Chapter 1: Little devil

<p>The pungent stench of blood wafted in the air; Rusty and foul. A pile of dead bodies formed a mountain of corpses, and blood incessantly flowed. Beneath the mountain of bloody corpses, a child no older than ten was kneeling, his face buried in his small palms as he silently sobbed.<br/><br/>The flags had been raised, the war was over yet the terrifying screams and cries of those who had died in vain still echoed in the distance.<br/>The dawn finally broke through the horizon shining on the burnt houses. the once wide fields were now filled with corpses and the clear rivers turned into a river of blood. The scene was truly gruesome and inhumane.<br/><br/>The child kneeled in front of a mutated body that no one, except for the child, would recognize. This was the body of the child's relative.<br/><br/>A soldier garbed in heavy armor roamed to check the surroundings for survivors. After seeing not a single soul, he decided to leave as soon as possible for he felt uneasy just by seeing the gruesome scene yet who knew the moment he ushered his horse to turn around, a hoarse cry of a child would enter his ears.<br/><br/>The soldier's pale face paled even more and he started to violently usher the horse to run.<br/> As he did, the child happened to raise his head and saw the retreating back of the soldier, his eyes flashed with a cold glint.<br/><br/>The soldier arrived at their temporary camp and immediately reported :<br/>"General! general! A survivor has been spotted! " <br/><br/>A year after the devastating war, turns out that not only that particular populated vast town was wiped out, but there were also six other main cities in all directions that were wiped out leaving no survivors behind. This resulted in the state of the nation suffering a great loss and a shortage of daily necessities such as food, clothes, and such. The main businesses there range from silk to raw products and food products which happened to be located in and out of the bustling city. In other words, the main income of the region came mostly from the main cities. Thus, when the war erupted, the production of supplies came to an abrupt stop affecting the whole country.<br/><br/>In the second year, the mentioned goods were even harder to come by. Needless to say, people were rioting to the point of killing each other regardless if they were man or woman, young or old, all were wrongly pushed aside.<br/><br/>Third year.<br/><br/>Laws, reason, logic, and dignity were no longer used by the remaining people of the once-great country. In this dark era, many people have lost their lives to their people in vain, the goods distributed by the government were no longer sufficient and civilization had long since declined. Due to hunger, some decided to satisfy flesh with flesh and quench thirst with mud and blood and soon, another turmoil inevitably started.<br/><br/>Cannibalism<br/><br/>Massacre<br/><br/>4 years later<br/><br/>After the incident that took place right after a previous devastating war, the nation suddenly and miraculously gained its stability. With a stronger backbone assisting the Jinx country, the said country began to rise and regain the law that was lost in war.<br/><br/>Everything happened in a flash. In just a blink of an eye, everything and everyone seemed normal. However, it cannot be denied that a lot has changed and improved. <br/><br/>And this is where the story begins<br/><br/>With a cup at hand, would you sacrifice wealth and luxury for a cup of refreshing hot tea?</p>
