Seraphina's POV

After I figured out the mystery me and Nicholas went home. Here we are sitting on the bed with him sitting against the headrest and me criss-cross applesauce in the middle. I stare at him waiting for him to talk.

"The men that you found today are responsible for the recent threats towards you're family." Way to be blunt.

"Question, what threats are you talking about?"

"Your dad didn't tell you?" He sounds surprised, but I guess so am I.

"No, he didn't include me in any mafia-type things." I shrug.

"Your dad arranged for us to protect you, girls. He had been receiving pictures and threats of you all. He thought that if you got married it would stop or you would have better protection." I nod along. "He said that it worked as he didn't receive anything until a week ago and we got something." He sighs.

"That's why you yelled at me." Kinda questioning but more of a realization.
