IVAN POV
The sound of war cries filled the battlefield. It was a chorus of rage, desperation and adrenaline. Steels clashed against each other, sparks flying from every strike. The ground trembled beneath our feet as warriors fell, their cries cut abruptly or dragged into a long haunting wail. I could feel the tremors vibrating through my boots, the earth alive with violence, soaked in blood.
It was no secret that we were losing the war. My heart ached with each fall of my men. The weight of their sacrifice dragging at my soul. Every loss of life felt like a part of me was being ripped away. My arms ached with each swing as I fought to protect myself and my men.
The army of the undead were relentless but so were we, I managed to push through but it wasn't enough. We resulted to slicing their heads off their shoulders, that way it was difficult for them to be able to regenerate.
