Mr. Kens Is Already Waiting for You

"I see." Claire nodded.

She walked into the dining hall and found that it was empty. She then walked to the side hall and saw no one. In the end, she walked into the small living room and found Asher.

When Asher saw her, his eyelids twitched slightly.

Claire was cursing at him silently–was he playing hide and seek? Why would he come to the small living room? However, Claire hid her thoughts and smiled at him brightly. "Hello, President Kens."

Asher raised his chin. "Sit."

Claire gracefully sat down opposite him. The faint smell of cigarettes in the air entered her nostrils. 

Just as she sat down, Asher asked, "Why are you back only now? Where did you go?"

"Huh? I… I didn't go anywhere."

Asher looked at her. "You left the office before me."

Claire got riled up all of a sudden. "President Kens, you drove here while I took the subway, bus, and walked some distance before reaching. Is our journey even comparable?"
