THE MEETING

IVAN POV

I watched as my wife adjusted her hair for the tenth time, her nervousness palpable in the air around us. Today she wanted to see the kids. We'd spent yesterday just basically having a little party of our own. I even had to cancel whatever royal meetings it was I had and spent it with my wife and her friends.

I could tell she needed it based on the way she hung up to every word that came out of our mouth. In the end Kiran and I had sat back and just watched the girls speak. They deserved to have that moment without interruption.

Finally when they left, it had just been the two of us. Just me and Arianne just the way I loved it. We didn't really do anything, we just spent the rest of the day holding each other, getting lost in each other's warmth.
