Chapter 47 Her Idea

Upon hearing that Gilbert had informed Alicia, who promised to find a way to bring Bryan back, Christopher was overjoyed. In the afternoon, he met with several clients. For dinner, he ate out and then spent some time at a karaoke lounge before finally heading home.

On his way home, his phone rang. Christopher answered, and a strange female voice came through, "Is this Mr. Morris?"

"Who are you?" Christopher asked in return.

"I'm Josephine's friend, and we had a gathering tonight. Josephine had a bit too much to drink. Could you come and pick her up?" Tiana's voice was irresistibly charming.

Christopher hesitated for a moment. It was hard to imagine Josephine, who had always been so gentle and refined, getting drunk. He let out a hum, indicating his agreement.
