Hearing his unreasonable reply, kaisha stood still, staring at him dumbfoundedly seeing that she didn't understand what he meant, he tugged at her wrist and dragged her down to sit on his laps and explained what he meant in a clearer sentence.

"i said i'd take responsibility for the kiss, i promise you" but unfortunately kaisha wasn't having any of that.

"you'd take responsibility?? are you kidding me?? you knew i went out on a date today,but you came to my house and kissed me.

already the date was successful, and i'd probably have a boyfriend in the near future, how do you want me to explain to him that my first kiss was taken by my boss, on the same night we had our first date, does that sound right to you???" kaisha fumed angrily even though she knew that most of what she said was a blatant lie.

"so you said your date went well? that's cool... i'd really like for little miss Wilhelm to brief me on what went on during the date" javier had a mischievious smirk playing on his thin lips.

almost immediately kaisha jumped out of his arms.

"uhhmm... you.. you.. why do you wanna know?... i'm not telling you, it's not like you care" kaisha replied hastily as her eyes twitched continuously. javier laughed lightly as he saw her reaction.

"calm down kitty, you don't have to be so feisty you know, i just asked a friendly question"

"but just so you know, i happened to know that, that silly date of yours has a woman in his life, and she might just tear you apart if she gets to know that you are going out with him.....tsk tsk what a pity" javier let out a sad sigh as he looked at kaisha, whose face had been washed with fright.

"she won't seriously do that will she?... but we already ended things, she can't possibly find out about our date and come for me this night right? that will be so unreasonable, but what if she comes? what will i do then...." kaisha muttered to herself as her thought ran wild once again

little did she know that someone took pleasure in watching her the present state of anxiety.

DING DONG

"Oh, our food is here" javier stood up and headed towards the door, but was stopped as kaisha ran and stood in front of the door.

"wait, you can't open it yet, what if it was he's wife, how did she find me so quickly?... we aren't opening this door" she stated with a tone of finality as she stood firmly in front the door.

"get out of my way kaisha, i'm starving, i don't the willpower to listen to your crazy fantasies" with that javier carried her up an dropped her on his shoulders, like she was a sack, he opened the door, collected the food from the delivery man and shut the door back.

"why were you behaving so weirdly, i thought you said the date went well, from the look of things, you didn't look surprised at the fact that he played you" he opened the box of pizza and went to get a plate from the kitchen.

"you caught me, unfortunately, turns out he just wanted to lead me on and break the news to me, i felt sad but i didn't dwell on it, i just feel like i wasted a pretty dress for a jerk like him" she sighed dejectedly as she heard javier chuckle lightly.

"uh.. did i just hear you laugh??... this is so crazy, seriously this the first time i've seen you laugh and its a very beautiful sight"

"is that so?" javier asked as if this was the first time he heard that he had a beautiful smile.

"yes, you didn't know this?, i'm really serious.

you should smile often, it suits you"

"but then if i smile often, i'd get lots of people, especially girls admiring me, and i'd also be hearing lots of people telling me 'you should smile often' 'i love your smile' 'you look like you have a nice personality' when i know that i hate those compliment and i'm nothing like what they portray me to be" he explained patiently to her

"oh that's true, do you wanna know something Mr Marshall?"

"tell me"

"i really envy you, not in a bad way but in a good way actually, at such a young age, you've been able to handle such a big and famous conglomerate singlehandedly, you have such a heavy responsibility, yet you joggle it with your personal life like it's nothing, it's so inspiring."

"well.. i don't do it singlehandedly, i have the help of my employees and my able personal assistant, you guys make the work quite easier for me, so i have my employees to thank for doing a good job in making Marshall group successful. and my life is not as great as you think.

sometimes, people tend to wish they were living the kind of life others are living, without knowing what the other person is going through behind close doors. so instead of wishing to be like other people, aspire to be the best version of yourself."

"okay, i'll take that as a free advise from the big boss, you know, not many people have the opportunity to have a one on one talk with the almighty Javier Marshall.. and i must say i'm quite honored" kaisha made a dramatic bow to javier as she went back to eating her pizza.

"so... about me being your first kiss, why haven't you had a boyfriend in the past, because as far as i know you're too pretty to be unnoticed." kaisha choked on the cola she was drinking as her face reddened with embarrassment.
