Mimi had finally made up her mind and accepted Lander's proposal. She had stopped running away from him and admitted that she had feelings for him. She knew she couldn't resist his charm and his gentleness. He was handsome and sweet, and his smile was irresistible. He made her want to kiss his soft lips and explore his body. She didn't care what anyone else thought. She was in love with him and wanted to be with him. He was intriguing, and she wanted to discover more of him.
Time flew by as they spent more and more time together. They went on dates, held hands, cuddled, and kissed. They were happy and in love. They couldn't get enough of each other. They were looking forward to the SRC week celebration, a week of fun and freedom for all the high school students. It was a week of no classes, no homework, no rules. It was a week of parties, games, competitions, and performances. It was a week of excitement and adventure. It was a week of romance and passion. Let me know what kind of celebrations you have in your schools) But while this week was a dream come true for Mimi and Lander, it was a nightmare for Fei. Fei was Mimi's best friend, encouraging her to confess her feelings to Lander. She had thought it would be good for Mimi to be honest with herself and Lander. She had thought that it would make Mimi happy and that she would support her friend's happiness. But she didn't expect to become the third wheel in their relationship. She didn't expect to become their messenger, adviser, cheerleader, or witness. She didn't expect to have to listen to Mimi gush about Lander all day or to see them act lovey-dovey in front of her all the time. She didn't expect to feel like an outsider in her friendship.
Fei was tired of hearing Mimi talk about Lander non-stop. She was tired of seeing them kiss and hug every chance they got. She was tired of being ignored and neglected by Mimi, who only had eyes for Lander. She was tired of being the odd one out in their trio. ' Seriously, Mimi, can you hear yourself right now? Weren't you the one who denied having any feelings for him? And now you're acting like a lovesick puppy around him?' Fei said with an exasperated look on her face.
' Hey Fei, that's not fair. I might have been in denial, but that's in the past.' Mimi said with a sheepish look. ' A little bit? In denial? Past? Who are you kidding? You're not the same Mimi I knew three weeks ago. If I hadn't seen this transformation with my own eyes, I wouldn't have believed it if someone had told me.' Fei said with a bewildered look in her eyes.
' The Mimi I know, who was head over heels for her supposed boyfriend, is now being girly over Lander, who she ran away from when he first proposed? Wow! I'm honestly baffled.' Fei said. Indeed, this world is full of surprises... No, scratch that. This world is full of shocks. I'm not surprised by anything Mimi does anymore. I'm shocked by how fast she changed her mind and heart. All I can do now is sit back and watch the show they're putting on for me.
I have a feeling it will be a roller coaster ride of emotions. MiLander ship, what kind of drama will you create for your eager audience? And how long will they keep rubbing their love in my face? Ugh! I already regret it. I do. I wish I hadn't pushed her to confess. But what can I do? As a friend, you always have to support your friends no matter their situation. If they're wrong, you correct them; if they're right, you back them up; if they're suffering or in pain, you comfort them; if they're happy or in love, you celebrate with them; always be a shoulder they can cry on and a fortress they can come back to; always be a pillar of trust they can rely on.
With these values and principles engraved in Fei's heart, she had no choice but to see this through, that which she had helped to start. The question here is: What kind of ending do you think will happen? Happy or sad? This SRC week will indeed be interesting.
