting on a bench, lost in his world.

A week had passed since Sarah's funeral, but the grief of losing her was still as fresh as it was the day before. He still couldn't believe that his beloved mother had left him.

After his Baba left, she was always there for him. Whenever Adam needed her, he had always found her beside him.

But today, she was nowhere to be seen...

His mother wanted him to contact his father's family, it was her last wish, But he still hadn't contacted them yet, he couldn't convince himself to contact those people who hated his mother and broke their relationship with his father.

But he had promised his mother, and he was willing to do anything for that promise.

He pulled Sarah's phone out of his jeans pocket and switched it on.

As soon as the phone switched on, notifications of several missed calls and messages appeared on the screen. Adam checked all the missed calls, all the contacts he knew, but there was only one name that he had heard only a week ago, from his mother.

Don't know for how long he just kept looking at that name without doing anything. But then finally, after taking a long breath, he called back this number.

Just after two bells, the call was picked up by someone on the other side.

"Hello, Sarah Bhabhi?" He heard someone's voice laced with worry and concern.

"No, it's me, Adam." He said hesitantly. When Adam said this

At his words, silence spread to the other side. He certainly wasn't expecting to hear his voice.

"Adam, my son, how are you? And where's your mother? Is she all right?."

Adam couldn't deny that he was surprised with his concerned tone.

Are these the same people who hated his mother and father?

While he was surprised with this person, at the same time hearing his mother's name, his heart pained again, and his vision began to blur with his tears.

"Mom, she's no more, she died last week." And with those words, all the dams broke and his barely held tears started flowing without any hindrance.

Adam leaned against the bench and closed his eyes.

"Adam, are you all right?" He heard his Murad uncle's concerned voice. He can feel that he was worried about him. However, he didn't care about them. He wanted to tell him that he didn't want this new family. But remembering his promise to his mother, he changed his decision.

"Yes," he could only say this much.

"Adam…"

"I'll talk to you later," Adam cut off the call before he could finish.

Putting the mobile back in his pocket, he again closed his eyes and began to feel the chilling breeze touching his face.

"You too will be tormented, Adam! Whatever you have done to me, God will never forgive you! You will wish for death, but you will never get it!"

"Aayat…" with her name, he opened his eyes, his chest was heaving with his heavy breathing.

Her painful words were still echoing in his ears.

Adam looked at the time in his watch and found out that he had been sleeping on the bench for 15 minutes. And as always, her words in his dream woke him up.

He drew back his hair from his forehead with his hands, and then rubbed them to his face.

His heart was still pounding against his chest, her face was so clear in his dream that he can still remember her reddened eyes looking at him with hatred.

"You were right, Aayat, this life has become a torment for me, and I want to die to end this torment...
