I immediately checked the party down below to see if she was there. I had not sensed her though, I had made myself fully aware of her making sure I remember her scent, and even her presence should have been enough for me to sense her. Demons are really good at sensing people.
There were women swarming the party, many of them beautiful, and ethereal, but none of them were her. She must be using an enchantment to hide her presence or I would have caught her. How will I be able to find out who she is? I have only ever seen her covered in a cape and a mask.
There were two more birds making their way toward me. She is still here in the party. One of the birds exploded and I caught the paper this time before it fell.
YOU LOOK HANDSOME IN THE SUIT. IF YOU HAD WORN IT THE OTHER DAY, I WOULDN'T HAVE LOCKED YOU IN THE ROOM.
The note said, there is no doubt that it was her now. As soon as I finished reading the words vanished and new words appeared.
FOLLOW THE BIRD.
Even after she had locked me in a room last time, I saw her. I followed the bird if it meant I will get to see her again. After that day I had searched for her like always, but there was nothing.
Fortunately, I found out about Andras. Though I might be wrong, he might not be the one giving her missions. I do not want to lose the opportunity to lose her. I even joined the office to find information on her. They had even less information on her than I had. It was a waste of time.
The bird led me through several corridors, sometimes it would go and perch on a windowsill testing my patience, she was having fun playing with me. When it happened for the third time, I grabbed the bird in my hand squeezing it threateningly until it burst into flames, two more birds appeared immediately one of them chirping angrily it flew towards me at full speed, crashing on top of my head, a paper falling in front of me, she did not just do that to me.
THAT WAS RUDE.
The note said she was watching me. She must have found out who I am if she followed me here. Still, she dared to behave like this. Such confidence, or is it arrogance, I will have her in my hands soon enough, then she will find the consequences of her actions. I followed the remaining bird as it led me into a dark room.
There was only a small lantern lit in the room, nothing but a silhouette of her was visible as she stood leaning on the window with her back to me. I stood near the door making sure that this time she would not be able to lock me up in here. I was being ridiculed by my friends enough as it is. Ison made sure everyone knew about it, as soon as he possibly can.
They had been endlessly mocking me about it. And somehow, she had become their favorite person. All they could talk about was her, I have been hearing endless praises of her daring, how powerful she is to trick me like that, how beautiful she must be. I was also curious about the last one.
With a snap of my fingers, all the lanterns in the room lit up providing me a full view of what stood in front of me. My breath caught as I looked her over, it was my first time looking at her without a cape, a demoness stood there leaning on the window wearing a mask.
This mask was different from the usual mask she wears, it only covered the upper half of her face, leave for her mischievously glinting eyes and her full lips painted a deep red, her black dress hugging her curves in all the right places, with a slit that reveals just enough leg to be tantalizing.
Those curves had me staring shamelessly, if she went killing without the cape on, I bet her victims will willingly lay there as she take their life.
Her long, red hair cascaded down her back in loose waves, framing her face, I restrained myself from going to her, to move those red strands away and remove the mask to see how she would look without it. Despite the mask hiding her features, her beauty was undeniable. Her red skin glowed in contrast to the dress.
It was hard to look away from her, I was glad to find her staring at me unable to take her eyes off of me like I was staring at her. Her eyes stopped and looked for a bit longer when they saw my open shirt, she gulped her mouth falling open. I should have opened a few more buttons, I puffed up my chest to make sure she is getting a good view.
"Is this why you called me here? to stare at me?" I asked, with a smirk.
"Why else did you think?" she replied as she continued staring at me. she is getting bolder, or maybe she already was. "I wasn't getting a good view of you at the party," she said staring into my eyes.
"Maybe I should come closer to you, so you can take a better look," I said taking a step closer and moving my suit jacket away to give her a better look.
"Don't move," she shouted. A snap sounded and a flash went, I was so shocked it took me a minute to catch up with what just happened. Did she just take a picture of me? My mouth fell open as she stood there looking at her phone. she did take a picture of me.
when she saw my perplexed expression, "I could not find any pictures of you online." she said as a form of explanation and vanished from in front of me. I stood there staring at the empty space she was just in. Is she for real? a surprised laugh escaped me.
She is crazy.
