chapter 22

Xavier woke up early in the morning as usual.

His face was in the valley of her neck and his arms holding her in a death grip but she didn't seem to mind.

He smiled and breathed in her rosy scent, humming in contentment.

Oh what he would not do to wake up like this every fucking day.

Very reluctantly he uncoiled his arms from around her and left the bed pecking her pouty lips.

He came back after working out to find her still sleeping like a baby. He shook his head and smiled.

"Coco baby wake up." he called from his closet. Little did he know that she wouldn't wake up just like that.

After calling out for her a few more times he went to take a bath thinking she must be awake by now, just too lazy to answer back.

But when he emerged from the bathroom he found her even more cozier in the bed.

She looked like a burrito, wrapped completely in the comforter.

A mischievous idea popped in his head and he went towards her.

He got on top of her and kissed all over her face continuosly without stopping, but the twist was, his wet hair dropped water droplets on her face whenever he moved.

Ailee groaned and frowned, trying to hide her face with her hands but he was quick enough to hold them in their place.

Lastly she opened her eyes and whined.

"I was sleeping" she said burying her face in his neck subtly rubbing the wetness of it on his bare chest.

"Hmm I know but it's time for you to wake up."

He flipped them both, now she laid directly on top of him and he played with her hair that looked no less than a bird's nest.

Her waist length silky hair was one of his most favourite features of her.

"I hate mornings" she murmured with great efforts yawning and falling back asleep.

He chuckled and continued stroking her hair and back, relishing the moment.

He didn't realised when he fell back asleep himself.

It was half past nine and Ailee stirred awake.

She looked around and found him still asleep peacefully under her. She grinned.

Now was the time for her revenge to wake him up in a brutal manner as he did.

She giggled and slowly sat up without disturbing him. After successfully removing his heavy arms from around her waist she got out of the bed.

She went and stood next to the vanity and ran, reaching the bed she jumped on his abdomen making him groan from the sudden force. A string of curses left his mouth but when he heard her laughters it all died down.

"Goodmorning baby" she said leaning down and pecking him.

"You're trying to make me forget about the little stunt of yours by calling me sweet names huh?"

He pulled her to him and started tickling her and she burst out laughing hysterically.

She spoke gibberish trying to get him to stop with tears running down her eyes and after 2 more minutes of torture he pulled back his hands.

"You didn't even let me breathe" she said panting but smiling nevertheless.

"Mhmmm" he said carrying her to the bathroom and putting her on the ground gently.

"Freshen up I'll whisk us some Breakfast."

She nodded and started brushing her teeth.

Coming out of the bathroom in the bathrobe she went straight to his closet to look for something to wear.

She wore his white sweatshirt with his boxers and went down to look for him.

There he was preparing scrambled eggs looking scrumptious himself.

"What do I have to do?" she asked standing beside him.

He turned around humming in approval at her outfit "sit and call your parents"

She gasped "Oh yes"

And ran upstairs again to fetch her phone.

She found it on charging, thanking him silently for being so thoughtful, she called her mother. She knew that they all must be having their breakfast now as everyone would be home because of the storm alert.

"Lily how are you honey?" came her mother's sweet voice.

"Should I come to pick you up?" it was Alex.

Ailee smiled "No Alex thank you but I am fine. I'll be there as soon as it gets over."

"Ok did you sleep well? have you had your breakfast?"

"Yes mama I slept well and I am going to have my breakfast right now"

"Ok we won't hold you any longer. Bye take care and keep us updated alright?"

" Yes ok. Bye love you"

She happily walked downstairs again only to find everything all set on the table.

A pout settled on her lips as she sat down next to him.

"I wanted to help as well"

"It is okay. You can make food for me when I come to your house hmm?" he said patting her head.

"I don't know when that will be but yes ofcourse I will."

They ate in silence and occasionally fed each other.

"I saw it with my own two eyes" said Alex.

They all were gathered in the living room after their breakfast hearing Alex fret over Ailee getting in a car with a man.

"Even if what you're saying is true then he must be his friend she was talking about." said Iris.

"I am worried about her. She doesn't know how men are like."

"We just talked to her she said she is fine and sounded happy Alex stop it" said Mila knowing all too well where she is.

" She is right. We'll confirm it once Lily comes home." their father dismissed them all.

Xavier was driving them to her house an hour after their breakfast and they also stopped by a bakery to get her some brownies because she wanted something chocolatey for her day to go smooth.

She and her chocolates. He chuckled at her silly excuses for wanting to eat so much of it.

He parked the car infront of her main gate and turned towards her. She hugged and thanked him then got out of the car.

But before she could enter he called her back leaning out of the window.

"Aren't you forgetting something ma'am?"

She looked back confusingly then went back to him.

He showed her the packet that contained her sweets and she smiled slapping her forehead.

"Good that you reminded me otherwise I would've made you turn back your car to come and deliver it." she said and bent down to take it from his lap.

But she was rewarded with a wet kiss on her cheek. She squealed and moved back not forgetting her bag this time.

"Zaiiiiii" he laughed and started his car.

"Hurry up now go inside"

She waved at him and went inside then he drove away to his office with her in his clothes on his mind.

"Ailee!" they all came rushing towards her as soon as she entered the living room and bombarded her with questions.

"Are you okay?"

"Hey where have you been?"

"Who dropped you?"

"What's in the bag?"

For a minute she felt scared of all the enquiries.

She then smiled, a little nervously but managed to make it believable.

"I am fine. I was at a friend's house. He dropped me and I've got some brownies here." she said in one breath holding up the paper bag.

"I told ya!" screamed Alex from behind her making Ailee jump in fright.

He mouthed a sorry to her and started speaking again animatedly.

"I told you all that she went with a man. See?"

They all looked at him and then at her still finding it a little hard to believe because they all know how she never mentions a friend or go out with a friend, heck she doesn't even go out with her family. Never has any of her friend visited her here either then who could this friend be. That too a whole grown up man.

"I-yes he-he's a good friend" she wanted to leave. Why did she not think about this before?

Sensing her discomfort, her mother asked her to leave and get some rest. Ailee looked at her mama thankfully and almost sprinted to her room.

Downstairs everyone decided not to bring up the topic and went back to their respective tasks. As long as she is healthy and happy they don't mind who her friend is.
