Chapter 39 Worry line

She waved at me as I exited our room and I smiled widely at her.

"Be sweet." She said and I nodded.

I entered the elevator and we waved one more time before the elevator door closed. I spent all the moment there, trying to figure out how to pass people without gaining their attention.

Of course, everyone loved attention but not when it was too much. Especially when I know how tight my dress is and how I looked.

'Ooh...Here it comes' I inhaled as the elevator door opened.

I took my steps slowly with prudence to prevent attention but it was a waste because my action gained more attention. They all looked at me as if I was crazy and I understood them because I was walking like a robber trying to escape from people while doing it slowly when I had no reason to do that!

Realising their gaze, I pulled off my heels.....I knew I needed to form something in order not to look stupid: Of course, something that made sense.

"Geez...I think these are spoilt" I said as I held them. "I was trying to walk with prudence to save them but it's a waste!"I shooked my head looking sad as if it was true.

"Why are you guys staring? Would you love to help?" I asked but all of them returned to what they were doing earlier.

Right there I almost chortled because they fell for my silly drama and the funniest thing was the way they looked away.

'Geez...these people are drolly' I couldn't help and I finally laughed but it was a quick one.

Since I didn't want to have to form another drama, I didn't stay that long there, I quickly left and when I was far from them, I put on my heels back.

Immediately I got out of the building, I saw Julian resting on his car with a folded arm - his usual style.

After breaking our distance, he finally realised my presence. He stared at my face for a long time before his eyes went lower. He kept gazing at me and I felt kind of uncomfortable; I was uncomfortable.

"Julian.." I called his name to divert his gaze and my plan worked as his gaze finally left my face and my body to my eyes.

"Sorry if I inconvenienced you, .....it's just that you look so pretty," He said as he flashed a bright smile and I felt my face blaze at his words.

'Maybe this wasn't a bad idea after all; if Julian likes it then it I Iike It' I smiled widely.

"Come on" He held out his hand and I grabbed them meekly. Then he led me closer to the car and when we were nearer he opened the door for me and I made my way in. I sat beside the driver's seat.

As he drove, I kept wondering where we were going. I just felt kind of anxious; to me, the suspense was too much. My legs were aching to step on wherever it was and whenever he saw my thrilled face, he would just smile as if he was deriving pleasure from seeing me like that.

"Julian...hmmm....where are we going to?" I finally gathered the courage to ask him but he stopped and parked.

He flashed a very charming smile as he looked at me "I want you to meet my sister" he began and my eyes narrowed.

"Your sister? Why?"

"I just want to introduce the both of you to each other. You see, my sister is the most important person I have in my life, she means a lot to me. She is all that I have got and I want her to meet you." He said as he caressed my face and I felt my heart thump.

The look in his eyes showed that he had made up his mind but I couldn't still take it...

"But Julian isn't our relationship too early for that; As I mean we just started dating yesterday," I told him but that his look didn't fade as he continued.

"I know. Uh, it's kind of but I don't know if I might get another chance and I want her to meet you. She doesn't base in our country, she bases here." He told me and with that, I didn't argue instead I nodded for him to go ahead.

I didn't want anything to ruin our first time going out as a couple and now that I thought of it, it isn't a bad idea to meet his sister - it will be nice seeing her.

He started the car and I sighed, telling my racing heart that it was fine, everything was going to be alright but that didn't help. I still couldn't stop thinking about the fact that she might not like me most especially because of the way I was dressed and that since she means a lot to Julian, he might leave me to satisfy her.

'It's okay Jessy. Julian would never do that to you, he told you that he likes you, you know that he likes you. So stop thinking about it I told myself to get those thoughts away because just by thinking about it I felt my heart shiver - the thought was unbearable! I couldn't imagine it and I believed that it would never happen.

Halting my thoughts Julian's car stopped in front of a big building.

He looked at me as his eyes sparkled with excitement.

"We are here"
