"What do you mean?" Minerva asked Shiro in a confused tone.
"Hmm how to put it? Let's say this universe without us in it, was in it's normal state. Let's call it the original timeline. But the moment we appeared here we introduced a foreign element in this universe thus effecting it, even though the effect is not that big. Even so we still created a ripple through the space time, which will continue to become bigger and bigger. This is the reason why I said we are already messing with the timeline no matter how small it is. So rather then starting later why not start early? But there is another reason, another theory which is If all of these are predestined.
"Hmm predestined?" Minerva tilted her head to the right in a slightly thinking pose. "Are you saying all of these happening because it has already happened?"
"Yes. think of it like this us appearing in this universe and taking action, having this conversation may have already happened in this universe's timeline as such we are not actually changing anything we are simply doing something we were suppose to do."
"Yes, that is one of the possibility. But Shiro don't you think it's..."
"Yes, I know it's very unlikely that it's the last one. But there is the possibility that our messing with this timeline has caused another alternate timeline to appear preserving it in it's original state. But nevertheless it does not change the fact that I am going to do what I was going to do. But I won't let them catch our trail this early in the game. So don't worry about it too much." Shiro stayed strong in his decision to removing the orbiters from Mars and assured Minerva.
"Sigh. I guess I can't change your mind in this." Minerva gave up changing Shiro's mind. "Then tell me how are you going to cover our tracks?"
"Solar flare"
"Solar flare?" Minerva tilted her head in puzzlement.
"Yes solar flare. Think of it, if a strong enough solar flare hit everything on and around Mars wouldn't that make it seem natural?" Shiro looked at Minerva while giving her a mischievous smile.
"Shiro that's a great idea but how will you do that?"
"Seems interesting."
"Such a solar flare will not simply effect Mars alone, it'll effect other objects around space. And from my database I can not find any record of such a strong solar flare during this time period." Minerva expressed her doubt as she can't find any record of a strong enough solar flare during this time period in the ship's database.
"Right there is no solar flare happening during this time." Shiro agreed with Minerva.
""Then how."" Both Rin and Arturia tilted their heads sideways as they couldn't understand what Shiro was planning.
"There is no strong solar flare happening around this time now. But there will be one soon."
"Ahhhh!! Mou stop going around circle and just tell us." Rin got mad as Shiro was not answering them straightly. Arturia also pouted and looked at Shiro angrily.
"Hahaha... alright alright, I'll explain. As Minerva said no such strong flares will be happening in the near future. Which, truth be told I did not know. Even if I knew it wouldn't have changed anything." Shiro confirmed as he was not checking in with the records he actually did not know about the past solar flare timings. "Actually we don't need a solar flare happening naturally, we just have to create one artificially."
"What!!! How are we even capable of doing that? Minerva please tell me." Rin became speechless at Shiro's idea and looked at Minerva.
"Unfortunately we don't have such capabilities. Shiro I would also like to know how you are going to do it actually.?" Minerva confirmed that Aurora does not have any capability to do such a task. As it was impossible for anyone to do such a thing. As such she looked at Shiro hoping for answers.
"I did not expect us to have such capabilities. So do not worry. We will definitely create a solar flare artificially, that's for sure. But we will have to resort to tricks."
