When Sasha left, Dominique could finally relax. He leaned back in his chair, massaging his temples.
"I can't continue this any longer," he muttered to himself. "I can't deceive Sasha and myself. There's no point in prolonging this marriage of convenience. I can't give her happiness. I don't love her."
Dominique regretted the deal he had made with Sasha. He had no control over his heart, and despite everything, he had fallen in love with Sabrina for real. That love would remain.
Athena's beautiful face flashed in his mind. 'Damn. I miss her already… and Aaron, too.'
Dominique wished for the days to pass quickly until the weekend, eagerly anticipating the moments he would spend with Aaron and Athena.
The thought of seeing Athena and Aaron brought a small, genuine smile to his face. He just had to hold on a little longer, and then he could figure out how to make things right.
'I have to find a way to end things with Sasha.'
