#Chapter33
There were times when Stryker wondered what the world had been like when humans ran it. He knew from history books that most things were the same; they had mimicked their chains of society and their odd customs until they had become their own.
Yet, as Stryker eyed his large Coke, two pumps of blood and two sweeteners in, he doubted that had been part of the normal routine for humans. In fact, when he thought about it, most of their fast food places had different menus for different species, cooked in different ways for different needs.
He hadn't thought anything of it— not even all the times that he and Jamie had eaten out together— until earlier that morning. It was a Saturday morning and he had treated Jamie by taking him out for breakfast.
Except they hadn't gone to the usual place. As he had been planning on meeting Kernal after, he had found somewhere closer to their meet point. Only to have Jamie refused entry.
