The next day, Eli sat in the main office of his home awaiting Noah's arrival so he could start his work. The dinner with Helen's parents had gone better than what he expected with his mother's unexpected visit. Mary and Samuel always had positive energy radiating off the two of them and he enjoyed spending time with the people who raised Helen.
But there were two things he pondered on all night long. One, how on earth did Helen bond with his mother so quickly enough to calm her down from whatever she was feeling? Two, how did Helen get a bracelet which was on the black market? Those things weren't easy to come across and some regular stores couldn't mistakenly sell them. The only place Helen would get a bracelet like the one last night was a good source or dealer in the black market.
