18 DANGEROUSLY CLOSE

I landed on top of Ivan causing us to topple on the bed together, me landing on top of him. I tried to punch him and hit him on the face but he dodged every of my attempt to punch his perfectly shaped face. When I swung at him again, he grabbed my hand and flipped us over, so he was on top of me this time.

"Wow, as much as I enjoy this comprising position we are in, why don't you save it for when we get to the moon cave, hmm?" Ivan asked waggling his eyebrows at me.

I glared at him as I struggled to get away from me. "Get off me!" I growled at him to which he merely arched a brow at me.

"Why darling? You were the one who launched yourself at me like a feral cat." Ivan countered before he assessed my body with a look on his face, "Not that I'm complaining though." He added with a smirk.

"Fucking bastard!" I cursed at him reaching up to swing at him with my hands which Ivan caught, pinning them above my head.

"No swear words little one." Ivan tsked at me and I growled at him. Gods, the man infuriates me so much, I'm starting to behave like an animal.

"Uh what's going on here?"

We both turned to find Aurora and the rest standing at the bedroom doorway. I looked at them then back at Ivan who still was smirking down at me, not caring that we had an audience. I hurriedly pushed him away from me and he allowed me to, because he fell down on the bed beside me with ease.

"My, my, my, someone is a little eager." Madame Cordelia said shooting I and Ivan a knowing look.

"What? No!"

"Then why did you rush to his room without being announced?" Yasmin threw at me and my eyes widened at that.

"That's because I needed answers!" I defended but hearing myself I knew I didn't sound that convincing.

"Well you could have just asked me, I'm here to train you after all." Madame Cordelia informed and I closed my eyes at that.

She was right, I could have asked her instead of rushing over to Ivan's room and now they had found me in that position with Ivan. I can only imagine how we must look like to when, oh gods! I muse completely mortified by my actions and from my peripheral vision I could see Kiran and Ivan chuckling at my behaviour. Can someone kill me please?

"Alright then! Let's give these two some space." Kiran said ushering the small crowd out of the room while I smiled at him in gratitude, "And Arianne, try not to kill my brother." He said and I smiled at him.

"We'll see." I said this looking at Ivan who smirked at him. Kiran and the rest finally left the room, shutting the door and finally giving us some privacy.

Ivan walked towards his cabinet and pulled out a bottle of wine. "Want a drink?" He asked me and I shot him a look, "Fine, more for me then." He said removing a single glass for himself.

"When were you going to tell me about the mating ritual?" I asked tiredly.

Ivan turned to look at me. "Are you saying you really had no idea what was going to happen between us after the wedding?"

"Um...Well when you put it like that..." I pouted at him while he chuckled, "But still, what's with the moon cave and something about the moon goddess watching over us?"

Ivan took a sip of his wine before answering. "That's the way it's been done for centuries. Be grateful you are not doing it in the woods like normal born werewolves. The moon cave was created for royals, to ensure their privacy." He shot me a wink when he finished.

I scoffed at him in disbelief. "Well I don't know about your traditions, but all I know is there's no way my first time is going to be in a rocky cave somewhere in the woods!" I told him firmly before the reality of what I had said crashed down on me. I looked up only to find Ivan looking at me with a smirk on his face.

"So you are a virgin." He stated not asking and I turned away from him trying to hide the blush that was no doubt creeping up my cheeks.

"Th..that's not the point of this." I stuttered still not looking at him.

"Then what is the point?"

I looked up only to find Ivan close to me, dangerously close to me as he stared down at me with his grey eyes which were turning dark with something I'm too afraid to mention.

How the hell did he get here so fast? Darn supernatural strength! I cursed as I moved backwards a little and I felt my knees hit the bedpost but I didn't fall down, I remained standing looking up at Ivan. I know I should look away but I don't want to.

"I asked you a question Arianne." Ivan reminded me softly, "What's the point?"

"I...I..." My throat was dry and I don't even know exactly how to answer the question. He was very distracting, especially with him being shirtless and his bronze perfectly sculpted abs was on display. "I can't have sex with you Ivan." I finally manged to get out.

Ivan merely arched a brow up at me. "You can't or won't?"

"I don't know." I admitted truthfully as I bit my lower lip in thoughts.

A low growl rumbled from Ivan's chest and I looked up to see Ivan looking at me with hooded eyes. "Don't do that Arianne." Ivan warned me in a low deep tone.

"Do what?" I asked blinking up at him.

Ivan smiled at me and I noticed he had inched closer towards me. "So innocent little one, so innocent you don't know what you do to me. You and your__" He bent down to sniff my neck, "Alluring scent." He whispered as he ran his nose down my neck and I shivered when he took in a deep breath.

"Ivan." I breathed and closed my eyes, unconsciously leaning closer towards him and exposing my neck to him. I let out a little whimper when I felt him gently bite my neck with his teeth. Not hard enough to puncture skin but just enough pressure to give me a mix of pleasure and pain. I gasped at the sensation and my hands found their way to his chest which felt hot against my palms.

"Fuck." Ivan cursed and suddenly moved away from me as if my touch burned him. My eyes snapped open only to find Ivan looking away from me. "You should leave."

"What?" I gasped looking at him in disbelief. I reached out for him, "Ivan I..."

"Unless you are okay with me taking you fast and hard against the bedpost of my bed, I suggest you get out of here!" Ivan cut me off finally looking at me and I let out a gasp when I saw his eyes were glowing bright red!

"Ivan your eyes...."

"Just leave Arianne! Now!" Ivan growled at me. I didn't need to be told twice, I grabbed the train of my gown and fled his bedroom.

It was only till I was outside the bedroom with the door closed behind me did I hear a loud crash followed by a loud growl. I turned to look at the door with wide eyes as I heard more crash coming from the other side of the room. The next thing I heard was the crash of glass and unable to stop myself, I pushed the door open only to meet a shattered window.

I hurriedly moved towards it and just outside the window was a huge black werewolf running into the woods.

"Ivan." I breathed staring after his wolf and wondering what the hell just happened.
