Chapter 40

Logan POV

He stood there, looking at the body of the prisoner, lying in a pool of his own blood. He didn't understand why this wolf would take his own life. The guards told him that the guy had clawed his own throat out and by the time they had gotten into the cell, it was too late, he was already losing too much blood.

"Alpha, what do you want us to do with the body?" one of the guards asked.

"What for nightfall and take it in the woods and burn it." Logan answered.

"Yes Alpha." the guard replied.

"Make sure nobody sees you. We need to keep this quiet." Logan told the guard before turning and walking out of the basement. The next few hours weren't going to be pleasant.

If Emma was right, and this wolf was indeed a Beta or a Gamma, then his Alpha will be looking for him. He needed to call the other packs and tell them what has happened. He also needed to call Alpha Lucian. These were not conversations that he was looking forward to.
