high school dxd : rebirth

in this fanfiction, the protagonist finds himself unexpectedly transmigrated into the body of Riser Phenex from High School DxD. However, this is no ordinary retelling of Rias Gremory’s story. Instead, the narrative takes a bold, fresh approach, steering clear of the original plotlines and exploring a unique journey of growth, power, and self-discovery. Drawing inspiration from multiple universes, the story incorporates elements from Kung Fu Panda, Harry Potter, and Power Rangers Mystic Force, with more captivating worlds and characters to be introduced as the tale unfolds. As I sat in the quiet guest room of Hogwarts, the flickering flames from the fireplace danced across the stone walls, casting a comforting warmth over the otherwise cold room. It was a peaceful moment, a rarity in my life since reincarnation. The past few days had been a whirlwind, each event happening one after another without much of a break. Hogwarts was more of a bustling magical ecosystem than I had anticipated. this school was chaotic, yet alive with magic.

This hogwards isn't much different from the one I know, I mused. the timeline here still seemed to follow the one I was familiar with. The Triwizard Tournament was well underway, and things were progressing as expected. Harry had been chosen as Hogwarts' champion, but unlike the original story, there was no debacle over him being underage. With his 17th birthday behind him, the school was fully behind him, even Ron seemed genuinely happy for Harry.

The only house not celebrating was Slytherin, of course. Some things never change. But more importantly, there had been no major interference from Barty Crouch Jr. posing as Mad-Eye Moody. He hadn't managed to get too close to Harry this time, thanks to school not orchestrate harry, i will ensure that the disguised Death Eater remained just out of reach. For now, I stayed in the shadows, observing.

There was a kind of tranquility in being able to watch things unfold without being directly involved. Hogwarts had its own rhythm, its own pulse, and I was content to simply blend in and gather information.

It was interesting, too, how the staff had reacted to me. Most of the students had no idea of my real heritage—they thought of me as an ambassador, a noble visiting for the tournament. But the professors knew better. Albus Dumbledore had asked me to keep my origins under wraps when I first arrived. The old man was clever, warning me that if my true identity as a Phenex was revealed, every aristocratic wizarding family in Britain would be lining up at Hogwarts' gates to curry favor. I respected his wisdom in that regard, so I agreed. Better to keep things low-key, at least for now. well devil do own the magical britan but after first war it was given to pendragon family after receiving letter from god . devil also make demand to let their subordinate at that time wizard to live independent to pendragon family .

I had met many of the professors, and while they were cordial, not all of them were comfortable around me. Professor McGonagall was one of the more professional ones, maintaining a strict but respectful distance. Professor Sybill Trelawney, on the other hand, muttered something the moment she laid eyes on me and had avoided me like the plague ever since. Can't say I'm surprised—devils aren't exactly her cup of tea. But it was Professor Filius Flitwick who quickly became my favorite. Unlike the others, Flitwick wasn't intimidated by my race. He was open-minded and saw my appearance as potential for what it was—magic, just like any other. He was more curious than afraid, and I appreciated that.

And then, there was Severus Snape. The man was sharp—wary of me from the start. I could see it in his eyes, the way he assessed me whenever we crossed paths. Smart move on his part. Snape was no fool; he could sense the power I carried. We hadn't exchanged many words, but I could tell he was watching closely. I didn't mind. A cautious observer is always more useful than a reckless fool.

I leaned back in my chair, glancing toward the door. Yubellena had gone off to explore more of the school and mingle with the professors, leaving me to my thoughts. As much as I enjoyed Hogwarts, I still had to keep up my training. Yubellena and I had spent many evenings comparing the magic of wizards and devils, trying to understand the differences in how both races accessed and manipulated magical energy. It was a fascinating puzzle.

Wizards, as far as I could tell, were essentially humans who had access to imagination magic. But they were dependent on mediums—wands, staffs, potions. They needed these conduits to bring their magic into reality. In that sense, they were like devils, though devils could manipulate magic more freely without such tools. It was almost amusing to watch them limit themselves, unaware of their own potential.

It made me wonder if any of them had ever tapped into Touki, the life force energy that beastmen and high-level martial artists use. From what I observed, most wizards seemed to have traded off physical prowess for their magical abilities. They lacked the balance that I was accustomed to—where magic and physical strength could be intertwined. I found this discrepancy intriguing, especially when I thought about filling my bishop piece.

Yubellena had been helpful in explaining the ranking system of magicians in this world, which was quite similar to what I already knew from my own experience. She had broken it down into ten tiers, starting from the novice level all the way to the so-called "God of Magic." It was a simple structure, but it made sense, especially when considering the complexity of magic in this world.

1. Novice

2. Apprentice

3. Adept

4. Expert

5. Master

6. High Mage

7. Archmage

8. Grand Archmage

9. Elder Archmage

10. God of Magic

I found the classification of magic itself to be equally interesting. Yubellena had explained the different types of magic in detail, from elemental manipulation—fire, water, air, earth—to more esoteric types like time magic, mind magic, and even dream manipulation. Most wizards seemed to specialize in one or two categories, mastering them over time.

list of magic types:

1. Elemental Magic

Fire Magic – Control of flames, heat, and combustion.

Water Magic – Manipulation of water, ice, and liquids.

Earth Magic – Control over rocks, minerals, and the ground.

Air Magic – Manipulation of wind and atmospheric pressure.

Lightning Magic – Harnessing electrical energy and storms.

2. Nature Magic

Plant Magic – Manipulation of plants, vines, and nature's growth.

Animal Magic – Communing with and controlling animals.

Weather Magic – Control over natural weather patterns (storms, rain, etc.).

Beast Shapeshifting – Transforming into animals or beasts.

Healing Magic – Utilizing nature's energy to restore health.

Spatial Magic – Warping space, teleportation, and creating portals.

Forcefield Magic – Generating barriers, shields, and protective fields.

Kinetic Magic – Manipulation of motion and force (pushing/pulling objects).

4. Light Magic

Holy Magic – Divine magic for healing, purifying, and smiting evil.

Illumination Magic – Manipulation of light to create brightness, illusions, or blinding attacks.

Solar Magic – Drawing energy from the sun for powerful, radiant spells.

Blessing Magic – Bestowing divine protection, strength, or luck on others.

5. Dark Magic

Necromancy – Raising the dead, controlling undead, and communicating with spirits.

Shadow Magic – Manipulation of shadows and darkness for stealth, control, or attacks.

Curse Magic – Casting negative effects on others, such as bad luck or illness.

Blood Magic – Utilizing blood (often one's own or others') to cast powerful and forbidden spells.

6. Other Magic

Mind Magic – Control over thoughts, emotions, and mental manipulation.

Illusion Magic – Creating false images or altering perception.

Sound Magic – Manipulating sound waves, music, and vibrations.

Alchemy – The transmutation of materials and substances through magic.

Runic Magic – Utilizing magical symbols and runes to cast spells or enchant objects.

Arcane Magic – General manipulation of raw magical energy, often the basis for other schools.

Chaos Magic – Harnessing unpredictable and unstable energies for highly destructive or random effects.

Dream Magic – Manipulating dreams, sleep, and the dream realm.

all that don't fell in first 5 get put in the other categories

I had decided to focus my attention on fire magic and wind magic for now. Fire, of course, came naturally to me as a member of the Phoenix clan. Wind magic, on the other hand, intrigued me for its versatility.

and the power requirement tied to tiers

At the lowest tiers, wizards could only affect their immediate surroundings—small localized effects, nothing more than what a novice magician could do. But as they advanced, their power expanded. The higher the tier, the larger the scale of their magic. Battlefield-sized spells, city-wide effects, even regional and planetary-level spells. It all depended on how much energy they could manipulate and control.

Power Requirements and Area of Effect:

Low-rank

Tier 1-2 : Small localized effects (up to 5 meters), manipulating individual objects and targets.

Mid-rank

Tier 3-4: Battlefield-sized effects (up to 30 meters).

High -rank

Tier 5-6: City-level effects (up to 100 meters).

Ultimate-rank

Tier 7-8: Regional to city-wide effects (up to several kilometers).

satan-rank

Tier 9-10: Continental to planetary-scale effects (hundreds to thousands of kilometers).

It was clear to me that while wizards had great potential, they were often limited by their reliance on tools and the constraints of their own magical systems. Still, there was much to learn from them, and I intended to absorb as much knowledge as I could while I was here.

A knock on the door interrupted my thoughts.

"Come in," I called, knowing it was probably Yubellena.

She entered, her expression thoughtful. "You seem deep in thought, Riser."

"Just reflecting on what we've learned so far," I replied, leaning forward.

She smiled. "And what will you do next?"

"For now, I'll focus on mastering more of their elemental magic—fire and wind. But in the long term... I'm still considering who might be worthy of joining my peerage."

Yubellena tilted her head. "Still set on recruiting someone from here?"

I grinned. "Why not? After all, I didn't come all this way just to watch. I came to find opportunities. And Hogwarts... well, it's full of them."

The next few days would be interesting, to say the least. As the Triwizard Tournament continued to unfold and the challenges grew more dangerous, I would keep observing, learning, and planning. There was no telling what—or who—I might find in this world. But whatever it was, I intended to make it my own.
