Visiting the Yotsuba Clan

The Yotsuba Clan, one of the ten strongest magician families in Japan, not counting the Five Principal Clans, is one of the magician community's most secretive clans. Other than their clan head and a few notable members, no one knows much about its other members. No one even knows what their preferred line of magical research is.

Because of all the clan's secrets, many people have made it their goal to uncover these secrets. However, over the years, not one has succeeded. This, unfortunately, has led to a lot of clans and organizations losing a lot of their best personnel. And naturally, this led to a lot of enmities being formed against the Yotsuba Clan.

So, Thirty-plus years ago, in an effort to cripple the Yotsuba Clan's next generation, the heir to the family head position at that time, a twelve-year-old girl, was kidnapped by a foreign organization. During the time of her kidnapping, that girl was not only subjected to inhumane torture, she was also r***d. By the time she was rescued, at the cost of her father's, the previous head of the Yotsuba Clan's, life, that young girl, Yotsuba Maya, was left unable to have children in the future.

From then on, it was decided that future heirs of the Yotsuba Clan would grow up under a different surname. This generation, the surname chosen was Shiba. And the heir's given name was Miyuki. Miyuki, James' newest [Bishop] is the daughter of the current Yotsuba Clan Head's, Yotsuba Maya's, deceased elder twin sister, Shiba, formerly Yotsuba, Miya.

After going through the trouble of keeping the identity of her heir secret for sixteen-plus years, Yotsuba Maya was less than thrilled when she found out that Miyuki had thrown away her humanity and become a devil. Though she did not mind losing Tatsuya, especially since she feared him as a weapon that could not be completely controlled.

Thanks to Tatsuya and Miyuki's mother, Tatsuya had the majority of his emotions stripped from him due to Miya's unique magic. Without going into detail, the parts of Tatsuya's brain that were responsible for emotional responses were converted into extra space that would be used for magical calculations. In turn, he lost the ability to feel strong emotion, leaving only a strong desire to keep Miyuki safe.

So, in essence, Tatsuya was left as a double-edged sword for the Yotsuba Clan. With his powerful unique magics, disintegration and regeneration combined with the fact that he would point his blade at anyone he deemed a threat to Miyuki's safety, without question, He was nye impossible to fully control.

Either way, after finding out that Tatsuya and Miyuki had been reincarnated as devils, Maya had them imprisoned and all of the Yotsuba Clan's resources were shifted to find a way to return them to normal.

Human World, Japan, Tokyo.

While James and the others were allocating bedrooms in the Team DxD base, Yotsuba Maya, a forty-five-year-old woman, who did not look a day over thirty, full of feminine charm and elegance with raven black hair and facial features that strongly resembled Miyuki's, sat in her private chambers in the Yotsuba Clam compound.

"*Sigh* Those kids really caused a lot of trouble this time." Maya said, still exasperated over the stunt her niece and nephew pulled. "Hayama, has there been any progress?"

"Unfortunately, there has not." Hayama, Maya's elderly butler reported as she entered the room while carrying a tray with a teapot and teacup on top of it.

"That girl only did this because her brother did it." Maya said exasperatedly. "He's so much more trouble than he's worth."

At that moment, Hayama arrived near Maya and placed the teacup in front of her before pouring the contents of the teapot into the teacup.

Maya then picked up the teacup elegantly and inhaled the scent of the tea. Once she was satisfied, she then took a sip.

"*Sigh* And have we found out which devil's peerage they joined?" Maya asked, placing her teacup down.

"No, neither of them has revealed the name of their [King]." Hayama said respectfully.

"Do you have any good news to report?" Maya asked annoyedly.

"Although I'm not sure if it is good news, the siblings did say something about their [King]." Hayama said in the same tone.

"For some reason, I get the feeling that I don't want to hear this news." Maya said after taking another sip of her tea. Then, she held out her teacup so that it could be refilled. "Well, let me hear it."

"Both of them said the same thing." Hayama said as he poured another cup of tea for Maya. "They said that their [King] would be arriving today, since they had not reported in yesterday."

After Hayama finished reporting what the Shiba siblings had to say and pouring Maya's second cup of tea, the room fell silent as Maya took a sip. Then, Maya continued to drink her tea. Once the tea in her cup had been drained, she set the cup down.

"This is going to be a long night." Maya said, realizing that whoever was able to reincarnate Tatsuya was more than likely stronger than herself.

A moment later, a huge presence washed over the entire Yotsuba compound. The pressure that this presence gave off was enough to bring the weaker people resent in the compound to their knees near instantly. Meanwhile, the stronger people felt that breathing became more difficult while they began sweating uncontrollably.

"*Sigh* I want to retire." Maya said while shaking her head.

"Good evening, Yotsuba Clan!" A male voice said, sounding as if it had been spoken from just in front of everyone in the compound. "I've come to thank you for taking such good care of my new [Pawn] and [Bishop] for the last few days."

"I really want to retire." maya said after that voice rang out over the compound. Then, she looked at Hayama and continued to speak. "Hayama, go greet our guest. Also, have Tatsuya and Miyuki brought to the main reception room."

"As you wish, Maya-Sama." Hayama said while bowing politely. Then, he exited the room to carry out his newly assigned tasks.

A few minutes ago, in front of the Yotsuba compound, a teleportation magic circle appeared. When it vanished, three figures, James, Irene, and Serafall, appeared in its place.

"Jay-Kun, why did you bring me with you?" serafall asked in confusion. "I don't even know your [Pawn] and [Bishop]."

"Because I think that someone living here would make a perfect final villain on your show." James replied with a smile.

Hearing that, Serafall's eyes lit up immediately. Then, she grabbed James by his left arm and began to swing it around like an excited child, just with much more force.

"Really?" Serafall exclaimed excitedly. "Let's go then! I have to meet them. Wait, is it a man or a woman?"

"If I told you that, it would ruin the surprise." James said with a grin.

"Jay-Kun, you're so stingy." Serafall said with a pout.

"As fun as that sounds, I don't think those guards will just let us in if we walk up to the gates." Irene said while Serafall continued to pester James.

James chuckled. Then, he took a step forward. As his foot fell, he stirred his demonic energy, spreading it through the entire compound while using it to pressure everyone inside.

"Good evening, Yotsuba Clan!" James said, letting his voice travel through his demonic energy so that everyone in the compound could hear it clearly. "I've come to thank you for taking such good care of my new [Pawn] and [Bishop] for the last few days."

With that, James stepped forward making his way toward the compound's front gate. Naturally, Ireen and Serafall followed him while Serafall continued to pester him over their last topic of discussion. Then, just as they arrived in front of the gate, it opened, and an elderly man dressed as a butler greeted them.

When the elderly butler, Hayama saw who was standing on the other side of the gate when he had it opened, his eyes widened slightly. Then, he bowed politely.

"Lord Sataniel and Lady Leviathan, the Yotsuba Clan is honored to receive you this evening." Hayama said respectfully. "If you would follow me, I will lead you to where Maya-Sama and Miyuki-Sama are waiting."

"Call me Levia-Tan." Serafall said with a smile.

Noticing that Tatsuya was not mentioned, James raised an eyebrow. However, he shrugged his shoulders shortly afterward. Then he traded glances with Irene and followed Hayama as he turned and walked into the compound. Meanwhile, Serafall pouted, because her request to be called "Levia-Tan' was ignored. Still, she followed Hayama with James, nonetheless.

While Hayama led the visitors through the compound toward the main reception room, the members of the Yotsuba clan who saw them, along the way, looked at the three devils with curiosity and fear.

After a few minutes, Hayama led the group of three to the reception room designated by Maya. Then, he knocked on the door twice before announcing their presence.

"Maya-Sama, I have arrived with the guests." Hayama said respectfully.

"Come in." Maya replied from the other side of the door.

With that, Hayama opened the door. Then, he gestured for James, Irene, and Serafall to enter. After the three entered, Hayama also entered, closing the door behind him before moving to pour tea for the guests.

At the same time, as James, Irene, and Serafall entered the room, they saw Maya, Tatsuya and Miyuki standing to greet them. From the expression on her face, it was clear to see that Maya was tense after seeing who it was that came to retrieve her niece and nephew. Unfortunately, she did not know which of the three were Tatsuya and Miyuki's [King].

While James and Irene smiled at Tatsuya and Miyuki, Serafall's eyes had been glued to Maya ever since she entered the room. And the more she looked, the more she liked what she saw.

"Lady Lev..." Maya began to say, intending to greet her guests properly, however...

"Jay-Kun, Jay-Kun!" Serafall exclaimed happily. Then, she hugged James excitedly before continuing. "You were right, she is perfect. She would be everything I can ask for, for that role!"

Hearing that outburst, Irene, Tatsuya, and Miyuki felt a sense of déjà vu. At the same time, Maya and Hayama, who did not show it on his face, were thoroughly confused by Serafall's exclamation. James, on the other hand, was expecting serafall to react this way.

Then, after hugging James for a few seconds, Serafall bound over to Maya and held her hands, confusing Maya even further.

"You're Yotsuba Maya, right?" Serafall asked with stars in her eyes.

"Uh... Yes." Maya replied, taken completely out of her own rhythm.

"Good." Serafall said with a nod and a smile. "You can call me Levia-tan. Now that introductions are out of the way, would you like to... No, please join my peerage. You're perfect for the role I'm thinking of."

"I would assume you're talking about occupying one of the [Bishop] Pieces in your peerage, correct?" Maya asked, slightly confused by the way Serafall phrased her last statement.

"No, that's not important at all." Serafall said, shaking her head from left to right which caused her twin tails to follow the movements of her head. "I want you to be the main antagonist in my magical girl show."

Instantly, Maya's confused expression intensified. She clearly had no clue what Serafall was talking about. Even though she knew what a magical girl was, she never expected to be chosen as the main antagonist in a children's show.

"I'm sorry..." Maya said, pulling her right hand free from Serafall's grasp before rubbing her temples. "Could you repeat that? I'm not sure I heard you correctly."

"I want you to join the cast of my magical girl show, 'Magical Girl, Levia-Tan'!" Serafall said excitedly.

Before she could speak any further, though, James pulled Serafall away from Maya, who had no idea how to react to that request.

"I think you should let me explain." James said, sitting Serafall on the sofa in front of Maya. "You're overwhelming her with your enthusiasm."

Although Serafall pouted when she was pulled away from Maya, she listened to James' suggestion. However, the burning gaze she looked at Maya with did not change at all.

"Good evening, Yotsuba Maya." James said with a smile after sitting Serafall down on the sofa and turning back to Maya. "I'm James Sataniel, and this is my [Queen], Ireen Belserion. Tatsuya and Miyuki are members of my peerage. So, as I said before, I'm thankful that you've taken care of them for me over the last few days."

Although James was smiling, Maya was clear that he was displeased with the fact that she held two members of his peerage against their will. On top of that, due to the vast difference in power, Maya's usually fierce demeanor was nowhere to be seen.

"Anyway, we can deal with that later." James said, maintaining his smile. "First, let's deal with Sera-Tan's matter."

Maya nodded and James took a seat on the sofa next to Serafall. Then, Maya followed suit. After that, Irene gestured for Tatsuya and Miyuki to stand next to her, behind James and Serafall. Hayama then placed a cup of tea in front of James, Serafall and Maya before standing behind Maya. Then, everyone waited for James to speak while he took a sip of the tea in front of him.

"Good tea." James said, although he was not well learned regarding tea. But he did enjoy the flavor. Then, after putting his tea cup down, he looked at Maya and spoke once again. "Sera-Tan is completely serious about having you join her peerage and playing a role in her magical girl show."

Naturally, that did not clear up any of the confusion Maya was feeling. Luckily, James was not done yet.

"However, that is not the most important thing here." James said with a smile. "Yotsuba Maya, I've heard quite a bit about you. And after hearing about your past, even I felt quite the murderous rage at what they did to you."

Maya barely reacted to what James said. Like Tatsuya, Maya's sister, Tatsuya and Miyuki's mother, used her unique magic on Maya, converting her memories of that time into data, separating it from her emotional responses.

"But if you were to become a member of Sera-Tan's peerage, there's a high chance that the damages to your womb would be healed during the reincarnation process."

Unlike when James mentioned the darkeest period of her life, Maya reacted to the possibility of having her womb healed. As a woman, even if she had no one she desired to have children with, there's a big difference between that and not being able to have children at all.

"Is that true?" Maya asked with her eyes wide open.

"It is." James replied with a nod. "But there is a chance of failure. So, you have to keep that in mind."

With a serious expression on her beautiful face, Maya stood from the sofa. Then, she began walking toward the reception room's door.

"Hayama, come along." Maya said in a serious tone. "We have work to do."

"As you wish, maya-Sama." Hayama said with a bow.

"Lord Sataniel, Lady Leviathan, if you would excuse me. I should be back in the next couple of hours." Maya said before leaving the room. "Please, make yourself at home. And if you need anything, please ring the bell on that table."

After pointing at the bell she mentioned, Maya left the room in a hurry with Hayama following behind her. An hour and a half later, there was anew Yotsuba Clan head and Serafall had a new [Bishop] and [Pawn].
