Chapter 5

I was getting dressed to go to school since I'd missed the past week.

I went downstairs and Madeleine is not there yet. I move on to her room and find that she is still getting dressed.

"Can you please hurry up or else we are going to be late."

"I'm trying okay but mom isn't here to wake me up."

"Ohh Yeah I forgot about that, well I'll be waiting for you in the car we will get Starbucks and donuts on our way."

"Fine."

I take my school bag and make sure to not forget the homework I've been completing in the past week plus a doctor's note that my parents got for me.

After getting the donuts and Starbucks I take Maddy to school and head towards my hell. I wonder what's in store for me today.

Walking through the hallways with my Starbucks in one hand and my bag over my shoulder I head towards my locker. My pace gets slower and eventually stops as I realize the noise has subsided. I turn around and everyone is looking at me.

'Great.' I say mentally. I decided to go on towards my locker when someone bumps into me spilling my venti caramel Frappuccino.

Standing in my spot with a hot beverage all over me I look toward the person who bumped into me.

"Ohh I'm sorry, I didn't mean to." She says in the fakest apologetic manner I have seen while covering her mouth with her fingers but I could see the sly smile behind her dainty hands.

I give her one more look and pick up the fallen cup. As she leaves she bends down and whispers. "That should teach to not mess with what's not yours."

I slightly look over my shoulder and stand up. "Maybe you should say that a bit louder." I turn to look at her.

"What? me." She points towards herself giving me an innocent look. A pick me, girl move for sure .

"Yes bitch you." I walk towards her. " if you have a problem with me say it to my face with your chest."

She stumbles back a bit and starts crying. "She pushed me."

Ohh she's asking for it. "Honey I wouldn't dare push you, I don't do such I will beat your blond ass up, don't try me." I turn around and walk towards the bathroom to try and remove some of this drink off my shirt.

Ann walks in as I'm dabbing paper towels on my white shirt. "Ohh honey I heard what happened and honestly you do not want to mess with Rachel Green."

"Please she's the last person on my mind."

"Just promise me you will stay away from her."

"It depends if she starts it, and I'm not one to walk away from a fight. My dad did not raise me like that."

"Rachel's dad has donated a lot of money to this school including helping to build the natatorium for the swim team."

"So this school talks money huh."

"Yeah but not any kind of money, rumor has it that her father has donated over half a million towards this school."

"That's it?"

"It's a lot Lily, it is enough to buy the school's silence on what Rachel does behind these walls and nobody has the guts to stand up to her."

"See there's your problem I do not need guts you know why? Because I have balls, huge ones. So she better stay out of my way."

"You know you won't become class president with that kind of behavior."

"We'll see."

"Just wait here I have a spare shirt in my locker I'll be back."

"Thanks."

"And don't get into any trouble while I'm gone."

"I promise I won't." I smile at her and she leaves.

It's the second period and I'm in my English class.

The intercom goes on mid-lesson and my name gets called.

"Lilith Kronas please report to my office immediately, Lilith Kronas."

I take my bag and head to the headmaster's office.

"Take a seat please Mrs. Kronas." I put my bag down and take a seat, next to me are Rachel and her father who seems oddly familiar.

"Mrs. Kronas it has come to my attention that you have had a physical altercation with Mrs. Green over here."

"In what manner may I ask Sir?"

"Mrs. Green here claims that you pushed her now we have tried to call your parents and let them know of your physical interaction."

"Well, firstly Mr. Mercer I did not push her she intentionally bumped into making me spill my drink all over my shirt secondly my parents are out on business so they will not be answering any calls at the moment and thirdly I would like to return to my class we are learning about the meaning behind Shakespeare's words and I find it very intriguing if I do say so myself."

"Mrs. Kronas I do not appreciate your sarcasm. May you please apologize to Mrs. Green."

"Over my ravishing, dead body."

"Then that will be detention for a week."

"I'll be there." I take the slip and go.

"You see what I mean Mr. Mercer, she's rude and mean. " Rachel says wiping a fake tear.

I turn around. "Ohh please put a sock in it. You dragged your father to school because someone finally stood up to your bullshit..."

"Mrs. Kronas Language." I get interrupted by our head Master.

"My apologies sir. Learn to live up to your words and say it with your chest instead of handing out empty threats and trust that your daddy is going to get you out of every situation."

"Daddy…" She points my way.

"Get back to class Rachel." Her father says without sending a glance her way. Only now do I realize that his eyes have been glued on me this whole time.

"But..." She wines again.

"Don't make me repeat myself."

She grabs her bag and brushes past me.

"You should also get to class Mrs. Kronas."

I nod my head and leave.

Waiting by the door I find Hunter.

"Shouldn't you be in class?"

"I have a hall pass."

"Good for you."

"You wanna skip school with me."

"No."

"Why not?"

"Cause I said so."

"I'll buy you a smoothie." I don't feel like going on with the rest of the school day but going out with Hunter is a huge risk.

"Still no."

"I know this place that makes custom smoothies."

I give him a sly look. I'm tempted right now. " fine as long as you promise to not try anything."

"I promise."

Fuck being a good girl the real me is begging to be released and maybe she will.
