Chapter 28

"Mom!"

Kurohana sighed then smiled sweetly towards the kid who just spoke. The boy keeps on calling her as if checking if she's still there. However, the frequent calling makes his classmates lose focus thus, them and their parents keep glaring at him.

Jess, noticing their classmates glaring at her brother, nudges him and whispers, "Stop it, or else, I'll ask Mommy not to accompany us anymore!"

Upon hearing what his sister said, Slytherin's face was filled with sadness and was about to cry when Jess held his hand and whispered again.

"But if you got a star, it would make Mommy proud."

The boy nodded. He stopped calling Kurohana instead, he listen attentively to their lessons.

As soon as the classes ended, Slytherin immediately ran towards his mother.

"Mommy, look, I've got a star!" he said while showing his wrist proudly and with a huge grin on his lips.

Kurohana smiled and kissed his forehead.

"Wow! You're doing great, big boy."

Jess then came out as soon as she said that. The little girl is blushing as she walks towards her.

"A-.... M-mommy, l-lika na?" 

The girl's cheeks turned redder when the word "mommy" left her lips. She even accidentally bit her tongue when she was calling their attention.

"Oh my goodness, you're so cute!" Kurohana squealed when she saw how red the girl was and hugged her tightly as she showered her with kisses. The boy on the other hand couldn't help but exclaim. His face was contorted with jealousy.

"Mom! That's unfair! Why do you keep on kissing my sister and not me!"

Kurohana was stunned upon hearing the boy's tantrum. But her shock immediately turned to a sweet smile as she pulled him into a group hug and showered them both with kisses.

Doing that in the center of the hallway gathers everyone's attention. They even started whispering but Kurohana didn't mind them.

Suddenly, Slytherin's stomach growls. Kurohana smiled. She freed them from her hug and held their hands instead. 

"What do you want to eat?"

Habang kumakain sa kilalang Inn malapit sa school ay may kung sinong lumapit sa kanila. Halos sabay-sabay pa silang napakunot sa bastos na bigla na lang nakisalo sa lamesa nila.

"Been a long time, huh?" he smugly said as he impertinently sat across us.

The two kids glared at him.

Hindi man lang nito tinapunan ng tingin ang mga bata sa halip ay bigla na lang hinawakan ang kamay ng magandang babaeng kaharap.

Biglang may kung anong dumaplis sa kanyang pisngi. Agad niya itong nilingon para lang mamutla dahil kutsilyo ang sumugat sa kanya. Nanlalaki ang mga matang nagpalinga-linga siya sa paligid para lang matigilan ng mapatingin sa mga katabi ng babae.

The children have furious eyes, glaring at him. The woman whom he admired only glanced at them when Sly's eyes turned cold.

The woman immediately turned towards the guy only to see him taunting the kids.

Napailing na lang si Kurohana habang tinitignan ang tatlo. Knowing the kids, they might do something rashly.

She tried to take her hand from him but he tightened his grip. That's when Sly thrust his fork on the guy's wrist.

Napasigaw ang lalaki sa sakit sa ginawa ng bata. He was about to grab Sly when Jess silently and swiftly moved on his side with a knife pointing on his neck.

"Do it," the little girl said coldly as she smiled creepily. She even pressed the knife more. Sly on the other hand just glared at him, his eyes turned bloody red.

Tuluyan ng hindi nakagalaw ang lalaki sa takot saka tumingin kay Kurohana na parang humihingi ng tulong.

She just ignored them as she continued to eat, and feeding the kids from time to time.

Masakit pa din ang buong katawan ni Rod ng magising siya gayunpaman, pinilit niya pa ring bumangon mula sa pagkakahiga. 

"Nasaan na ho ba tayo?" tanong niya sa matanda habang palinga-linga sa paligid.

"Malapit na tayo sa lambak patawid sa Augusto."

Ang Augusto ang pangatlong kaharian sa kontinente. Kahit na ito ang pinakamaliit, ito naman ang pinakamaunlad dahil sa nakakalat ditong minahan ng mga gintonat dyamante.

Napabuntonghininga na lang si Rod sa naging sagot ng matanda. Plano niya sanang bumalik sa PraeaClara para hanapin doon ang dalaga at ang mga bata. Hindi niya akalaing dadalhin siya sa kabilang dulonng kontinente.

"Wag kang mag-alala, ligtas ka doon," sabi pa nito sabay bato ng hawak na prutas na agad ko namang nasalo.

Agad na napabusangot si Rod ng kamuntikan na niyang hindi masalo ang mansanas. Sinamaan niya ng tingin ang natanda saka nagreklamo, "Manong naman! Huwag ka namang biglang mambabato, muntikan na kong tamaan sa mukha!" 

Hindi na siya pinansin ng matanda na ngumisi lang at nagpatuloy sa pagpapaandar ng kalesa.
