HIS CHOSEN MATE

"she was chosen because she was his right from the very beginning..." Once on a rare occasion, the night of a blue full moon, a girl is being taken from a household to serve the beasts who call themselves werewolves. The werwolves were the one who ruled the town and controlled everything. They looked human but buried under their human facade was a ruthless monster who seeks to destroy. Everyone tried to protect themselves but deep down they knew they were no match for the werewolves. Arianne was a little girl who was born different from other people in the town. She had long red hair and she was born with different coloured eyes. One green and one brown. No one knew exactly why she was born that way and it wasn't hereditary. Her mother also died during her child birth and because of that her father, Massimo distanced himself from her and chose to remarry instead. He married a woman called Christine who already had a child out of wedlock, Rissa. Together Rissa and Christine decided to make Arianne's life hell to which her father turned a blind eye to and because of that, it affected Arianne and she decided to withdraw herself from her family and the society. The day of the selection came and Rissa was selected to go and serve the werewolves. Scared for her life, Rissa decided to persuade her mother to convince Massimo to offer Arianne up for the selection. Ignoring her screaming pleas and tears, Massimo offered up Arianne to go and serve the werewolves. No one really knows what happens to the girls that are being selected and no one bothered to ask. Not knowing the fate that awaits her, Arianne decided to go and serve the werewolf who they call Ivan Giovanni, a alpha who is known for his ruthlessness. Can Arianne survive living among werewolves? BLOOD AND GREY EYES

I stared at the shredded silken bed sheets which I had tied into bundle of knots on the floor. This was my

plan to escape. I was going to use the shredded sheets to escape through the window. The plan had formed after Kiran and Aurora left the room. I knew I couldn't use the door, I was locked in anyway so the only way out was for me to use the window.

I stared at the silk sheets once again and my stepmother would have a melt down if she knew saw what I was using expensive silk to do. But they could afford it, or I'll just have a new batch delivered to them once I escaped from here. Without wasting another time I grabbed the end of the bed sheet and went to tie it on the dresser which I had moved to the far end of the room. When I was sure the knot was secured, I grabbed the other end and threw it down the window.

This place is like a tower, the ground was far away from my window and my makeshift rope was long but not long enough to reach the ground. It was still just a few inches away, so it will do. Satisfied with my work, I made a move to climb the window but my dress stopped me. With a frustrated sigh, I hiked my gown up and began shedding it till it was a short gown and my feet were finally free. I also removed my shoes and broke off their heels, so it would be easier for me to run. I was finally ready.

I climbed up the window and stood at the edge. It was fucking freezing up here! I muse as I stared at the gown covered in snow and it didn't help that I was also wearing a short gown and my legs were cold. I'd rather freeze to death than live here though, I thought to myself as I begin to let myself down the rope.

My breaths came out in puff of smoke as I let myself down the town. I could hear my hearts pounding in fear. What if Aurora comes back or worse Kiran? They would be very angry and I do not even want to think about what they would do to me once they found out. Shaking my head out of the negative thoughts, I continued to let myself down. I was halfway there when I suddenly began to drop to the ground faster! My weight must have pulled the dresser.

I let out a small scream as I continued to drop to the ground faster. I closed my eyes as I fell to my death but I suddenly stopped. I opened my eyes only to see that my legs were now dangling few inches from the ground. I breathed out a sigh of relief as I quickly let myself down to the ground.

Shivering, I looked around me for guards but I couldn't see any. Guess they didn't think a weak human girl like me could find a way out, I thought to myself with a smirk on my face. I looked up my window to see if anyone had come into my room but I couldn't find anyone. Ignoring the cold breeze against my exposed skin, I turned and fled into the woods.

I ran as fast as I could on the woods, not looking back to see who was in pursuit of me. The woods were unfamiliar and I kept tripping over rocks and tree branches but that didn't stop me. I ran till my lungs burned and the muscles in my legs began to ache in silent protests.

I was stumbling now, using the trees to support myself. I am sure I was now far away from the beasts territory this time. I couldn't find them behind me and I'm way too deep in the woods for them to find me. I continued stumbling into the woods and tried as much as possible to keep walking and not faint from the cold. It was really cold and I would kill for a blanket right now.

I was just about to give up and pass out when I heard distant voices. I quickly moved towards where I heard the voice and few feet away from me were a group of men who were standing over a fire roasting what looked like a deer. There were about three of them and I'm guessing they were hunters.

The fire called to me, it's warmth and so did the roasted meat which smelled delicious. I began to make way towards them, dragging my tired body towards the warmth. A man with shaved head and a red bushy beard was the first one to notice me.

"Oy! Who are ya?" The man asked with a strange accent and the others turned towards me.

"He...Help me" I croaked out before crashing into the snow.

Immediately, I felt hands scoop me up and I was brought close to the fire. A warm blanket was draped over and I greedily wrapped it around my body, taking deep steady breaths as I sat in front of the fire.

"Who are you?" A man with a hat on his head asked.

I sniffed as I brushed the hair away from my face, "Arianne."

"Well what's a pretty girl like ya doing in the woods?" The red bearded man with the accent asked, he was probably an English.

"I escaped, I was brought here against my will" I answered the question.

"So what are you?" A guy not much older than I am asked and I cocked a brow up at him, "You human or...?" He trailed off nodding his head at my hair.

Oh! I muse as I looked down at my hair which was covered in snow. "I'm human, not a beast" I assured them.

"And ya are all alone in the woods?" The red bearded man asked.

"Yes" I confirmed again and the men shared a look within themselves, a look that I do not like.

"Well boys, looks like we've got ourselves a bit of a feast!" The red bearded man said peering down to look at me with a wide smile on his face.

"What?" I gasped as I looked around but before I knew it, the blanket was yanked backwards and I was pushed against the cold ground by the two men who has snuck up on me.

"What...what are you doing?" I asked in fear as the red bearded man began to undo his clothing, oh no!

"No, no, no, please don't" I pleaded as I struggled against the men. But they were strong, more stronger than humans, I muse as one of them gripped my thighs enough to leave a bruise.

"Keep struggling for me pretty girl, it's no fun if they don't fight back" The man smirked down at me and it was then I noticed the two long canines in his teeth, Oh no! Werewolves!

I continued to thrash against the red bearded man whose pants was already undone now. I screamed as they tried to pry my legs apart but I didn't let them. I was still struggling when I noticed the fire they were using to roast their deer. Before they could pry my legs apart again, I reached for one of the burning woods and with a roar, I hit it on the red bearded man's face.

The man screamed as he rolled off me with a scream as his beard was on fire and he struggled to put it out. His friends rushed to help him while I scrambled off from the ground and grabbed another burning wood. They managed to put out the fire on the man's beard or what's left of it, since the fire almost consumed all of it.

"You are dead little girl." A man snarled at me but I brandished the fire wildly in front of me so as to keep them away.

I knew it was only a matter of time before they caught up to me. I needed to buy myself time! My eyes darted to the fire which was still roasting the meat and an idea suddenly came to me. I ran towards the fire place with speed and I used the stick to scatter the fire. I then used the stick to catapult the hot meat on them before I turned and fled.

I ran in zigzag patterns, that confuses them. I knew I wasn't gonna to be able to outrun them any longer and the cold was starting to freeze up my legs. There was no way I could make it out of here alive. I was still running when I was suddenly shoved into the cold snow, a heavy weight on my back. I felt hands turn me and I finally got a good look at my attacker. The man with a hat on his head.

"Fucking cunt!" The man spat at me before fisting his hand and giving me a punch on my face that sent my head cracking to the side. Black spots danced between the corner of my eyes from the impact of the man's hand and I felt a trickle down the corner of my mouth.

The coppery taste of blood filled my mouth. I turned to the side to spit out the blood but just as I did, the man was already grabbing me and this time around, he backhanded me so hard I felt dizzy.

"We wanted to have just a little bit of fun with you but you just had to be a bitch, didn't you?" The man asked as he began choking me and I could hear the rest of the men laugh, finding the whole thing funny.

The man still choked me and I could feel my vision go blurry as I clawed at the man's face, trying to throw him off me. I gagged as tears streamed down my face. I could feel the breath leave my body. I let my hands go limp beside me and that was when I felt it, a small stick beside me. Summoning what was left of my strength, I reached for the stick and jammed the pointy end in the man's right eye.

A loud shrill scream escaped the man on top of me but I wasn't done yet. I removed the stick and with force I jammed the stick in the man's neck, silencing his scream. Warm blood coated my face and my body. With a shaky breath, I pushed the man off me and stood up. Grabbing the stick, I pointed it at the rest of the men, breathing shakily.

The men were stunned as they stared at their companion who was choking in his own blood on the ground before they stared back at me.

"She...she killed Greg!" The boy who was my age said and I breathed through my nose as I pointed the stick at them.

The red bearded man raised his eyes up to look at me and I saw that they were glowing bright green. "Ya are so dead! Ya hear me? Dead!" He yelled spits flying from his mouth as he transformed into his beast form, same with the boy.

I could feel my heart thrum with fear. I maintained my stance as I stood in front of the two angry werewolves. I didn't know how I was going to fight them off. I know I wasn't going to survive this but I'll die trying. The werewolves begin to charge towards me and I braced myself. Before they could get near me, a very big black werewolf suddenly appeared in front of me, blocking off their attacks.

Startled, I moved backwards as the werewolves began to fight. Two werewolves against one wasn't a fair fight but the big black werewolf held his own. He was bigger, stronger and very fast. His movement were almost a blur and before I knew it, the big wolf already ripped the heads off the other two werewolves.

All around me blood stained the white snow and the metallic smell hung in the air. It didn't also help that I was drenched in one but that wasn't the least of my worries. What worries me was the big huge werewolf that had fixated it red glowing eyes on me. I panted as I stared at it, my stick pointed at it.

The werewolf then slowly began to shift itself into its human form. I could feel myself starting to get really dizzy. I strained to keep myself upright but my knees gave way and I fell down into the cold snow. The last thing I saw were two grey eyes peering down at me before everything went black.
