Chapter 65

Ahishar sat besides her daughter feeding her the herbal tea which was meant to help her and the child feel better.

"Mum,I want to talk about something with you" Sophia asks bowing her head down

What if her mother felt bad that she couldn't even trust her?

She never brought up her father's topic to save Ahishar the pain of remembering her husband abadoned her for his kind.

Why did she never tell her that he was a very great socerer,strong enough to become the leader of his kind?

"I'm all ears Soph,but first you'd listen to me carefully" Ahishar glared at her daughter.

She knew what she was going to say,she wasn't Witch Queen for nothing.

"I hate that you don't love this child Sophia,I hate that you are still careless even when the responsibility on your shoulders have doubled" Ahishar scoffed.

Silence reigned after her words, Ahishar thought she didn't love her own child?

How could a mother not love her child? Didn't Ahishar love her?

"Mum?" She could feel tears threatening to fall.

"Hasn't Tal asked you before? haven't I? do you take this child as just your way to save your people? is it just your solution?" Ahishar asked harshly

"Mum,you love me so much,I love my child the same way you love me"

"I don't think so at all,I love you and you know it because of my actions,tell me what you've done to keep this safe? what have you done to prove you love this child?" Ahishar asks

Sophia kept mute.

She hadn't done anything to keep her darling baby safe, nothing at all instead she had walked head straight into danger.

"I love him mum" She whispered.

"You have a responsibly to him as you have to our people I think I need to remind you that"

"I'm sorry"

"Sorry? and more especially to me? I'm not the one you've putten in harm's way" Ahishar shrugged.

Sophia placed her hand on her belly closed her eyes achieve wanting to connect to her baby.

"I'm sorry love,I promise to think of you first next time"

"Oh? they'll be a next time?" Ahishar snorted.

"No there won't" She was quick to reply.

Ahishar smiled finally getting it off her chest. "What did you want to talk about?"

"Uhm...mm..Dad" She trailed off.

" .....And what about him?"Ahishar asked with furrowed eyebrows.

"I met the leader of the socerers now" Sophia says.

"they are working with the Queen of Merrai?"Ahishar asks.

"How did you know?" Sophia looked at her mother in shock. "I'm the mother of the Queen of course I would have a little amount of magic like her?" Ahishar raise her eyebrows.

"Yeah,how can I forget that my mum is a powerful witch" She rolled her eyes.

So far things were going smoothly for her, maybe,just maybe her mother had gotten over her father.

"The leader claims to be my father mum,he claims I have soccery in my blood and wants me to join them" She adds

"What?"

"Your father is leader now?"

"He is my father?" Sophia breaths. "What makes you so sure?"

"I know you met your father Soph,I know he is your father the same way you know I am your mom" Ahishar sighs

"He won't stop until you join them and I know how violent, dispeakable and pressurizing your father can get" She whispers.

Sophia moved to hug Ahishar. "How do you feel mum?"

"i want to meet him,I feel angry Sophia. How dare he want to take my daughter from me after leaving us all these years? She was a sobbing mess now.

"How dare he? if you were a socerer as he says why didn't he take you along that day?"She scoffed in tears.

"I'll make sure you meet him mum, afterall he said he'll come here for me if I didn't find him myself,I think this is something you must do yourself, you're my mum, I'll let you make this decision for me"Sophia hugged her mother tighter
