34 Ch. 34 A Bite of the Night Life

Reports on the overall situation everywhere were interesting.

Zekram was starting the to prepare for what would eventually be the Rating Games while Sirzechs and the crew were doing the same. My estimates give it about 5 years before they start. Enough devils have built their peerages and began showing them off to validate this.

The gains from the hostile takeover of everything from the Forneus and Gamigin Houses was worth it. I gained many experienced fishermen and sailors from Forneus and added many skilled scribes and orators which will help in the education sectors from Gamigin. Alongside a good amount of manpower and fresh blood for my military, and the opportunity to expand more. Those houses would either be helped recover by Zekram's faction or cut loose.

I heard Enkidu visited Citadel, which was an interesting report since I thought he would be focusing on the nature side of things.

And the personal report of Yasa told me about rather stunning progress and her newfound strength was the best. She and Tamamo will likely put a pause on uniting the Youkai until they get used to their new level of strength, but at this rate I predict that they will have the entirety of Japan's youkai under their banner in less than 2 years. That means I will be able to start a few more plans with her help in about 4 years if I help her stabilize her position as the loving husband I am. No point in not using my Longinus to help my mate after all.

Reports of our operations in the human world are optimistic as well.

That Jubstacheit von Einzbern has succeeded in transferring to a new body, but chose to keep the appearance of an older man. He has now begun to understand the advanced equipment Da Vinci and I built for the project while starting preliminary tests using his family's tried ideas to measure the changes. Cautious but intelligent decision to gauge the improved results.

It would seem Mana has encountered an endangered colony of Lamia during one of her contracts in the middle east. I have given her permission to help them immigrate to the Underworld. They some prophetic abilities, are well versed in herbal poisons and medicine while being rather seductive when they desire, thus can find many ways of contributing. The only downside is their need for males, but thanks to my wider racial pool it shouldn't be much of a problem. Hell, I'm sure that if they open a Lamia exclusive brothel to pick a mate a lot of those masochists will line up to experience a snake's mating coil.

Jeanne on the other hand has begun traveling through Europe as she goes on the lookout for abused and manipulated gifted individuals. For now she had a place built for the people she would rescue, a village mostly isolated from humans where some people we had contracts with over the last century would inhabit and maintain. She even had a talk with Gabriel to make sure everything would be ok and received a very supportive answer as the pure Seraph obviously did not approve of people suffering within the church. Gabriel went so far as saying she would see if she could help hide the place so no one would bother those Jeanne would help.

But my most eye catching report was that the Vampire Civil war seemed to be taking shape.

"Why are you caring so much about the Vampires? They have never been much of a threat to devils and are contained by the forces present in the Human world." Scáthach asked as she noticed me taking interest in the report.

"Two reasons: I want to see if I can poach some people and if there are any unique individuals to recruit for more important places." I answered as I put down the report.

"So you plan to go personally?" She asked for clarification.

"Yes. I can cover my tracks better than anyone so it won't cause any kind of backlash between devils and vampires. I don't plan on interfering in their matters unless necessary, even towards beings such as them." I answered with confidence.

"Then I recommend you steel yourself. Although you can be pragmatic and ruthless when necessary, you have the heart of a hero, thus you might see things there which could enrage you. Vampires treat humans as preys and livestock. It is cruel and disgusting, but that is how they have survived for millennia.

If you wish to not interfere or at least not commit genocide, prepare yourself well." She warned me gently as she placed her hand on my cheek and looked into my eyes.

Her usually calm eyes were instead filled with worry and care.

"I know. But I feel like this is important." I responded, thankful for her care and a bit surprised at the expression of emotions.

"Why haven't you looked into your own future?" She curiously asked, not mentioning her own foresight due to it being incredibly difficult for her to see in the future of beings stronger than herself.

Even in our fights she has trouble going beyond a few minutes, while she could see the entire life of a Demi-god without any issues. So she herself knows trying to look hours and days into my future is a waste of effort.

"Too many possibilities at the moment. So many results. I could end up seeing only what I predicted and return, or become the ruler of both factions as I subjugate the vampires completely. Even anything i between. But this is why I believe that this might be an important moment for myself, too many choices and possibilities in this one event." I answered honestly.

It's not like I don't regularly try to look at my own future for possible threats to myself or my close ones, attempt to see important moments, or even just try to avoid embarrassments, but everything is always in motion until I walk into the moment and then it becomes my past as the possibilities ahead become the future possible from now on. The decisions made indicate which 'timeline' we are on.

So in moments like this one, when an incredible number of possible results exist from my choice, I determine that choice and my subsequent future as important. It is impossible to know if the result is positive or negative until I've chosen my path, but it will be important nonetheless.

With a case like Ciri's arrival however, it is basically what happens when an incredibly small statistical probability is ignored because the possibility of it happening is deemed impossible. Hence why I called it fate. It's essentially like how I ignore the minute possibility of the entire universe I currently exist in ending suddenly. The possibility is always there, but I just don't acknowledge it on the day-to-day.

Speaking of Ciri,

"I think I'll bring our student along to see some the dark side of our world." I told my queen, "She has been in a bit of fantasy world since coming here and a dose of reality should help her."

"Are you sure? She might not be ready for something like this. Even you might truly be ready for it. Seeing things with your own eyes and through your foresight are two very different things." She seriously asked as she did care for her students.

"Her world is a cruel one, with death at any corner thanks to monsters and magic encroaching on humanity. She picked the path of her chosen father, one which slays the beasts preying on humanity and hiding in the dark, while helping maintain a balance. This will be an important step. Just like the first kill is to any warrior." I answered her with determination.

As much as I would want to protect my girls and my new little protege, each must go through the cruelties of the world to not fall prey to it and to learn true empathy.

Mana grew up in the harshness of the world before I took her in, Jeanne knows the cruel hearts hidden even the supposedly holiest figures, Da Vinci lived her whole life with her fate in the hands of others as she scrambled upwards, Musashi lived the life of a warrior and saw the struggles of the people while having to hide herself from a world which would reject her, and Scáthach endured some of the worst beings in history as she stood as the warden of the damned and lived her life as a ruler and warrior.

And now that they are with me, they go out into the world to seek out the hopeless and either help them rise up for future benefits or to bring them down here. They have seen much of the darkness this world can give.

Although Ciri had experienced struggles, this would be different as she experiences the cruelty of those she will chose to hunt in the future and the possibility of not all the supposed monsters being the beings she was taught they were. She might even see that the monsters are sometimes the victims, an important lesson for any true Witcher.

I mean, beings like Gasper aren't exactly threats. He was just unlucky to be born with a power he couldn't control. But nevertheless, he, the monster, suffered at the hands of both his kin and humanity, being the one who needed saving.

Similar things happen in Ciri's world as humanity encroaches on the domains of 'monsters'.

"She is strong and so am I. We will be fine." I reassured with a confident smile. "In the meantime I want you to keep everything on track while I'm out."

"That is part of my duties as your queen." Scáthach replied with a nod.

"Then I will leave things to you." I said with a smile as I went to Ciri.

She was currently out in the city, sitting at a café near the Music Square.

I decided to show up with a barely noticeable pulse of [Space] just to test Ciri a bit.

"Huh?" Was the response as she seemed to feel something but not being quite sure.

"Hello Ciri. How are you today?" I asked with a bit of a smile as she jumped a bit.

"*Eep* Do you have to do that?" She questioned with a glare.

"No, but it's fun and a bit of a test on your passive sensing." I answered with amusement. "I'll give you 62/100."

"Yeah Yeah. So why are you here? You don't usually see me unless it's for lessons or outings." She asked with mild curiosity.

"For the latter. We're going to a very different kind of place today. In the human world." I answered the girl as she paid more attention now.

"We're going up? Really?" She seriously asked.

"Yes. A vampire civil war is breaking out and I want to know why and if anything useful can come out of it. You're coming along for experience since you've stayed exclusively in the underworld." I told her as I ordered myself a blueberry muffin.

"Vampires!? I learnt about the ones from my world while at Kaer Morhen, but what are they like here?" The surprised teen asked as she had learnt that many creatures were quite different here or that some didn't exist here and some of ours didn't exist there.

We've also discovered that many are much more 'attractive' here than in her world, but what can I expect from a Harem anime world? Only a few joke ones like the older Yuki-onna have been more monster like, and even then they are very attractive in their youths.

"Vampires are actually quite similar to devils in culture and attitude, preferring to divide themselves based on social standing and 'nobility'.

The main differences come from their more numerous weaknesses to things such as Sunlight and garlic. They cannot cross running water nor enter a house uninvited. Their injuries can only be healed while sleeping in their coffins and they must consume blood to survive.

They also share the weaknesses of devils and most 'evil' or 'dark' creatures in this world, light magic and holy objects.

But they do possess their own advantages.

Superhuman strength and endurance, with a temporary increase in power just after drinking blood, although it needs to either be from a virgin or a holder of significant power. They can also manipulate bats and insects, with the ability to transform into a swarm of either depending on the vampires preference. They are ageless and can shift their appearances to their likings, but most tend to find a preferred form and keep it out of pride and vanity.

On the more magical side, they have the ability to manipulate shadows and darkness, but the extent varies between vampires and the time of day. They can also create and manipulate sensory or defensive mist.

But the biggest problem when dealing with Vampires is their ability to create more if necessary.

By bitting the neck of a victim and injecting their blood into them, they can create more vampires. The bad news is that this isn't always successful and a fair number turn into feral undead should they fail to take in the blood. The good news is that high-class vampires find the practice beneath them and that it sullies the name vampire to make humans into their 'superior race'." I explained as I went through standard vampires.

"How can you tell a Vampire from a human or Devil then?" She asked as her Witcher training showed, even as limited as it was.

"There are a significant number of traits vampires either can't or won't conceal due to their race or excessive prides.

For one pretty much all vampires chose to be have doll-like faces. They have the palest skin tones akin to a bloodless corps, red eyes and a sharp set of fangs. Other ways to spot a vampire are the lack of shadow and reflection in mirrors or windows. And the most obvious are the bat-like wings they possess." I informed her as I enjoyed my muffin.

"You keep saying they are prideful, but are they that bad?" She asked as she was paying full attention to this little lesson.

"Yes." I answered without any doubt. "Vampires are likely to be one of the most prideful races in existence. Dragons and Gods being high up there and devils bellow them. They completely believe in their superiority to not only humans, but nearly anything else.

High-class vampires even disdain the Satans and only begrudgingly fear Gods. They look down on even their own kin and disdain Damphirs most of all."

"What's a damphir?" The curious girl asked as they didn't have those in her world.

"A child born between another species and a vampire. They do not hold the weaknesses of vampires and still retain all standard abilities. They are hated due to the immense pride vampires have, seeing Damphirs as the ultimate filth as their blood is 'sullied', but they simply indulge in their lust regardless and keep creating them." I answered her with distaste and scorn for their immense stupidity and cowardice.

I knew full well that this behavior wasn't truly based of 'sullied blood', but actually on fear.

They fear that damphirs will grow more powerful than them as they hold all vampire powers but none of the weaknesses. They also have the chance to awaken sacred gears if the partner was human. So they oppress them as best they can to maintain their grip on power like all fools, crushing any chances of raising more powerhouses for their race and maybe even eventually evolving beyond their many weaknesses by breeding with Damphirs enough.

"Wow. That's so stupid." Exclaimed Ciri, "But good for everyone else I guess."

"Indeed." I agreed as I finished my muffin. "So, ready to get going now or do you need anything?"

"Are we going for long?" She asked back.

"Shouldn't be a long trip unless something spectacular happens. And even then I have lots of supplies on hand." I told her.

"Then I should be fine as is." The girl replied with a nod.

She was actually wearing an outfit rather similar to the one from the Witcher 3. A beige blouse tucked into form fitting brown leather pants and a pair of knee high leather boots. She had Swallow on her back, a few enchanted knives on her belt, and her storage tattoo holding everything else.

"I suggest a cloak at least to hide most of your features and to protect you from the wind. It is fairly chilly in Romania and the place will likely remind you of your home." I told her as I opened up a portal to the human world.

Without a word she took out a hooded black cloak and put it on.

"What about you?" She then questioned.

"Got mine right here." I answered as I used Loki's little trick and made my cloak appear on my body.

"Show off." She murmured before looking at me with a look of realization, "Right, I forgot to ask but what's this civil war about?"

"Oh that.

The main issue at the moment is because there's been a rather major change not too long ago in the royal family of the Vampires and now the two strongest families are arguing on who should be in power. The two sides being the male dominated Tepes and the female dominated Carmilla." I answered simply as we walked through the portal.

On the other side we found a city stuck in the dark ages as drab stone houses and castles were visible thanks to the numerous torches, lamps and candles lighting up the city.

One could see just as much, if not more, activity in this city at the moment than there is in others during the day.

There was a clear division between those there as finely clothed people were wondering around with people on chains. Some more modestly dressed individuals were either sucking up to the nicely dressed ones or almost flinching at any sudden movement as the wealthy ones laughed and harassed others as they pleased.

In some parts of the city I could already spot some conflicts between some aristocratic males and females as they flared their power to intimidate the other.

In summary, this place reminded me of Lucifaad before the war. A city of excess and sin for those in power while others toiled and cowered under them in fear. But this place smelt so much more of blood than any other I had ever been in.

"What a disgusting place. I regret not being able to erase these parasites." I said with disdain as I watched a 'noble vampire' suck the blood out of a ten year old child with glee as the girl looked at her already drained mother with dead eyes.

"Why can't you? This place is horrible." She asked as she herself turned away.

"The consequences of such would lead to much greater loss of life as it would ignite a war in my pantheon and might even anger some of the spiteful gods who created these leaches enough to attack as well." I answered her reluctantly, "And as powerful as I am, I cannot take on an entire pantheon alongside the other factions while protecting my people if the devils throw me aside as a scapegoat."

"So we can't do anything?" She asked with gritted teeth.

"Not here and not now." I told her as I placed my hand on her shoulder. "The best I can do is to give hope to those most in need."

"How?" Ciri asked as she looked at me with her emerald eyes.

"With proper planning and the right friends, one can achieve a great many impossible feats." I answered her with a smile which would bring many annoyances to these blood suckers later. "But for now I want to check out a few things here and in the main cities of the two factions."

"Fine." Ciri reluctantly replied as she wants to help the people she saw, but after her time in the Underworld she had learnt a few things.

One of them was that she was very weak in this world. And rushing ahead just because she had her ability to teleport thanks to the Elder Blood might not even succeed and in this case she might even implicate the people who've been nice and welcoming to her and still almost end up being targeted as a meal by the vampires.

Reckless, stubborn and hotheaded she may be, but she is still a compassionate, caring and loyal girl. So in the end she grit her teeth and followed me as I teleported us.

Unfortunately we were greeted by an even worst sight once we reached the Tepes line's main city.

The place was even worst than the capital as Male vampires were seen almost running wild as they consumed the blood of human women in the streets. I could sense the beaten and subdued female vampires locked in their own homes as their husbands went out to feast or rape.

Slave and 'cattle' markets were the largest functioning sites in this city as the 'best quality' was brought from all over this forsaken country and beyond. Whatever else was usually shops for luxuries or arenas where the 'nobles' could enjoy death matches.

This city was a den of barbaric acts outside the castle and mansions of the 'high-class' vampires who kept any female as slaves. They indulged themselves in breaking female vampires I would assume are from the Carmilla faction or sympathetic to it by means of having their slaves or animals rape them and even simply torturing them sadistically.

The strongest presence I could feel was somewhere in the middle tiers of Ultimate-class. The one I could only assume was the current King Tepes. But there were a two other low tier Ultimate-classes in large mansions nearby.

Without a word, the two of us left as I could find nothing of note in this city which is more hellish than the Underworld for humans.

Arriving at the Carmilla faction city was almost a breath of fresh air after the last two.

It might be a bit sexist, but the place looked much better under a woman's care as the city moved away from the depressing style of the dark ages and embraced the Italian Renaissance style as lavish villas decorated the area around a stylish castle with tainted windows and many pieces of art decorating the outside and inside. There was even a maze of rose bushes with fountains spread throughout.

The main city was also clean and had more civilized shops as different tailors, bakers and goods shops were lined up. And one didn't spy vampires savagely gorging themselves in the streets.

What one did see was the collaring and control of all males however as male Vampires were led around like beasts, wearing spiked metal restrains and halters as their mistresses guided them around or had them pull the carriages.

I could feel the well stocked torture chambers filled with groaning men all over the city and female vampires lounging in luxury as they surrounded themselves by pretty boy slaves to wait for them hands and feet or serve as snacks.

The most angering part was that it was apparently in fashion to mimic Queen Carmilla and bathe in virgin blood to keep ones skin and hair smooth.

The amount of blood going into this city was even larger than the Tepes line, just displayed in a better wrapping.

I decided to get a proper feel for the power level in this place as well, but found that it was about the same as the Tepes faction. The Queen was mid ultimate, with two low ultimates, but fewer high-classes.

But, there was actually something which peaked my interest as I felt around.

A rather powerful Vampire locked up deep under the Queen's castle. Sealed by many holy chains.

The interesting part was that she was a female and had an aura I believed to have actually died out.

"Looks like we have a prisoner to visit." I said to Ciri.

"Are we freeing someone?" She asked seriously as she prepared herself mentally.

"Maybe. Depends on the person. This prisoner is rather unique." I replied casually since it really will.

"What's special about them?" Ciri questioned with a look.

"They might be a true vampire royal." I answered her with some expectation.

"Didn't you say something major happened in the royal family and that's why there's a civil war? Why is one of them a prisoner then?" A confused Ciri asked.

"Something major did happen. The last True Royal Vampire died, leaving no one to succeed him. Or so everyone thought." I told her as I subtly shifted myself and a shocked Ciri into the cell of the target.

"Well then, it seems little old me has some visitors. How nice." A young girl's voice with a British accent sounded out as we appeared.

The source was surprisingly what seemed to be cute 10 year old child with long blonde hair, vampiric red eyes, with a confident and proud look on her face. All that seemed to cover her childish body was simple white dress.

She was chained to the wall behind her using chains bathed in holy water and further restrained through seals on said wall. The room itself contained and restricted any sort of energy signature, but it can't block beings at my level from feeling the girl.

"A little girl? That's the royal vampire?" Ciri questioned with an awkward look on her face as she looked at me for confirmation.

"I'm not a little girl you brat! I am the mighty Evangeline Cain! I've been alive longer than your grandfather's grandfather when he was only a twinkle in his father's eyes!" A triggered vampire yelled out as she seemed to want to smack Ciri's head for calling her a little girl as I isolated the room further so we wouldn't be disturbed.

"What? Really?" She asked me this time in disbelief.

I then gave a look at the blonde girl and used my [Time] to trace her, confirming she is actually 300 years old.

"She's not lying if your however many great grandfather wasn't long lived. She's over 300 years old." I answered Ciri as she was gobsmacked.

"Why would a 300 year old vampire choose to look like a ten year old kid?" The teen asked out of confusion.

"Not like it's by choice! These damned chains constantly drain me of any power I have and they barely feed me any blood. I had to transform like this to conserve energy." Evangeline grumbled in annoyance as she tugged her chained limbs. "If these weren't here I would return to my real appearance and you would stand in awe at my beauty."

"Riiiiiiiiight." Ciri replied before looking at me, "Can we leave now that we've visited her?"

"Not yet." I answered with a shake of my head.

"What? Is the little girl afraid of the big bad vampire?" Evangeline teased with a mocking expression on her face.

"Look at yourself before calling someone a little girl!" Ciri angrily responded as her hotheadedness got the best of her.

"Ciri, please let me speak to the vampire so we can leave quicker if you have a problem with her." I intervened before the two girls could devolve into bickering.

"Hmph! Fine." The grumpy girl replied as she turned her head away from the bound vampire.

"Aww. You're taking away my only fun in a week already?" Evangeline 'complained' before her gaze turned serious. "Well out with it then. What does a Devil bringing a human want with me?"

"I was curious after hearing news of a civil war and wanted to investigate the cause and if I could capitalize on the stupidity of your kind. But then I felt you, a vampire of the recently declared extinct Cain line of Vampires, and I had to visit." I answered with a smile. "Now I am wondering what to do."

"What's so special about her stupid line anyway?" The still annoyed Ciri asked from the side.

"Is being the family of the original Vampire enough for you little girl? Or how about our unique gift with allows us to create a strengthening technique from the negative energy and mana around us. Or our immense inborn natural energy reserves. How about our ability to store blood in our bodies for later use to enhance our regeneration and help us not have to feed for longer periods of time?" Evangeline boasted and poked at Ciri at the same time as she mentioned the known abilities of the royal vampires of the Cain line.

They were descended from the biblical Cain himself after all, and gained many things in exchange for God's anger against their line. God sentenced him to walk the mortal world, marked by his heinous sin as no man would welcome him into their homes. He could no longer enjoy the warmth of his grace (sun). No longer would he see his visage. And no longer would he be able to enjoy the bounties of the land as he had chosen blood.

But for each punishment they had gained more in return and eventually Cain would establish the first Vampire line, which also was the strongest.

The problem came later as excessive pride, arrogance, egotism and narcissism halted most Cain line vampires from reproducing as they saw even high-class vampires as beneath themselves. Eventually leading to the civil war currently beginning.

"Lith! Let me teach this impertinent Halfling a lesson!" The goaded Ciri yelled as she went for her sword.

"Bring it girly! Even chained up that stick of yours won't even leave a scratch after a minute!" Evangeline yelled back as for some reason the two could not get along.

"Enough!" I declared with a bit of power in my voice as my eyes flashed for a moment, causing the both to stop and Evangeline to look at me seriously for the first time.

"What do you want then devil?" The blonde asked coldly.

"It will depend." I answered.

"On what?" She inquired suspiciously.

"On what it is you would do or want if I helped you escape this place." I answered once again as she went silent for a moment.

"I would take my daughter back from my bitch of a cousin and leave this place. I have no desire to lead these arrogant fools. I just want my daughter to live a happy life." Evangeline answered softly as a lot of that aggressiveness left her.

"You have a daughter!?" A completely shocked Ciri yelled out.

"And the father?" I asked as she hadn't mentioned him in her desire.

"*Sigh* That foolish little wizard. He died trying to protect me when I was giving birth and that bitch Lucine Carmilla attacked." Evangeline answered with sadness and spite.

"The child is a Damphir?" I softly said out of surprise.

To think the last true royal vampire would have a child with a human she actually loved. No wonder they locked her up instead of announcing her survival.

"Yes. And I would rip out the throats of all those bitches in an instant if they didn't threaten me with her life." The angry vampire growled as her eyes shone.

"Hmmm. What are your skills, abilities and powers Lady Evangeline Cain?" I suddenly asked as an idea formed.

"What?" A confused blonde asked at the change of topic.

"What could you contribute? Skills, powers, knowledge, training? What could you offer me in exchange for the life of yourself and your daughter?" I asked as my entire body language exuded my power and charisma.

"Everything." She answered while looking me dead in the eyes. "My strength. My expertise in Dark and Ice magic. My education to rule if that is what you need. I offer anything and everything if you can give me what I want."

"Good." I responded with a truly devilish smile. "Then consider your daughter… saved."

As soon as I finished speaking a very small babe with very pale skin, a cute little sleeping face and little silver tuft on her head appeared in my arms without waking her in her little bundle.

"*gasp* My baby." Evangeline softly said as she knew immediately that this was indeed her child and tears started flowing from her eyes as she began to almost desperately try to free herself from her chains to approach her.

I had been feeling around the castle for signatures closely matching to her as soon as she mentioned a baby, then used my [Space] to bring her over.

I love my powers.

"One moment." I told her as I shifted her out of her bindings and seals while stoping time around them to delay the alarm that would sound to signal Evangeline escaping.

The blonde vampire didn't wait for a moment to rush for her child, which I easily let her take.

"My baby girl. My beautiful little Moka." Evangeline softly cooed as she gently held her child.

I looked over to Ciri as she watched the rather touching moment.

"Not used to seeing the 'monster' being so 'human' huh?" I said to her as she snapped out of her thoughts.

"Y-Yeah." The girl responded with a conflicting expression.

"Just remember that sometimes humans can be more monstrous than anything and the 'monsters' can have more humanity in them than saints." I gently told her.

The girl quietly nodded her head as she stayed in contemplation.

"What will this cost me Devil?" Evangeline then quietly asked as she held her child protectively.

"One of two things:

The first is for you to become a candidate for my wife's Peerage. I saw who you are as I looked at your past. I will apologize for doing so without your permission and will assure you that I will not be discussing anything I've seen without permission either, but I believe you would be a perfect balance for my rather bubbly wife as her queen.

The second option if for you to become a part of my governmental system or educational system in order to contribute and earn a living. You will be my subject and have to follow my orders, but I can assure you the best quality of living for yourself and your daughter." I answered her honestly as these would be what their freedom would cost.

"How does this Peerage work? And what do I get in return?" Evangeline asked carefully.

"First, it would be up to my wife, Serafall Leviathan, to decide if you would truly become her queen. I believe she would after the two of you get to know each other better, but it is up to her.

If you are accepted as her queen, you will become a Devil. But you will also receive a significant boost in your magical and physical abilities.

As a member of Serafall's Peerage you would then be considered part of the family and receive the best of everything I can provide for yourself and your daughter. Housing, schooling and income are all taken care of. It will also come with many other advantages you will not find anywhere else on earth or in the Underworld, but you will need to see it to believe it.

But should you be rejected, I will still ensure you and your child are taken care of until you find a suitable job to make a living. There will be other perks depending on the position as per whichever contract you would sign. I can guarantee a high ranking position thanks to your abilities however, so it won't be much of a problem." I explained to the royal vampire as I laid down her best options.

I couldn't really be more specific since she would really need to see my lands to believe my claims. We just have way to good a thing going on.

She did raise an eyebrow at the reveal that my wife was a Satan, but then went into thought as she gently cradled her baby.

*sigh* was the first answer as the vampire exited her thoughts

"Fine. You're my best option. If you can give me what you promised then I will swallow my pride and bow to the Satan Leviathan." Evangeline finally answered as she looked into my eyes again.

"She won't want you to bow. She prefers to make friends." I replied with a bit of a wry smile.

I then opened a portal for the four of us and headed home with quite the catch.

A few hours later all hell broke loose in Queen Carmilla's castle as they discovered that Evangeline and her daughter had disappeared without a trace, but they couldn't do anything or they might let it slip to the Tepes faction that a Cain vampire mother and daughter still exist if they do a massive search.

EXTRA AUTHOR NOTES:

Introducing Evangeline Cain or, as her non DxD character is called, Evangeline A.K. McDowell from Negima/Uq Holder. Serafall's future Queen since I actually think having a more serious and experienced woman with quite a lot of power and potential would be a good fit to help Serafall.

Now, she does currently look like her Negima form, but she will return to her bodacious Uq Holder form after she recovers and gets some blood.

She will retain the majority of her skills and abilities shown in Negima and Uq Holder, as her ice and dark magic just need some adjustments. She was shown to be an excellent hand-to-hand combatant. And she had many other skills to make her a very useful ally and fitting queen piece recipient.

As for her daughter, her name is Moka Cain-Springfield. Negima fans will know from who that name comes from.

She will essentially become Moka Akashiya from Rosario+Vampire, but more powerful. I actually took the vampire Youki from that series and basically made it the unique skill for the Cain Family. She will have a pretty strong OC Sacred Gear too.

Now as for said Cain family of Vampires. It's all OC.

The cause of the Vampire civil was never mentioned, but the wiki said that the overall goal of both factions was to decide who would lead as the new true vampires. To my mind that means someone must have been in charge before and is no longer, thus I created a new family which would have actually been powerful enough to merit vampires not having been wiped out and for their arrogance.

The result was that I took Cain, the first murderer of the Bible and cursed him into becoming the first known vampire. The Tepes line would come from Dracula later as God punished him for his actions too. While the Carmilla line would be birthed from the infamous woman as her punishment was to become a vampire as well. Carmilla and Dracula would have been born before their inspirations.

Hope is was an interesting trip into Vampire Land and that you guys like my choices of inserts.

Enjoy.
