Hiding from my Demon Prince

"Once I get my hands on you. You will beg me, on your knees..." "Huh? I was sure it would be you who would be on your knees begging me. Pretty boy." I said, interrupting him. The look on his face brought a very sweet smile to my face which unfortunately he can't see, as I am wearing a mask. He was upon me, he was fast. I was pinned to the car, the weight of his body pressing into me. his one hand pressing the blade against my throat, while the other has my hands restricted. This close he looked even more handsome. "Are you sure? Little bird. You are caught pretty easily for someone who talks like that." A laugh escaped me, it made me notice all the places he was pressed in. did he think he caught me? How naïve, doesn't he know who I am?  One second, he was pressed into me in the next I vanished, for a witch traveling from one place to other through teleporting is really easy. Lucky that I am a part witch. Though no one will suspect that I am a hybrid as there are many charms available in the market that makes teleporting possible for other creatures. It took a moment for him to realize it. That moment of surprise cost him as I appeared behind him, somehow, he was able to sense me and turn just in time, but he was too late and two of my blades were pressed against his throat. "Who is caught now, pretty boy?" I was surprised to see the excitement in his eyes instead of anger. This was dragging a bit too far I have something more important than this "as much as I like to make you beg, I have to go. Know that you will never be able to catch me. Pretty boy." and I was gone. He doesn't like strawberries

While I was awkwardly sitting beside Rivenn, trying not to show my fear, Onyx was spread out on one of the benches opposite me with no care in the world.

Prince Rivenn gestured with his hand to the nearest maid that was standing just outside the gazebo. I was instantly alert thinking it was an order to arrest me and throw me in the dungeon.

Riven's gesture was met with a flurry of activity from the palace servants, who immediately sprang into action. Within minutes there were maids parading down the garden with trays. I was shocked to find the trays filled with sweets. They scurried back and forth from the kitchens; each one is laden with an array of confections that would make any sweet toothache with delight.

First, to arrive were trays piled high with delicate, flaky pastries, each one bursting with a variety of fillings that ranged from tart berries to rich, creamy custards. The aroma of fresh-baked dough filled the air, tempting even those who claimed not to have a sweet tooth. My mouth watered at the beautiful sight in front of me.

Following closely behind the pastries were platters of intricately decorated cupcakes, each one adorned with swirls of buttercream frosting in a rainbow of colors. The flavors were just as diverse, with some cupcakes boasting fruity fillings and others hiding surprises like bits of chocolate or nuts.

As the trays continued to arrive, the spread grew even more extravagant. There were towers of fluffy macarons in a rainbow of hues, glistening fruit tarts that sparkled with fresh glazes, and delicate petit fours that were almost too pretty to eat.

The trays were arranged in an artful display in the center of the gazebo, each one overflowing with treats that begged to be sampled. It was a feast for the eyes as well as the taste buds. The trays of sweets only stopped when there was no space left on the table. I was bursting with a barely concealed desire to eat them. I will not degrade myself by doing that, so I refrained, leaning back with poise.

"I didn't know which flavor you would like so I had them prepare everything," Rivenn said as he leaned towards me, making me speechless, forgetting the sweets, I focused my wide eyes on him. Am I hearing it right? Did he say he had them prepare all that for me?

When he said everything, he meant everything, the table was filled to the brim with all kinds of sweets. It was like I was in a bakery; I should have stayed in the castle with Leo when I had the chance. If I had known then that I could just order the cooks to make me a feast like this. Then I would have definitely stayed in the castle.

"When I saw you in the café with pastries, I assumed you liked them. Why are you not eating them." Prince Rivenn was frowning looking confused. "Do you not like them?" I guess he was amused by me at the café for taking the pastries away. That must be the reason why he was doing this.

"I do, I love them, thank you." I hurried to take one out of the tray. I don't think he will do anything to me. He looks like a nice guy, with a pretty smile. He looks young though. How old is he? It might be because he is an elf, though all the elves look young, they have a youthfulness to them. Like vampires, they are sort of immortal. They have really long lives. With incredibly beautiful features.

"No wonder, you look like that." an ethereal voice said. I turned to find Princess Seraphina frowning at me. Did she just call me fat? I hate it that even her voice was pretty. I was healthy without an inch of fat on me. Even when I do not work out, Nyx does, she trains intensely, every day. Sometimes I feel bad that all the hard work is done by Nyx while I learn the same skills and get the same results as her. The perks of having the same body, I guess.

The thing is she needs to train because if she doesn't it will put both of us in danger. I also contribute something to our shared body, I make sure to eat all the things she does not, and make sure to read all the books that keep us intelligent so don't judge me.

Even when Princess Seraphina was insulting me, she looked really pretty. She was incredibly thin, more like lean, but it was genetic in elves, all the elves are lean. It gives her an unwanted advantage.

She abruptly turned away from me scoffing, leaving me confused. From the corner of my eye, I saw Rivenn glaring at her. It might be a trick of light because When I fully turned towards him, he was smiling, a bright smile that has me melting. He was bright like sunlight.

I took a bite of the cake, I almost moaned as it melted right on my tongue it was heaven. When I opened my eyes to find myself back on the gazebo, I was startled to find Rivenn staring at me. He was leaning on his palm towards me, staring at me with his piercing blue eyes.

"Have one." I offered him the red cupcake; it was strawberry flavored. It was rude of me to eat while they were not having anything.

"Sure," he said smiling, taking the tray out of my hand.

"He doesn't like strawberries," Seraphina said as Rivenn took a bite of the cupcake.

"I do now," he said to her with a slight warning tone. his blue eyes found mine again. as he took another bite and another. finishing the whole thing.

why do I have a feeling that he might... I don't think so. no, it can't be. Did he somehow find out that I am Nyx?
