Chapter 12

LUCKY READ her new diet plan which made by Dr. Axel and asked Kayden to give it to her yesterday when he went to her apartment yesterday. Kayden really rinsed his mouth after tasting what she had cooked.

Lucky sighed. She really has no chance in cooking but no, she will learn too!

Lucky stopped reading when her cellphone rang. She looked at who had messaged her.

It's from Jayden.

'Come here to my apartment. I already cooked your breakfast. '

She smiled broadly and hurried out of her apartment and moved to the next one.

The door of Jayden's apartment was open so she went inside easily.

"Jayden?" She called.

"In the kitchen!" He loudly answered.

She took big steps to the kitchen and stared at Jayden arranging her breakfast at the table. He was wearing cargo shorts and a white t-shirt. She can see his tattoos but why is it he still look clean in her eyes?

She just shook her head and then stared at the man even more. He's really trying his hardest to take care of her.

He promised her last night that he would cook for her because she is not allowed to eat salty food, especially when she cooks it will always turn out to be salty. She thought it was just a joke.

But here he is, readying her breakfast.

A soft smile graze her lips. Sophia is a very lucky woman to be loved by Jayden Dawson. But Sophia is already dead and she's part of the reason why Jayden is broken. Why he is what he is now, a negative person.

She has nothing against the dead and she just wants to give up because that is what is best for her but she does not have the word surrender in her vocabulary even though that is what she thinks she should do. Her system does not accept that she will just give up without a fight because she is used to take any challenge in life.

She is sick, but she fights and does not give up, so she can do the same with her feelings.

She stared at Jayden's handsome face.

'I really like you a lot. I know that now. I will not give up on what I feel just because you love someone else. '

This is her first time feeling this way and she will not give it up.

'However broken you are, I'll make sure to fix you.'

And then maybe by that time, she will be enough for him.

But how is she gonna fix him? That's a challenge...a challenge that she's willing to accept, and win.

'I will not let you down.'

"You'd been staring at me for a couple minutes now." Jayden's baritone voice said that aroused her spirit. "Like what you see, baby?"

"It's Lucky." She corrected him, she then approached him and looked at the food served on the table. "Is that my breakfast?"

Instead of answering her question, he turned to face her. "Why are you staring at me?"

"I just find you attractive." She replied. "Then I wonder why do you look so clean even if you have a tattoo."

He nodded then pulled out a chair for her. "I've been handsome for a long time." There was pride in his voice and he winked at her. "But I'm not clean. These tattoos are reminders of every sin that I committed."

Instead of sitting down, she stared at the man. "Do you want a hug?" She asked softly.

The corner of his lips rose. "No, I want a good morning kiss."

"Would that make you feel better?"

"Yes."

She tip-toed, lean in and pucker her lips. "I can't reach your lips, could you please lean down a little bit ---"

He pressed his lips on her and she sighed when she felt that familiar feeling of contentment.

She was about to let go of the kiss when Jayden wrapped his arms around her waist then whispered to her lips. "I'm still not feeling better, I want more kisses." Then he pressed his lips on her again.

She let him kissed her until he broke their kiss.

"Feeling better?" She asked.

He smiled. "I need that every morning for positivity."

She narrowed her eyes on him. "I guess you just want a kiss every morning, you even made positivity a reason to just kiss me."

Jayden chuckled again. "You're so adorable."

She removed his arms that was hugging her. "I'm going to eat. I'm hungry."

"Eat." He said as he put rice and vegetables on her plate.

She looked up at him as she pointed her finger at what he was doing. "I can do that."

"I know, but I want to do it for you." He kissed her on the forehead. "Eat your breakfast, I'll just take a shower."

"You still smell good." She said as the man was walking away and was going to the bathroom.

"I want to smell even more better!" He replied in a loud voice because he was already far from her, "I need to smell more better because I'm gonna seduce you."

She ignored Jayden's last words because she was enjoying eating. The man is really good at cooking, so it is very delicious and easy to eat.

After she had her breakfast, Jayden was still not finished taking a shower so she washed her plate and looked for him.

Has he not finished taking a shower yet?

She knocked on the bathroom door but no one was there so she went to Jayden's room and peeked inside.

She was shocked to see that he was drying his hair while he was still half-naked.

Her lips parted when she saw his tattoo. It is really beautiful. And it complements his great body. Just like the ones she sees in the movies where men have beautiful bodies.

"What is it?"

She jumped at the sudden question.

She blinked.

'Did he see me peeking?'

"Ahm...I was just looking for you."

He confronted her. "Missed me already?"

"No. I just want to see you. Have any complains about that?"

The corner of his lip rose. "Who am I to complain?" He spread his arms. "Come here and give me a hug."

"I do not want to."

"Why?" His face wrinkled. "I smell better than before."

She shrugged. "Then?"

His shoulder dropped. "Choose. Come here and hug me or I'll come to you and kiss you. Which do you prefer?"

"The latter."

He smiled. "Ah, my baby really knows what's best for her."

She rolled her eyes at him. "It's your fault."

"How is it my fault?"

"Because you're good at kissing." She shrugged. "I mean, I have no experience in kissing but I think you're good at it. I'll know when I'll kiss someone else---"

"Don't even think about it." His face look dark as he approached her then cupped her face and his thumb caressed her lips. "These lips are mine, Lucky. I kissed it first, so I'm taking a claim on it."

She shook her head. "Its my lips and I say no, I can kiss whomever I want so I can compare your kiss to another---"

Suddenly he leaned her against the door jamb and kissed her lips passionately.

Lucky moaned softly at what the man had done but voluntarily hugged her arms around his still wet neck and let him kiss her.

When their lips parted, they both gasped but Jayden continued to kiss her face.

Its like he's kissing every part of her face and taking his claim, as he calls it.

"Jayden, you're still wet." Lucky said in a weak voice.

When he did not stop kissing her face, she took the towel that is hanging over his shoulder then she wiped his back dry.

She was distracted by his muscular body so she looked up and looked at his handsome face.

"You're dry now." She said when she finished drying his hair and neck. "Got get dressed."

But he didn't move, he just keeps on looking at her and asked her, "You haven't really have a boyfriend since then?"

She nodded. "No. I'm sick, so I really don't have that thought in mind."

"Crush?"

She smiled. "Celebrity."

"You don't like anyone right now?"

She stared at Jayden, wondering if she would keep it a secret or tell him the truth. But what's the use of hiding it anyway, she let him kiss her. That must've mean something to him by now.

"You, I like you." She answered honestly.

"How much do you like me?"

She shrugged. "I don't know yet. As of now, I like you, a lot. I still don't know how deep is my feelings for you."

"Won't you ask me if I like you too?"

She shook her head. "No. You'll tell me that even if I don't ask. But please make sure you really like me. For now, just let me like you."

Jayden nodded then kissed her on the forehead. "When I'm sure on how I feel about you. I'll tell you right away."

She nodded. "That's okay with me. Anyways," She smiled. "It's a weekend. Can we watch a movie in the cinema? I haven't watched there before because I was alone and I was sick back then so I don't have the time but now, can you accompany me? And I'm telling you now, I like to watch animated films so if you're not up to it, that's okay for me. "

"I can endure."

Her smile widened at his answer. "Yes! I'll just take a bath and then we'll leave."

She hurried out and did not wait for what he would have said. She immediately moved into her apartment and hurried to take a shower.

When she came out of the bathroom, she was surprised to see Jayden in the living room.

"How did you get in?" She asked as she dried her hair with a towel.

"You didn't lock the door." He said as looked at her body with an unfamiliar emotion in his eyes. Then he looked away and blows a loud breath. "Go get change."

"Okay." She chirped and went to her room to change.

She picked a simple lilac sleeveless dress. The dress length was up to her knee and she paired it with a wedge that was th

When she came out of the room, Jayden immediately turned to her and looked at her again.

"I'm taller now." She excitedly said.

He chuckled "Yeah, I won't have a hard time kissing you anymore."

She stuck her tongue at him. "All you can think about is kiss." She said as she twirled in front of him to show the entirety of what she was wearing. "Is my dress okay?"

"Yes. You're pretty."

"Yey!" She clapped her hands in glee. "Let's go?"

Jayden stood up from sitting on the sofa then approached her and looked at her lips.

"What's that on your lips?"

"Matte lipstick? It won't fade even if I drink and eat, as long as its not an oily food---"

"Is it kiss proof?."

She blinked at Jayden's question. "I'm not sure. Nothing was said about like that in the lipstick."

"Do you want us to try to find out?"

She pinched him on the side. "You just want an another kiss. Let's just go."

Jayden just laughed as he intertwined their fingers. "Yeah, let's go. I might do something you if we stayed here for long."

She was excited to leave her apartment and leave the building. She was surprised to see Kayden's car parked outside.

"I burrowed it." He told her when he noticed that she was looking at the car with confusion.

"Okay." She nodded before getting into the passenger seat then waiting for Jayden to get in the car as well.

When they were on the road, she could not contain her excitement when she saw the website showing the movie she wanted to watch.

She's excited to watch it with Jayden. She just hope it won't bore him.

JAYDEN LOOKS HESITANT to enter the cinema with her. He looks around and then looks at her.

She frowned at him. "Will you come with me or you want us to do something else?"

He took a deep breath then shook his head. "Nah, its okay, let's do it. Let's watch."

She grinned. "Yes!" She held his hand then pulled him towards the ticket counter. "Come on, come on."

Jayden let her pull him. And when they arrived at the Ticket Booth, he paid for their ticket.

"We still have one more hour before the show starts." Jayden said as he handed her the ticket. "Do you want to do something?"

"Eat?"

Laughing, he shook his head. "Nope, you're not eating. You're on a diet, remember? Maybe something bad will happen to you again, I don't want to lose you."

That put a smile on her face. "Will you miss me?"

He shook his head. "No, I'm going crazy if I loose you."

The smile on her lips disappeared as she stared at the man. "Jayden..."

"I already lost two important people in my life, and now you're becoming a vital part of my life, so when you leave me, I don't know what will happen to me anymore."

She smiled at him so that he would not be sad anymore. "Don't think like that. I won't be gone. I'll be okay and I'll live. Don't be pessimistic."

Jayden nodded. "Sorry if I'm full of negativity."

"Want some gummy bears?"

"Will you give me gummy bears again?"

She pouted. "Oh, right. You threw away my gummy bears and gummy worms. So no, I won't give you anymore."

He laughed as he put his arm around her. "I won't ask for gummy bears anymore. Where do you want to go to pass the time?"

"Department Store?"

"Okay."

She was happy because she thought he would not allow her to do what she wants.

When they entered the Department Store, she immediately pulled Jayden towards the footwear section.

Lucky tried every pair of sandals and shoes that she likes and Jayden just patiently wait for her to finish.

"What do you think?" She asked Jayden while wearing a wedge four inches high.

He shook his head. "I don't like it. It's too tall, you might get tripped."

She laughed at his reason but she still took it off and looked at the two sandals and a shoe she liked that she was planning to buy.

She can't help but pout. "I can't decide."

Jayden grabbed the three footwear she liked and then walked over to the Cashier. "Come on, baby, we will miss the movie."

She chased after him. "They're a bit expensive ---"

"I'll pay for it."

"I don't want to. I have money, but I just don't want to spend so much money."

He turned to her as he lined up at the Cashier. "That's why I'm gonna pay for it."

"I'll pay you back when I get my salary." She suggested.

"Whatever you say, baby."

She was just behind Jayden as he lined up and when he payed for the sandals, he handed the paper bag to her.

"Do you have anything else to buy?"

She looked at him. "Aren't you bored? My Grand-daddy hates shopping."

"I'm fine. Though I suggest we roam around after the movie."

"The movie!" Lucky's eyes widened and Jayden laughed at her reaction.

She was about to run when Jayden stopped her. "Don't run, your heart."

She put her hand on her chest and then bit her lip. "Let's go?"

He took the paper bag she was carrying and then carried it to the cinema. There were not many people especially in the seat they chose.

When they sat down, Jayden said that he would go buy popcorn and water for them.

Exactly when he left, her cellphone rang. She hurriedly answered the call.

"Hello?" She whispered.

"Why are you whispering?" It was Kayden.

"Movie Theater." She whispered again.

"Oh, is Jayden with you? I'm here in his apartment, it's locked."

"Yeah, I'm with him he's buying popcorn."

"Oh."

She frowned. "What with you and the oh."

"Nothing. I just know he doesn't like watching movie in the cinema.

"Why?"

"That was the last place he took Sophia before she died, so he didn't want to go."

"Oh, God, I didn't know." She said as she felt guilty. "I shouldn't asked him to go to the cinema with me."

"That's okay. He won't come with you if he really doesn't want to. After you're done in the cinema, ask him to watch the sunset. Oh, I have to go, duty calls, bye baby girl."

"Bye." She ended the call and silenced her phone.

Minutes later Jayden returned with the popcorn and water in his hand.

"I don't know what flavour you want so I just bought cheese and sour cream." He said then sat down next to her. "Here's your water, you might be thirsty later. "

It was dark inside but she could still see him because of the light coming from the wide TV Screen.

Lucky leaned in and place a kiss on the corner of Jayden lips. "Thanks for joining me here. It means a lot to me."

He just smiled and then focused his eyes on the TV Screen where the movie was starting.

Lucky was eating popcorn as she watched the movie with her full attention. The movie was fun, Jayden was laughing with her in some funny scenes.

Half way through the movie, she felt Jayden rested his head on her shoulder.

"Are you sleepy?" She asked in a whisper.

"Nah, just resting. Couldn't sleep last night." He whispered back.

"Why?"

"Thinking of you."

She stilted, her heart is beating so fast. "You're thinking of me? Why?"

"I had a nightmare again." He said as he intertwined their fingers. "I remember how you sang me back to sleep. That's why."

"Oh." She looked down at her shoulder and she saw Jayden watching the film and smiling at the scene. "Are you having fun?"

He met her gaze then he kissed her neck before answering. "Yes, I'm enjoying myself."

She turned her attention back to the TV Screen but she could not focus because Jayden kissed her on the neck again.

But she didn't stop him. She likes the sensation she's feeling. It's new and it feels good.

Her grip tightened on Jayden's hand as he traversed his tongue behind and inside her ear.

Because of what he is doing, she started to pant and her lips and throat went dry.

What he's doing to her, she knew what this is. She has watched many movies doing what Jayden is doing to her now. And she always wonder what it would feel like.

And this is what it feels like. Her body feels hot and there's a tingling sensation on her womanhood.

"Jayden..." Lucky doesn't know if it's a whisper or a moan. "Jayden..."

He bit her earlobe and whispered. "Just watch."

"H-How? When y-you're doing t-that?"

Lucky bit her lower lip as Jayden continued what he was doing.

His tongue keeps licking her neck and sometimes he would bit her, earning a soft groan form her. She even tilted her head a little to give him an access while her lips are parted and eyes closed.

Lucky thought she knew what pleasure means. Oh, boy, she's so wrong.

She lost her attention to what she was watching, she was focused on what Jayden was doing to her as he caress her on her waist.

Thankfully, Jayden finally stops and hugs her, calming her nerves. And he did nothing else to her until they finished watching.

When they got out of the cinema, only then did she notice that her femininity seemed to be wet.

Then she remembered what Jayden did to her inside the cinema.

'Is this why I'm wet?'

She bit her lower lip. 'Oh, God. Why is my body tingling and wanting it to happen again? '

She shook her head violently.

"You okay?"

She shook her head. "I'm not."

Amusement is in his eyes. "Are you thinking about what I did to you inside?"

Her cheek blushed. "How did you know."

Jayden let out a soft laugh. "My baby, you're so adorable. Come on." He intertwined their fingers. "Let's go shop."

She stopped him when she remembered what Kayden said to her earlier. "Actually I want to watch the sunset. Can you come with me?"

He stilted and all the emotion on his face disappeared.

'Does Sophia likes watching the sunset too?'

"Sorry." She said when he did not speak. "Let's just go home. I'm tired."

She doesn't want to push him.

"No." Jayden disagree before looking at her. "Let's go watch the sunset together."

She stared at Jayden in shock. "Are you sure? It looks like you didn't want to before."

He give her a tight smile. "I just, ahm, I know someone who likes watching the sunset and I was just taken aback by the memory. Sorry."

It's Sophia. "Are you sure it's okay?"

"Yeah, I don't mind." He stroked her cheek while staring at her. "Maybe its time to make new memories and bury the old ones."

"Are you sure you can bury those memories in oblivion?" She asked in a gentle voice.

Jayden nodded with certainty. "When you give me the reason to live, you also give me the reason to be happy. I'm having a hard time, yes, my past is still haunting me, but I can't keep looking back anymore. I might lose you. "

She squeezed his hand. "Jayden, forgetting your past is not easy, especially since you have been carrying it for a long time. Do not force yourself. You will forget about it in due time, and when that time comes, I'm still here , I'm still with you. "

She took a deep breath and smile. "Actually, I don't want to watch the sunset." She confessed. "It was Kayden who said that I should ask you to watch the sunset with me."

Jayden's gaze sharpened "That fucker. I think he wants to be stabbed again."

"Stop it." She scolded Jayden. "Kayden is nice. He's like a big brother I never had."

Jayden held her gaze. "What about me? What are we?"

"I like you." She smiled. "And also, there was not an us."

"Do you want me and you to be an us?"

She shook her head. "No, not now. Maybe soon, when you're sure you like me too."

"But I do like you."

"Then keep on liking me." She said while still smiling. "Just bottle up your feelings for me, and when you think you have strong feelings for me now, that will be the time when you and I are gonna be an us."

"I've been fighting for my whole life since I was a kid, so I know my worth as a person and as a woman. And the fact that you like me now, that's not enough, it's not enough for me yet so let's just stay what we are now temporarily. I like you a lot, and you like me, sort of, and we'll leave it at that. "

Jayden stared at her as he smiled as if he was pleased with what he saw. "I like how positive you are. I like how much you love yourself."

"Who else would love yourself so much but yourself?"

He lost his smile. "I don't love myself. I couldn't..."

"I'll teach you how and maybe after that, you'll be able to love an another person."

"My baby is wise."

She laughed. "Grand-mommy taught me well, Jaydee."

Jayden winced. "You're acting like my twin. How about instead of calling me Jaydee, call me baby. It rhymes and I like it more than my name."

Lucky shook her head. "Nope, you'll be my Jaydee---"

"Make me happy so call me baby." He pouted adorably at her. "Please? Call me baby?"

She smiled. "Jaydee. I like Jaydee more."

"Baby."

"Jaydee." She argued.

"It's baby."

"Jaydee-baby?" She can't help but winced. "That sounds bad."

Jayden bit his lower lip. "Sound good to me."

"Okay, if that's what you want." She said with a nonchalant shrugged. "Come on, Jaydee-baby, let's go watch the sunset."

He let her pulled him through the exit. "I thought you didn't want to?"

She looked at him meaningfully. "How can you forget if I don't help you?"

"That's my baby."

"It's Lucky" She corrected him.

Jayden just laughed and he even pulled her out of the Mall, towards the parking lot.

While driving, his smile won't leave his lips whenever they looked at each other.

And when they reach the beach he hugged her from behind and whispered over her ear. "Would you like to make happy memories with me?"

She nodded then looked over to him. "What do you want to do?"

Suddenly he picked her up and carried her to the sea.

"Jayden! Jayden!" There was a mix of scream and laughter in hear voice especially when the both of them are wet.

Jayden just laughed at her so she just rolled her eyes at him and swam away from him.

"Is there no one here? I haven't seen anyone come here yet" She asked as they were in the deep part of the sea.

Jayden shook his head. "Its a private property." He answered that make her eyes widened in shock.

"Are you crazy?! We're trespassing! Let's get out of here."

"Relax, baby." He hugged her. "This is my friends property so he owns the place."

Because of what he said, he let out a deep breath of relief and started to swam again.

She's happy and she felt contented. She is now thankful that she did not give up before, that she still fought to survive. Because otherwise, she will not experience being happy just doing simple things with Jayden.

Life is really beautiful, that's why everyone should take care of it, because it's precious.
