Self Introduction

After the call Zhao Xing felt a bit better, she wondered why she suddenly had this headache, and why she had difficulty remembering what had happened the day before.

'Is it because my traveling between two worlds is affecting me?' She thought, but she wasn't sure, she had always been fine whenever she left that world, and would feel great when she woke up in the mornings, why was today different?

"Jie!" (Big sister) Zhao Yun was at the door, he came to hasten his sister on his mother's behalf.

"Yeah, yeah, I'm coming." If this was going to continue she mustn't let her mother or Zhao Yun know. She quickly got ready for school and was off.

When she arrived school she didn't see Jiang Chen. "Xing Xing, who are you looking for?" Shan Shan, who was talking to Zhao Xing was puzzled when she saw her friend's eyes wandering.

Zhao Xing normally told her friends everything, but Jiang Chen was a secretive boy, he wouldn't want her to tell anybody about that incident.

"No one."

Shan Shan's eyes narrowed. "No one?" she asked. Zhao Xing nodded.

Shan Shan seemed to have remembered something, and she looked around. After not seeing her subject of search, she turned to Zhao Xing in understanding. "Ahh, I see, no one, no one." She patted her friends arm, thinking about the shy boy the other day.

'Is this boy playing hard to get? He didn't show up at school yesterday, is he thinking of doing the same today?' Shan Shan thought, she looked at the absentminded Zhao Xing and sighed. 'Distance truly makes the heart grow fonder.'

"Zhao Xing let's hang out together after school, alright?"

"Hang out?"

Shan Shan nodded. Her friend was looking down, she had to cheer her up!

Lu Yang cut in as he held a few pieces of paper in his hands. "Here, Zhao Xing, Shan Shan you guys come this Saturday at five, don't be late."

"Ah?" they both took the pieces of paper, which turned out to be tickets to the movies. Just then Jiang Chen walked into the class, he looked better than yesterday, but he had his head bowed as if trying to reduce his existence.

Zhao Xing looked at Jiang Chen, then at Lu Yang, "Xiao Lu, do you have any more tickets?"

Lu Yang looked a bit confused but quickly responded, raising the last ticket in his hand, "Yeah, I got four I was wondering who to give it to…" Before he could finish, Zhao Xing snatched the ticket from his hands, and waved at Jiang Chen.

"Jiang Chen!" She called out to the boy who almost arrived his seat stunning him, he raised his head, and stared in her direction.

"Come here." The boy reluctantly walked over as some students stared at him, wondering when the shy boy got friends.

"Here" She handed the tickets to him, "Saturday, 5pm, don't be late."

Lu Yang stared at the girl who had just used his words, then at Jiang Chen.

Zhao Xing knew she had unintentionally created an awkward situation, "Shan Shan, this is Jiang Chen, the boy from the other day. Jiang Chen this is Xue Shan Shan, the class belle" She introduced. Shan Shan greeted him with a big grin on her face. Zhao Xing proceeded, "Lu Yang, this is Jiang Chen, he's shy, treat him well, Jiang Chen this is Lu Yang he's boring don't mind him." The two boys nodded at each other. "As from today we are all friends."

"Eh? Zhao Xing what about me?" A student asked as everybody's eyes were suddenly on the four.

'Ah? What 'what about you'?'

"Yeah me too, I always wanted to talk to Jiang Chen but he was so cold."

"Yeah, me too, he ignored me when I greeted him on his first day of school"

"Me too!"

"Me three"

The class suddenly became lively as everybody wanted to be introduced to their classmate they already spent two years with.

Jiang Chen became flustered. He didn't expect things to escalate. But before he could drown in the sea of attention, Zhao Xing held his arm, as if afraid he'd run away.

"No problem, I'll introduce you, wait no, you introduce yourselves then."

Everyone in their place yelled out a quick self-introduction.

"I'm Zheng Yu, I hate studying, nice to meet you." Everyone laughed.

"I'm Chi Wen, I love cats, nice to meet you."

It went on for some time. But they didn't get to finish because the teacher arrived. It was their English teacher, and since he saw how lively they were he didn't have the heart to end it, but instead asked everyone to introduce themselves in English, before they started the actual lesson.

Some were ok with it some were against it, but in the end everybody did it. It was fun to say the least. And English class was more interesting today than on normal days.

During break, people would call Jiang Chen to play, to buy stuff together. Even though he wasn't used to the attention, he still tried to cope with it, especially when a certain someone refused him from backing out with their eyes.

It couldn't be helped. She didn't expect this to happen but it happened anyway and it was a good opportunity for Jiang Chen to make friends, how could she miss it? So she kept a keen eye on him. He wasn't allowed to go back to his old self at all.

'Jiang Chen, don't blame me, it was you who asked to become friends.'

Shan Shan who sat next to her was busy 'eating melons'. "Zhao Xing, you're really something!" She said raising her hands with a thumbs up.

Lu Yang watched her in silence feeling there was a huge misunderstanding somewhere, but couldn't pinpoint it.

After school, Zhao Xing didn't forget the hanging out plan and dragged them all to have ice cream.

"Today I'll treat you guys!" She said with determination. She could only apologize to her pockets.

'Being a poor student was hard!'

Shan Shan seemed to be the only one who showed her excitement.

"What you two don't want to come? We just got a new member shouldn't we celebrate" She stared at Lu Yang, then cast a threatening glare at Jiang Chen.

Poor Jiang Chen felt wronged, it wasn't that he wasn't happy to come he just felt too out of place. It wasn't like this yesterday, everything changing so suddenly was too...too much.

As for Lu Yang, Zhao Xing didn't mind him. Just then Zhao Xing had a phone call. She quickly picked it up when she saw the caller ID. She walked away from the groupe.

"Fatty, is it done? Great you've always been reliable, don't worry I'll treat you guys." The call only lasted a minute or two, when she came back, she could hear her heart breaking.

'I have to treat six people...sniff...why do I always put myself in these kinds of situations.'

She shook away her thoughts as she saw all her friends chatting together, she felt happy, and dragged all of them. Today she just wanted to have fun, other things could just...go to hell.

Zhao Xing: Author you could have made me rich, my mother could become a Dowager, I'm just saying.

Author: That can't do, I'm not rich, how can my MC be rich before me?

Zhao Xing: But that Smiley Face is rich, it's not fair! Just wait and see, I'll get myself a rich uncle, see if I don't get rich soon.

Mrs. Zhao: Zhao Xing! Where did you learn such words?

Zhao Xing: .....from Xiao Yun....

Zhao Yun:.....???
