It had taken two days for Erik to wake up and the first thing that he saw was his wife, Selena's, sleeping face. The witch had slept while using his chest as a pillow. Something that had been a common occurrence. He then closed his eyes again and started to dive inside his mind and body to verify how it was. Immediately Erik noticed that his body was again back at its peak form and some things were different on it. His bones were more durable and his muscles were more densely packed. And that was not all. Every cell of his body now contained its own magic reserve that was strengthening it to a whole new level. Overall, Erik estimated that his physical strength went up from three to five times.
Next, Erik dived in to check his pool of magic, his mana. And it was a shock for him, but one that he was expecting. His personal magic reserves had gone up by five times. If before he could cast about fifty siege breaker spells, one of the more taxing spells that exist in this time, now he would be able to cast two hundred and fifty of them and not be even winded. 'How could he?' You would ask. Well, the speed at which he filled back his reserves of magic has gone up by a lot. He estimated that now he could keep the flight magecraft spell up all the time if he wanted and that was a demanding spell to keep always on without a flight artifact.
Erik's mind was brought back to the 'outside' world when he felt Selena moving on top of him. He opened his eyes and found his wife waking up. Selena had her eyes still half-closed when they looked up and saw Erik's stormy gray eyes looking lovingly at her. That immediately finished waking her up.
"Erik!"
Selena said while properly getting up from the chest of her husband and 'properly' mounting him.
"Hey, beautiful."
Erik said to Selena while smiling, who stopped and smiled back at him.
"Hey, handsome."
Selena replies to Erik, giving him a smile of her own.
"You slept for two days."
Selena says to Erik.
"It must have been my body getting used to the changes."
Erik replies to Selena.
"What changes? I mean, I can see that your body got younger, back to its peak, but aside from that, I can't see anything more."
Selena says to Erik, while touching his chest, caressing it lovingly.
"Hmm… I suppose that you would not be able to see it. What happened to my body is…"
Erik then started to tell Selena about all the changes that he had found in his body. To demonstrate, Erik cast the flying magecraft spell and started to float above the bed with Selena still on top of him.
"... and I'm feeling no strain at all. It's almost as if the flying magecraft spell was made to be used freely by high-humans because of its cost."
Erik finished saying and floated back to the bed.
"By the way, Erik, you are late."
Selena said when they landed back on the bed.
"Late for what? I thought that we had been sure to not schedule anything for the next few weeks in preparation for the ritual."
Erik said to Selena in confusion. Selena giggled at that.
"You are two days late for your duty as my husband."
Selena replied in a husky voice while eyeing Erik hungrily. The man's only answer was to smirk at Selena, hug her body closer to his, and invert their positions on the bed. With him now on top and in the middle of Selena's legs, Erik started his 'attack'.
Three hours later, Selena was a puddle in their beds, sleeping in bliss, while Erik was ready to continue his duty.
"It seems that I will have to train the control over my strength."
Erik murmured while remembering what had happened during the past three hours.

Later that day, during lunchtime, Selena was already up and the couple was having their lunch in their quarters.
"So, what happened after I finished the chanting of the ritual? I remember only some kind of force locking into me, then it's all blank."
Erik asked Selena.
"Hmm… There was some kind of presence there. I can't describe it with words but it made me feel so small and insignificant. Like I was just a grain of sand in a gigantic desert…"
Selena said to Erik, who was listening to her tale with double the attention.
"... And then, as suddenly as it came, it was gone. The clouds started to dissipate and I ran to you. I didn't have much time to celebrate or investigate after because the wards that we had set up warned me of incoming magic transportation. So I got you, started the timed erasing procedure, and activated the port-key back to our room."
Selena said, finishing her 'report' to Erik, who nodded his head in understanding.
"So the ritual did get the attention of people of the supernatural factions. Any news if the wizards got anything?"
Erik said and asked Selena, who shook her head negatively.
"No. I checked for rumors or people asking questions after you were safe back here, but no one anywhere felt anything. And it really does not surprise me. The wizards with the tools to notice something don't tend to notice anything and yet they think that they are the gift of the goddess to the world."
Selena said after taking a sip of her glass of cup juice. The scowl on her face was very pronounced, getting a chuckle out of Erik. They continued their lunch but there was one thing that Erik had left to test.
"While you are sleeping, you are welcome by the way…"
Erik started with a smirk on his face that made Selena blush like a little girl remembering their lovemaking session in the morning.
"... I tested my magic and found that in general, my magic is flowing much better through my body. Like it was made to be a conductor to magic. But I have yet to test the effects that the ritual had on my sacred gear, and I plan to test it this afternoon."
Erik said to Selena, who nodded her head. Erik had told her about his sacred gear when they were just engaged. The concept of something that is attached to your soul when you are born is still somewhat strange for Selena, and that Erik has one that has one of the strongest potentials is even more strange but she doesn't love him any less for that. Erik is still Erik at the end.
"Do you want me to help you?"
Selena asked her husband, who shook his head at her.
" It will not be necessary. I will just erect a set of concealing wards somewhere remote and do my tests there."
Erik replied to Selena, who nodded her head confirming that she had heard him. After lunch was finished, Selena went back to her research laboratory to continue her research while Erik apparated away to start his tests.

Erik appeared with a soft 'crack' sound on an open field. He then started to cast the flying magecraft spell. Erik took his time with the cast, he wanted to analyze and get the 'feel' of his magic flowing within his body. A thin layer of blue light started to slowly manifest itself around his body, and when the spell was ready, Erik started to float and the blue light around his body had disappeared. He then applied a disillusionment spell on himself and started to fly away in a random direction.
And boy, he was fast. Erik calculated that he was flying at around four hundred kilometers per hour and this was not even his top speed, he could feel it. But since he didn't want to get other people's attention, he decided to keep his speed low to keep the disillusionment spell up.
After some minutes flying and noticing that he was recovering magic at a higher rate than he spent flying, Erik landed and started to prepare the casting of his set of concealment wards.
A minute later, done with the wards, he walked to the center of them and started to concentrate on using the power of his sacred gear. He quickly found that it was way easier to use it now than it was before. Erik started with creating a 'dumb and big' monster. And before the process could be finished, he stopped it abruptly. The Annihilation Maker had just inserted some new knowledge into his head. Knowledge about its next state of power, the Balance Breaker.
Erik started to smile like a loon at that and started to channel his power. He spent a good chunk of his magic on it but in the end, he managed to create what he wanted. A micro-monster. Erik could not see it with his eyes, but he could feel his connection with it through his sacred gear. He was happy. That opened so many possibilities for him. He would have to explore them cautiously. After all, he didn't want to create some kind of hyper-virus that could wipe the entire planet's population. Oh, who was he trying to trick with that? Of course, that was the kind of thing that he wanted to create, but he would have to be very certain that his monsters could not be controlled by others or better, that others could not control him. But first, he had to test how much time his creation would last and how many he could have active at the same time.
