We were deep into the woods and night was setting in already. I knew Ella and the rest would be searching for us. They might be calling our names. We can't stay here and will need to return home. It was getting cold and she might catch a cold. I stood up and pulled my coat. I dropped it on the floor. "I will stay behind that tree over there. You can change and wear this coat. Call me when you're done"
I stood behind the tree waiting for her to call me. While I wait, I could not help but wondered what would have happened if I did not show up. Seeing her kill them, I could not help but wonder who they are and what she planned on doing after that. I have fear, she might do worst than that and I won't be there to stop her. "I should have marked her. That will help me track her". Though she is my mate, I can only get her scent from a short distance. If she's far away from me, I won't be able to get her scent. "Maybe I should complete the mating". I groaned. We are not on good terms, how would that be possible. There is no way I can convince her it's for her good.
"I'm done," she said and I peeped through the tree. Why didn't she just call my name?.
I walked closer to her. "The rest will be waiting for us. We should go". She nodded and walked in front of me. I walked behind her. Her hand was still bleeding. "Wait". She turned. "Your hand"
"I am fine" she answered and continue to walk
I stared at her. I could feel I have lost her already. She wasn't the charming mate I once had. She is now a ruthless and cold-hearted person. She doesn't care about anyone anymore. "I can hear voices," she said
I walked quickly to join her. Ella showed up. "Guys come over here, I have seen them". She ran towards us. "Olive, Nolan. I thought we wouldn't see you again". She hugged Olive. "Are you ok?"
Olive nodded. "I'm fine"
"Your hand. You're bleeding"
"I'm fine you don't have to worry"
Bella hugged her. "Don't you ever run off like that again"
"I won't, I promise"
Nigel patted me. "You did it man"
"I did not. She's ruthless than we thought" I whispered
"What did she do?"
"She killed some men right in front of me"
He chuckled. "She's a warrior remember"
"No. You don't understand. She..."
"Come on man. Maybe they tried to attack her. That would be self-defense"
I scoffed. Self-defense. He does not seem to understand what I am saying. The look in her eyes when she killed them did not show she did that for self-defense. He wasn't present when it happened. He can't understand. "You..."
"Let's go home. It's cold already"
I shrugged. Why does it feel like I am the only one who seems bothered about it?
**
When I told Ella and Bella about what had happened in the wood. They were surprised. They said she might have done that out of self-defense. Even when I tried to explain it wasn't for self-defense, they won't listen. I was sure the men were not going to hurt her. They look harmless to me. Why would she have killed them?. That thought lingered in my mind for many days. I couldn't take it off my mind. I was sure she killed them because she was angry.
I was sure she would do something similar to that soon. Even after I told her we are going to follow her plans and that I will tell Martin to get the information we need and tell her directly, And though she was happy and had stayed away from troubles I was still afraid she might lose it soon. When I asked her when our first attack will be and she said she is still working on it, I had a doubt. I put some guards around her to help me checkmate her. I also made sure they followed her everywhere she goes but with all this, I couldn't help but worry about her. Nigel told me to let her be. He said she is going to be fine and he is sure she can control her anger.
Every other person believed that except me. I couldn't get why I was so bothered about her. Maybe I was feeling insecure. Maybe I have fear I might lose her completely or rather I have lost her. It pained me to see her get along with every male in the pack. How she smiles at them but changes her countenance when it comes to me. She had always kept a straight face when she sees me. And when I saw her with Nathaniel, the one that called her Olive, at the club for all some years back who has a twin sister, Natasha, I was furious. Seeing how close she was to him, I couldn't help it. "You have lost her" my subconscious mind kept reminding me.
To take my mind off it, I decided to take a glass of alcohol. And from one, I moved to two. I drank more than I had wanted. What kept ringing in my head was that I have lost her.
"You should get what you want and not drink," my subconscious mind said.
"She is mine" I muttered and smiled as I drank the last content in my cup.
"She is mine. No one can take her away from me. She belongs to me". I stood up. Though I was a bit drunk, I was aware of my environment and everything happening. I staggered a bit and finally headed for her room.
I was ready to make her mine. Nobody has right over her except me. She's my luna. I knocked at her door and she opened up. "What are you doing here?" She asked
I smiled at her and pushed her slightly aside. I entered her room. "Nice room"
"Huh?" She asked. I turned to face her. And stared at her. "Why are you staring at me like that?.
I belched. "You're mine, right?"
She frowned. "Are you drunk?"
"Answer me. You belong to me right?"
"Did you drink?"
I ignored her question and moved closer to her. She stepped back and I followed her. She kept moving back until she got to the wall and I smiled. "Nowhere to go again?". I sniffed her. My fangs were growing and my wolf kept screaming mark her in my head.
"W-what are you doing?" She asked, stuttering
I placed my hand on her face and she shivered. "I can't let you hurt yourself anymore. Let's mate"
She scoffed. "Have you been drinking?"
I smiled. "I know I reek of alcohol but I meant my words. I am making you mine"
She pulled me away. "You should leave"
I pulled her back. "Not after I make you mine" I answered and finally dipped my fangs into her skin. My wolf jumped up in joy. She whined a lot.
"W-what a-are you doing" she stuttered vigorously. I pulled my fangs out and she stared at me. "Y-you shouldn't have done this". Tears dripped down her face.
That was the first time I am seeing her cry in a long time. "I-i'm sorry"
She pushed me away. "Get out!!!"
"I'm sorry"
"J-just get out!!. Don't let me ever see you again!!". I couldn't leave. I wanted her more than I had ever wanted anyone. And this was my only opportunity to get close to her. I moved closer to her while she moved backward. "Don't come closer. Don't you dare"
"Don't you want me?" I asked. "Don't you want me as much as I want you?"
"Leave, Nolan. Please leave". She wasn't yelling like before. I held her to the wall and stared at her. "P-please leave"
I held her face. "I-i can't. I can't leave you. I can't hold myself anymore. I want you". I sniffed her scent, it was intoxicating. "I want you. Push me away if you don't want me and I won't force you," I said and finally kissed her.

When I opened my eyes, it was morning already. I stared at Olive who was sleeping beside me so peacefully. I smiled, drinking alcohol wasn't a bad idea. It did not only help me to mark her but we also completed our mating process. She belongs to me now and no one can take her away. Good thing it is the mating season for the werewolves. It was easier for her to let me. I placed my hand on her face and she moved a bit. I quickly removed my hand. She was still sleeping. Watching her look so calm while sleeping made me smile. I stood up to make her breakfast before she woke up.
I picked my phone from the table and headed downstairs. I was in the kitchen, making bacon and omelet when my phone rang. It was Martin. "Hey, Mart"
"Boss. It's a good morning. You seem cheerful"
"I'm always cheerful. What's the news?"
"The packs from the northern hemisphere are here in the southern hemisphere to meet with Salvador. They are all in the wood of Walmart. They are in their vulnerable state. We can attack"
"Vulnerable state?"
"Yes, boss"
"If they are here to see Salvador, it will be difficult to get them"
"It is, boss. It's as simple as ABC"
"Are they not supposed to have a meeting with him?" I asked curious to know
"No. We set up the meeting after confirming that Salvador is not around"
"Who came up with this plan?"
"Your luna did"
I batted my lashes. "Olive?"
"Yes, she did"
"H-how did she come up with that plan?"
"Well, I don't know. But I think she knows someone working for Salvador who is loyal to her or her father"
I sighed. This girl is smarter than I thought. I've been trying to get the packs from the northern hemisphere to no avail and she did that in just a short time?. "When are we supposed to attack?"
"Now" someone answered from behind. I turned to see Olive staring at me.
"Is that Olive?" Martin asked
"I will call you back, Martin"
"Ok, boss"
I stared at her. "Olive..."
"I will tell the rest to get prepared. You should get the warriors ready" she said and left
I blinked. She isn't saying anything about what happened between us?. The love we made yesterday, doesn't mean anything to her? Or is she trying to pretend it never happened? "Nolan?" Nigel called.
"Yes"
"Are you not going with us?"
I sighed. "I am"

We got to the location where the packs from the northern hemisphere were and just like Martin had said, they were complete and waiting for Salvador's arrival. They were shocked to see us and knew immediately that they had been fooled. They had gotten the wrong information. They tried to put up a fight but they were surrounded already. And those that thought they could run away, were got by our men already waiting in ambush. It was easier than I had thought it would be.
We took them to the warehouse for further questioning. Our first attack on them wasn't like I expected. I had thought it would be bloody but it was so simple I could help but acknowledge that Olive is smart. Smarter than I thought. I wanted to know how she did it, but she avoided me. She was either speaking to Nigel, Ella, or Bella. Or she speaks to Martin and Arden.
I tried to shrug off the feeling and focus on what is most important which is to get Salvador. When everything is fine, we will need to talk. But right now, the success of our first attack should be celebrated. I can tell we are going to win the fight!!.
