Except if...

Panic. Fear. They engulfed Raziah almost completely, and all she could do was run as she carried her friend into her arms. The palace was already close to the event center, and Raziah would immediately seek medical attention for Maria who was still barely awake from the shot.

"M..my princess..." Maria mumbled softly as more blood rushed out of the injury. She was getting paler with every ticking second, and her limp body in Raziah's arms only made the Princess more scared for her maid's life.

Just as Raziah was about to reach the palace, a hand came out of nowhere and pulled her, dragging her towards her right. Startled, Raziah was this close to kicking whoever it was away from her when Maria whispered again, "Fabia?"

"Yes, Maria," The Small woman wearing a red cloak replied in a hush. Seeing that Maria knew the woman, Raziah faced the woman properly as she kept on pulling her, "Can't you see she's wounded? Where are you taking me?"

"No one has seen your faces yet. You're putting on the same colored cloak the archers were too. Do you see where this is going?" Fabia was still facing front as she led them further away from the palace, through a lonely path down the bushes.

"Fabia..." Maria groaned in pain, her face squeezing shut. Her cloth was already soaked in blood, and the worse part was that blood wouldn't stop oozing out.

"Stop talking till I take care of that injury!" Fabia Grumbled back at Maria. It didn't take more than three minutes and they finally get to their destination. There was a huge tree along the path which Fabia asked Raziah to lay Maria on the small sheets draped across it.

"You're gonna be fine," Raziah gently patted Maria's head, cleaning the sweat that had gathered over her forehead. Tearing the clothing out of the way, Fabia immediately grabbed the edge of the arrow and without hesitation, she pulled it out swiftly.

Maria cried out excruciatingly, squirming and grunting as the pain seem to double up around her arm. Her face had constricted badly, and it ached at Raziah's heart so bad that she quickly grabbed Maria's hand and squeezed hard, "I'm so sorry, you have to bear the pain." She uttered under her breath.

"Next time I ought to choke you first with a rag. Way to go screaming to reveal our location," Fabia scowled, rolling her eyes as she threw away the arrow, "Now let me..." Then she froze suddenly, her hands clenching around her as she grew even stiffer.

"What is it?" Raziah had just asked in panic when she also saw what Fabia was looking at. It had been hard to notice because of all the blood around, but the area around the injury had turned dark purple, and it was spreading fast through her veins.

"Poison," Fabia muttered softly.

"The arrow was poisoned," Raziah said to herself, her lips slightly trembling as she watched Maria's skin grow paler. The poison had already spread through her neck, and most of her veins had turned into that shade. Maria was having severe trouble breathing too.

"Can't you do anything? You were the one who brought us here!"

Fabia glanced at Raziah, actually seeing her for the first time. She resembled one of those Princesses from fairytale stories that her mother usually read to her at night, but this one had the coldest and most distant eyes Fabia has ever seen on anyone. Plus, Raziah was way calmer than anyone expected her to be on the outside.

"I thought it was a simple injury," Fabia confessed, already losing hope. She was never the type to lose hope because she happened to also be good when it came down to poisons but this particular poison...

Picking up the arrow again, Fabia quickly examined it and her suspicions were correct. A poison that could kill in less than ten minutes, and the remedy was incredibly rare that even the best of sorcerers and doctors could hardly obtain it.

A coughing sound had them whipping their attention back to Maria who was now gushing out blood from her mouth, her body burning hot in Raziah's arms. The dark shade of blood ran down the sides of her face as her chocolate brown eyes began losing their color.

"Isn't there... anything you can do?" Raziah gritted her teeth, still retaining her calmness on the outside. The only action that interpreted how much she was in panic was the way she kept squeezing Maria's hand, "Anything at all? Isn't there any doctor nearby?"

"Oh, Maria!!" Fabia pouted, gritting her teeth hard as she stroked Maria's hard softly, "Unfortunately, I'm the best one around. I'm so so sorry,"

Raziah stared into Maria's eyes, a suffocating sense of pain and awareness crashing over her chest over and over again, "Then reduce her pain, can't you do that? Take it away completely. She's in so much pain. You can at least do that, can't you?"

"My...prin..." Maria's frail and meek tone was cut off as more blood spilled out of her lips. Her whole body was already paralyzed by the poison and in that very short amount of time, her purple skin had already turned black. The veins under her chin were already affected too, and it was as if there wasn't a drop of blood in her body anymore. She was almost as white as a corpse.

"You can't call yourself the best if you can do nothing about this," Raziah's cold eyes watered as she punched the ground hard, "You can't do that, you can't do that... Raziah! She's going to die too! You can't let that happen, not on your watch. Never on your watch again!!" She slammed her small yet hard fist on the solid earth beneath her. Fabia's gray eyes widened slightly as she noticed the small crack that occurred.

Huh?

Ignoring the unbelievable sight, Fabia quickly yielded to pressing against Maria's chest to give her more time to live, "Before we waste more time than we already have, go and seek help. Take off your cloak first. You must know something who can be of assistance right? I'll try my best to keep her breathing till you..."

"You can't call yourself her daughter if you can't do something as simple as this," Raziah murmured again, her Frozen globes a darker shade now. Fabia was stunned straight to the core as she witnessed something she thought she would never see again. Maybe it was just her, or was she really seeing the princess's hair getting longer?

It wasn't just getting longer, the gold in them was taking up a soft glow.

The unbearable amount of hopelessness that had swallowed Raziah's soul was immediately outshined by her slight outburst due to the memories of her past, and that revenge plan that has been swimming in her head ever since. Maria the crybaby was her maid back then - they were silly and stupid together with Savannah.

Seeing a tear sliding down Maria's face broke Raziah's restraints even before she could gather and control herself again. Raziah remembered everyone's screams like it happened yesterday, and her brave maid who had sacrificed her life just so Raziah could make it out alive. The memories were deafeningly Fear-inspiring, and extremely choking to the gut.

You could imagine Fabia's stunned looks turning into an inexplicable wave of shock as she watched Raziah place her hand directly on the Injury. It was as if the deity of silence had just passed by as even a needle drop would have been heard at that unbelievable moment that Fabia was lucky enough to witness.

Fabia has spent twenty-five years of her life as a doctor. She's healed so many, and she had dedicated her life to continue that way. Her family lineage was born to serve a certain people - whom Fabia found out years ago had been wiped out from the surface of the planet by an unknown force.

The kingdom had been lost, and everyone now knows it as the lost kingdom which had absolutely no survivor.

Until Fabia Met Maria.

Given, Fabia knows about every poison out there. She was a very good doctor, but sometimes there happens to be an extremely rare sickness that was out of her hand. When she had seen the poison, she had instantly shut her eyes and lost hope. The poison was so potent that there aren't any painkillers that could work against it, and you're confirmed to be dead in less than ten minutes. Not to mention, the pain alone that came with the poison would make the victim wish they were never born in the first place.

Except if...

Awestruck, there was nothing Fabia could do or say at the moment when the poison was suddenly sucked out of Maria's body with only Raziah's palm over the area, and just like that the strange princess waved her palm sideways, and the dark essence of the poison spilled out of the injury.

The oozing blood stopped flowing, and Maria's skin tangled together again and closed, with only a small scar left.

The next twenty seconds passed in a blur with no one saying a word. Raziah's glowing hair had gone back to normal, but the new Upper-arm length remained the same.

"Oh my God!" Fabia was the one screaming now as Maria's brown eyes became candid again, her skin returning to its normal color, "Princess, You are a Hea..."
