Chapter 11

Laxus pov

*flashback* - 6 months ago -

After I received this note from someone anonymous about my parentage, so without telling Lucy about it which was not a smart idea on my part. I decided to embark on my journey on this quest. I went out into the woods to seek the person who supposedly trained them as the letter says. Maybe there is something that I don't even know about myself. I told someone where to find me just not her. I'm impulsive and stupid but not that much of an idiot to forget all of the warnings I've been told. Besides now I have more to lose than I ever did before.....Lucy, which is causing me to think a little more about things. I'm not meaning this to sound sappy and all but this is how I truly feel.

I've been getting hints every so often from them the most recent one being of my moms favorite jacket that she wore all the time. It was the only one that I ever recalled her even owning. Only ever when she got really mad it would help to calm her down quite a bit actually. That's one of the few things I actually remember about my mother Lexi Dreyar. There is this foggy mist all around me as I'm walking through the forest. I come across this clearing after feeling like I've been walking for hours.

There are big rocks to help you cross over to the other side of the river. Once I've managed to shuffle slowly but surely to the other side I step down. I fully take in my surroundings going in a full circle slowly. There is a single tree that shades most of the house from an angle. The flowers are very radiant and popping in all different variates. A woman is hunched over the flowers carefully watering each and every plant. As she stands up I notice that she's an older woman. Mostly because of the smile that she's giving me.

It's still a very pleasant one just a bit weathered over the years don't get me wrong or anything. A couple of her teeth are missing in the front but that's ok. that makes her seem so much more real and less self centered than most people. "My boy" she says in a gravelly kind of voice gripping my arm and staring into my eyes. That's all she says as she tries to lead me into her cottage. If the boys back home knew about this it would be pathetic to say the least. They would be going on for days laughing about it, I would see no end to it. That's part of the reason I'm glad that I did this alone. Even though that might not even be what this is about.

I can't be sure based on the clues that I've received but I'm starting to piece some of it together. I know that I probably have some holes in my theory but it's a pretty solid one. The house that she leads me into is not what I expected at all from her. I'm met with this wonderful aroma which smells like a type of stew. She confirms my suspicions on what the food was when she dishes it up to both of us in two bowls. The older woman then proceeds to cut up some homemade looking white bread. There are generous portion sizes on both of the plates just for us. I just realized that I don't even know her name yet.

I walked right into a strangers house who I don't even know like at all. I'm so stupid this is how I'm going to die. Like the girl in the horror movie who goes in the same room as the killer. Knowing that he is the killer who killed all her friends, alone without telling anyone. She told me to sit down with my legs crossed on the floor. I'm on a quilt thing that looks homemade. I close my eyes and try to do what she wants me to do which is to be present. Also to acknowledge and know my own emotions. Which is an important step Edith told me earlier. That's what I found out recently her name was. At least I know something about her, that's more than I knew before. That's a little more comforting considering she knows my full name and all without me saying anything.

I call Lucy but she doesn't answer so I leave a message. "hey baby it's me, I'm sorry but my trip will be extended like a couple of weeks. I have to do more than I originally anticipated. I will try to be back as soon as I can. Ok see you soon, bye" I click the end call button."Aw that would be sweet if we didn't have to work to do. come on lighting boy" she says waving her cane she snaps her fingers with the other hand. "So what do you know about your family history?" Edith questions me. I rack my brain searching for information on them. After a few minutes I answer "not much ma'am." She nods her head before replying back with well then let's start from the very beginning.

What does she mean by that?

Who is she?

How does she know what she does know?

Where are they?

When did she learn what she did?

Why did Laxus call Lucy?

So many questions at this point in the story. These aren't even half of them up there that you will probably get right now while reading this. Thank you so much for all the support out there! I have had people ask me for advice on their books which is a huge honor. Also all of the encouraging comments that keep me going. I'm so sorry for my absence that will be explained also in next chapter, like maybe some of the questions you will have.
