DxD 2 – Gunnar Klinger

Gunnar Klinger, he is a young boy that is no older than six years old. He is half Japanese and half German, with his jet-black long hair, and deadly pale white skin, so white, that anyone will think this boy is in fact sick, and about to die.

However, the boy isn't sick, but completely healthy, even if his snow-white skin, make others think otherwise. 

The little boy, Gunnar soon opened his oceanic blue eyes, as he blankly looked at the ceiling above him. That is both familiar and yet unfamiliar to the young boy, who also oddly very handsome for his age, while he still lay down in his bed. It was only moments later, did Gunnar realised what's going on.

'That's right… I remember now… I was in the Abyss… then that gigantic eyeball… that abyssal ROB… does this mean, I am in the world of DxD, aren't I?' Gunnar thought to himself, as his current life memories and, his past life memories, along with all the memories when he was inside the Abyss, floated inside his mind.

But that isn't all, the young boy felt. Besides his memories, the young boy, could feel something strange about himself.

At first, he didn't understand what it was. What this strange entity or source of energy he could felt inside his heart is. Then he remembered the words of that gigantic eyeball. That his soul became tainted by staying in the Abyss for over 4,000 years. It also the reason why that ROB cannot give Gunnar his wishes.

'Instincts… that what it said, right? I will understand how to use this power… through my instincts. But what does that mean…?' Gunnar askes himself, all honestly, he wanted to use this power right away. However, he still has no clue how to use this power that dwelled inside his soul, or maybe the roots of his soul itself.

Gunnar sighed, as he looked at the sun rising in the far distance, knowing it will be time for him, and the others to wake up sooner or later. And turned his sea blue eyes from the sun to the two other two kids in this small room, with him.

Upon seeing those two kids, that also the same age as himself. A smile floated on Gunnar's lips while he looked at them.

Even if he has his past memories returned to him. Gunnar Klinger's feelings towards these two kids, that are sleeping near him, wouldn't change. They are the closest thing Gunnar has in this world as a family.

At this moment, Gunnar is within a city called Bonn, which is located in Germany itself.

According to Gunnar's memories, before he reawakened his past life memories. Gunnar lost his parents two years ago in a car crash.

And what Gunnar knew about his family, on his mother side, who is German, lost all of her family, leaving only herself, Gunnar's father, and Gunnar himself, as her only family she has, before she died alongside with her husband, Gunnar's father two years ago.

While on the other hand, Gunnar's father, who happened to be Japanese, never spoken much about his family. Meaning Gunnar has no clue if he has any family on his father's side.

Because one side, has no one to take Gunnar in, while the other side is unknown. Gunnar Kling became an orphan. Which is why Gunnar is in this orphanage, that located on the outskirts of Bonn itself.

Recalling all this about himself. Gunnar who still looking at the kids, thought about them. Both of the girl and boy looked very much like the same person. But it cannot be helped, why these two like very much like each other.

It is not because they are brother and sister, but because these two are in fact twins themselves. And Gunnar also knew these two kids, also don't have a last name, due to being abandoned in this orphanage from the moment they were nameless newborns.

Each of them, have the same lime green hair, and when their eyes opened from their sleeping state, they will show their dark royal purple eyes.

But Gunnar knew, while right this moment, only thing that able to tell them apart, is their length of hair, one has long hair, the girl, and the other has nearly shoulder length, the boy. Not to mention, their personalities as well, are completely different to each other, along with their voices also slightly different as well.

However, the moment these two go under puberty themselves, will be the moment, when their charms as a man and as a woman will develop, that will make it many times easier then now, to tell the twins apart.

"Gunnar… morning…" The first one to wake up among the twins, is the timid looking young boy, whose name is Zell.

"Noisy… is it morning…? I hate mornings…" A cute voice sudden sounded, with a hint of laziness and tiredness, was the girl twin, whose name is Zella.

Seeing the twins waking up, Gunnar smiled and went towards Zell, and Zella who fighting to stay awake: "Morning guys, did I wake you two up?"

"N-No, it not like that brother Gunnar… no you didn't…" Zell went with a faint smile.

"Gunnar…? Zell…? It is breakfast time…?" Zella askes with a sleepy expression, before her dark royal purple eyes, looked at the sun about to raise from the distance, and frown seeing this.

"Why is everyone awake… it still too early…" Zella went, not understanding why her twin brother, and Gunnar still awake at this time of the day.

"Hahaha, you right, Zella. I was going to the bathroom and see if Miss Wirth needs any help preparing breakfast since I am up. How about going back to sleep Zella, Miss Wirth will wake up everyone, when it's time to wake up." Gunnar went and smiled, as Zella yawned and nodded her head very cutely.

"Will do… very tried… too early…" Zella went, as she went back to sleep in her bed. While Zell show a bitter smile, knowing his sister personality the best.

"Sorry brother Gunnar…" Zell went lowing his head.

"Don't be, you are going back to sleep, or not?" Gunnar asked.

"No… I will get dressed… before I see if Miss Wirth and see if Miss Wirth needs help." Zell said.

"I see, okay I am off to the toilet, I be right back right back." Gunnar went, as he walked out of their bedroom, without noticing that Zell began to stared at Gunnar with a suspicious look, when he felt something off about Gunnar himself.

'Did brother Gunnar always speak like this…? Why does he feel older… compared before? Or maybe I am overthinking things…?' Zell thought, as he recalled Zack's current actions, the moment they woke up.

Even if Zell is the same age as Zella and Gunnar, six years old. He also very keen when it comes to even the smallest details, not to mention, he also smarts for his age. But even if he smart, and have keen eyes, the boy also very timid and shy around strangers.

Zell soon let go of his suspicions. And got dressed, while not worrying of waking up his sister, who happened to be a heavy sleeper, compared to Zell who is a light sleeper himself.

It is strange, if one think about it. Zella is a heavy sleeper, who has problems waking up in mornings. While in the middle of the day, as the tomboy she is, she always full of energy.

However, when she sleeps, she sleeps like no other. Which is why Zella is not a morning person. Even if all children in the orphanage had to wake up at 7am. Which is nearly 2 hours away. Zell or Gunnar properly had to dragged her out of bed again. Which is why he cannot help but to sigh, seeing either himself, or Gunnar has to wake her up within the next few hours.

Meanwhile, unaware that Zell almost became wary of him. Gunnar walked out of their room. And stood in the middle of the hallway, looking fairly confused.

'Strange… why don't I need the toilet…?' Gunnar thought, moments ago, he felt he needed to go. However, all of the sudden the needs to go to the toilet suddenly vanished, like he never needed it. In fact, for some reason, he felt good slightly, which he doesn't understand why for.

"Well… doesn't it matter if it is a false alarm… but should I head back, or should I try few things out?" But seeing he doesn't need to go, Gunnar honestly wanted to test how to use the power, that dwelled inside him.

After all, even if Gunnar has both his current and past life memories inside him. He still a geek/otaku to his core. Which nerd, will resist themselves, when they knew they have some kind of power dwelling inside them?

And Gunnar is no different.

However, having fun with the power within him, is not the only reason why Gunnar wanted to try it out. His other reason is to actually understand his powers, so he could have better control over them.

After all, the last thing Gunnar wanted, is to harm the people close to him. If his powers were to go out of control. But at the same time, he also needs to know what his power is.

He has no clue what this thing that located in his heart is. He only knew this power or powers, related to that abyssal gigantic eyeball ROB's, or so he told him so.

'Should I go into the forest?' Gunnar thought, there is a forest right next to the orphanage. Normally the caretaker, Miss Wirth, will not allow any children inside the forest, unless she accompany them. However, Gunnar needed to go alone if he were to test out his powers.

There are many reasons why he must be alone. Miss Wirth, and the others, are normal humans, his power is unknown. It could bring danger to them if something unexpected were to happened.

After all, this is the world where Gods and other such beings still exist and walked among men. It is a world that has countless hidden dangers almost everywhere.

Not only that, his otaku side, wants to know what other anime characters are in this parallel world of DxD. And Gunnar knew, if he wanted to be somehow or somewhat involved with DxD, there no way he cannot remain in Germany.

That is because, almost all events in DxD are based in a town, called Kuoh, that should be located somewhere in Japan.

Not to mention, Gunnar has no clue if the canon, the storyline of DxD already began or not. All Gunnar knows, it could already happen, halfway through the canon itself. Or the outcome he wishes the most, still years away before the official start of DxD will begin.

All honestly, if Gunnar wasn't an anime geek, who has his otaku soul within him. Powers or not, Gunnar might live a life of a hidden one, and remain in either Bonn or Germany for the rest of his life.

But he cannot, his otaku soul refuses to remain away from all the action. With a strong desire to see what the parallel world of DxD has to offer.

And even if he wasn't an otaku/nerd himself. Gunnar, he has the knowledge of the anime of DxD, but nothing on the original source, the light novel of DxD. Knew how dangerous this world is. After all, this is the world, where countless beings in the Supernatural that look down upon human beings, or the weak themselves.

Which is why Gunnar needs to become stronger, he least needed to become Ultimate-Class before the canon officially begins. After all, most powerhouses in DxD are at Ultimate-Class. But he has no clue how far he could go with his powers. He needs to train and develop the powers dwelling within him. And hope he could become Ultimate-Class before the canon.

'First to understand this power of mine… than find out if the DxD already began or not. Lucky for me…. Since this place is on the outskirts of Bonn, there should be no beings from the Supernatural around, or so I hope. And not to mention, I could always train in the forest, and used the orphanage as a cover, so no Devil or Angel will spot me… actually which Factions are in Germany?'

Gunnar thought that. he doesn't know much about DxD like a normal DxD fan will do, due to only following the anime. He regretted not reading the light novel before dying. If he did, he will know what might lies in Germany.

After all, there are many different kinds of beings in the Supernatural. From Angels, Fallen Angels, Devils, and even Dragons. To even spiritual beings, like Yokai, ghosts, and even Gods. And each faction is based in a different country, or region of that country.

Only factions like the Church, Grigori, and the Underworld aka the Devils. Are based all over the world. But other factions are rooted in their countries. And it is hard to know what kind of supernatural beings, lies in Germany, or which ones of the Three Great Factions are in Germany.

'If I am not wrong… Vampires are in France. There also Magicians… but which country they have factions in… is there a Magician based faction in Germany… sounds right… I need to know what lies in Germany, and the other parts of the world.' Gunnar thought.

His end goal is Japan, but he still has no clue how to arrive there. However, it not important at the moment. The most important thing that Gunnar needs, is to become stronger, to know his surroundings. And who are his enemy, and who is not.

"I need to become stronger… stronger I am in this world, that respect the strong… safer I am… time to go to the forest than." Gunnar said out loud, not worrying anyone hearing him, since he knew no one will be awake besides Zell. Since most kids in this orphanage don't wake up after 5am, like Gunnar did today, due to having his memories and powers unsealed.
