188 Chapter 188: Nine Shades of Foxtails

It didn't take long for Kunou's sobs to get lower and lower and soon enough, she had fallen asleep on Yasaka's bosom. The mature nine-tailed fox gestured to Erik to follow her and started to walk through the palace hallways in silence. After a little walk, she approached a door to a room and, while still holding Kunou in her arms, opened it with the use of her tails, entering it just after. Erik stood by the door's side, waiting for Yasaka to come back, but got to peek at the interior of the room a little and by the decoration that he saw around it, all indicated it to be Kunou's room.

A minute later, Yasaka was back and silently closed the door. She then looked at Erik and gave the man a small bow.

"Thank you for taking care of my Kunou. I don't know what would have happened to me if I lost her."

Yasaka said to Erik with sincere gratitude.

"Your welcome, Yasaka. Kunou is a very sweet child. I would hate to see anything happen to her."

Erik replied to Yasaka, who smiled widely at him.

"Can you make me company while we drink and tell me what happened tonight? I mean, I felt that some battle happened in the town, but since you were there, I didn't send my people to investigate."

Yasaka asked Erik, who looked at his wristwatch and nodded his head.

"I would love to, Yasaka."

Erik replied after checking the time. He was supposed to report back to the hotel to keep an eye on the kids during the night, but he could always use his time-turner and go back 'later'.

"Great! Then, if you would follow me again, please~"

Yasaka replied with some enthusiasm. In truth, she had just changed clothes to join Erik and Kunou at the festival when she felt the first ripples of magic energy from an unknown source. Soon after, she felt it again but this time it was coming from a source that she knew very well. Deciding that Erik was enough to take care of whatever was happening and keep Kunou safe, she just waited in her leader's chambers for everything to be solved after warning her people. Some minutes later, she felt the familiar life signature of the man that she wanted as her new mate suddenly appear in the front of her palace, making her temperature rise internally with the show of pure power. And that brought them here and now. Yasaka, after replying to Erik, walked in front of him to guide them to the gardens. Erik followed behind Yasaka silently while already being moderately aware of the mature's beauty plans. His sensitive nose had caught the tantalizing smell that Yasaka was releasing while her nine majestic tails danced from one side to the other in a seductive way that mirrored the movement of her hips.

It didn't take long for them to arrive at the private garden of the palace. Erik, for sure, had not seen time pass in the short walk while being guided by Yasaka to a small gazebo. Soon enough, both adults had taken their seats with Yasaka serving them some sake. Time quickly passed by with Erik telling Yasaka what had happened in the festival and the 'plans' that the self-named Hero faction had for Kunou and her. During the fights, while everyone was distracted, Erik entered the mind of some members of said faction and got all the information that he wanted from them. It was enough for Erik to just kill Cao Cao and be done with it, but as he had said to the young man, he would prefer to not battle the god-king of the Hindu pantheon in the middle of a city full of innocent bystanders. Indra would surely not care about collateral damage.

To say that Yasaka was pissed was an understatement. She was livid. Yasaka didn't care much for what plans they had for her, but the fact that they wanted to use her kit against her made her blood boil. Erik then continued to tell what more he knew about the group, making the woman let out a tired sight of defeat when she heard that Indra was their patron.

*sigh*

She would have to talk with Amaterasu about that, but for now, Yasaka contented herself with drinking cup after cup of sake and enjoying Erik's company. It didn't take long too for the inhibitions of the mature beauty to be lifted by the excess of alcohol, making Yasaka jump at Erik.

"Come on, my lord. Just feeling your power earlier made me all hot and bothered. Am I not good enough for you?"

"Yes. They said something about you not giving them time to rest late at night."

Yasaka replied to Erik. Her tails were already embracing Erik's body while she pressed her seductive and mature body even more on his. The next day in Kyoto was the last one for the students of the second year from Kuoh high school, and being so, it was a free day for all to enjoy. The teenagers that fought against the Hero faction would-be-kidnappers received, from the mouth of Erik, an invitation to have lunch at Kyoto's castle, also known as the Yokai's palace, coming from Kunou's mother, Yasaka. The teens, wanting very much to know the Yokai part of the town, accepted the invitation.

The lunch that was offered had nothing of the traditional-sized portion that a person would expect to find in other places. Yasaka had gone all out to thank the teenagers for their help in protecting her daughter and had ordered a bonafide feast to be served. During lunch, the teenagers asked Yasaka about how the Yokai faction worked out of curiosity and were promptly answered by her with an overall structure of the working of her faction. The conversation was light and the food delicious with Kunou's happiness infecting everyone around.

The cute little blonde had immediately noticed the difference in her mother in the morning even if she didn't know the reason behind it yet. She just knew something good had happened because her mother had her uncle Erik's scent all over. Her doubts were answered when she saw Erik arrive for lunch while accompanying the big brothers and big sisters that helped yesterday. One look at him and she knew that she now would be changing the way that she called Erik from 'uncle' to 'papa', which was marvelous to her.

Back at Kuoh, time again started to pass quickly. The Alliance, which was how the alliance between the four factions was being called by all, had announced a date for the start of their Rating Games together with a future tournament in the same format that would be free for all to join. That news sent some waves through the supernatural world where the more competitive folks saw in it an opportunity to fight freely against people from other factions and pantheons without causing a war.

While that was happening, Rias Gremory and Sona Sitri had their official debut in the Devils' Rating Games. Both heiresses had won their matches, showing to all who saw that even with incomplete peerages, they were strong.

Within Erik's family, Roney Ravenclaw, Erik and Serafall's son, had a fit when only he had been offered a set of Evil Pieces, with his other three siblings that were Devils being offered nothing. The teenager, in a fit of righteous fury and indignation, went online on the video-sharing platform of the Underworld and uploaded a video where he refused the 'kind' offer from the Elder's Council while citing his reasons for it. His video went viral in a matter of hours, raising a shitstorm for the Elder's Council with the normal population. With it, other questions were soon raised and the four Satans took the opportunity where the Elder's Council were busy trying to calm the people down to throw the 'shit' in the fan by sneakily revealing the existence of the extra King Evil Piece that only some people were allowed to receive.
