Sweaty Manager

After giving Harry an earful she saw a tall male figure emerge from the shadows wearing a perfectly fitted Navy coloured suit with black pants which matched his channel shoes, the whole look complemented his curly hair and blue eyes. Kylie's jaws dropped as she saw the handsome Lord gracing her with his presence was Mark, her plain sweatshirt manager.

In her head, she thought Mark was kidnapped and was replaced by a futuristic robot that was sent to kill her with his good looks. She even slapped herself twice to make sure she wasn't daydreaming

"How about that lunch Ms kylie?" he asked in the most captivating voice.

"What...what" she gushed as she almost tripped on the Mable flooring.

"What's wrong Kylie?"

"Nothing, just never thought you could look this good, you 19-year-old devil" She forgot about the hypertension she gave the poor manager.

"Madam" a sweaty man came in running.

"Madam, we are sorry for the inconvenience, madam we'll fix all of this" he continued.

"You should be, but some wine on the house should do the trick"

"Yes madam, we'll have your room cleaned out" he suggests while sweating profusely

"There's no need for that, I'm kinda in the middle of something so do you mind and don't forget to shut the door on your way out"

"Yes madam, we're sorry once again madam" he bows as he leaves the room.

- Oh why did this so-called hotel manager have to come spoil the mood, just when things were getting interesting - Kylie thought.

"Take a seat," Mark said as he pulled out a chair for Kylie. They both sat and then started having lunch. However, it felt more like a romantic candlelight dinner instead of two people having lunch cause the only source of light was the beautiful coloured candles.

"Why all of this?" Her expressions clearly stated they she wasn't expecting all of that.

"Well there're quite several reasons, first of all, you recently signed a big contract, plus you're not an outdoorsy type you are someone who would prefer to stay indoors and binge-watch movies on Netflix instead so I just thought of doing something small and intimate to celebrate since your family couldn't be here" he explained as he bit down on his food.

Kylie was moved by his kind and thoughtful gesture.

"How about we make this a tradition?" She offered.

"Tradition?" He replied in confusion.

"Yes a tradition, with every big accomplishment of mine, you dress up as a handsome Lord and we have lunch together. Deal? " She elaborated as she put her hand forward

He giggled a bit at her suggestion but later agreed "Okay"

"Deal" They both shake hands

-I will sign big deals more often- she thought

"What are you thinking about?"

"Nothing," Kylie said a little flustered

"By the way where will you be sleeping tonight," Kylie asked as she finished the last bit of food on her plate.

"The hotel was fully booked by the time I arrived so I was...." he hesitated a bit he wasn't sure whether to say this, what if she misunderstood him

"...hoping to stay here with you tonight"

"I promise not to be a bother, I can sleep on the sofa... if you don't mind" he immediately added, and a sudden silence filled the air. He looked around the room to cover up his awkwardness.

Kylie blinked a few times at his sudden question before giggling a little bit, it was quite a sight seeing Mark all flustered like this

"Sure... no problem."

Mark let out a sigh of relief he hadn't realised he was holding his breath

"Thanks"
