Chapter ten

[Ghost Market.]

"Wu Jie." Ling Wang smiled, "It's been a while."

The person called Wu Jie is named Aung Wu-Yin. She's a ghost, the ghost King.

"San Ge." Aung Wu-Yin greeted, "What brings you to the ghost market, it's been three hundred years."

"It has." Ling Wang snorted, "Did you have what I asked for?"

"I do, San Ge, but you have to give me credit—it was hard to find such a thing, especially Xiao Sa's sword of all things." Aung Wu-Yin remarked, "But here it is, [Destroyer] in all its glory."

Ling Wang smiled, "This should keep him busy for a while."

"San Ge, you don't intend to tell Xiao Sa about anything you are planning?" Aung Wu-Yin inquired.

"If I did that, he wouldn't have approved of me doing any of it." Ling Wang remarked, "Though Xiao Sa doesn't have his memories, his temperament and feelings are still the same, after all—how could it change so much in such a short amount of time."

"Oh." Aung Wu-Yin said, "San Ge, knowing your skills. This isn't a simple matter, but then again, I have heard a rumor, that Duke Chang is starting to try and claim more power in court. San Ge, you simply can't allow this—Duke Chang has ambitions of ridding anyone who isn't human."

"Wu Jie, everything shall be handled." Ling Wang chuckled, "There's a reason for everything."

Aung Wu-Yin's eyes darted, "San Ge, be careful after all, Qi Zhu isn't here right now."

"Hmm, Sa Jie isn't here?" Ling Wang inquired, "Where else could she be?"

"Likely off-treating people, like usually is." Aung Wu-Yin remarked, "It's getting late at night, shouldn't Xiao Sa be checking on you by now?"

"Him? He's too busy." Ling Wang chuckled, "Otherwise, you think I would bother with him?"

[Sixth Prince Palace]

Ling Wang sighed, "Xiao Sa, what are you doing? The sword isn't for me, it's for you. But since you're going to be learning swordsmanship, I'll teach you a style that's fitting for you."

"San Ge." Yin Liu spoke, "Why are we practicing at night?"

"Because the darkness is always an advantage more than a disrespectful means to ourselves." Ling Wang explained, "This style has three forms of attack, and no means to defend, the only means to learn this style is to be indifferent and never waver—it's called [Indifferent Temperament style] I created it for myself, but I don't even use a sword that often, it's better suited for you."

Ling Wang sat down in the chair, "Xiao Sa, you better use this, the manual will help with getting the basics down, don't you have a sword competition soon? Huang Jong likely doesn't suspect a thing, but the Other Wang Aye's are going to be cunning and up something with their hidden hands, at least it is better to make assumptions and be pardoned than risk everything on a big gamble."

"San Ge…" Yin Liu whispered, "How nice it is indeed."

Yin Liu looked at the sword, (San Ge seems to have given me this sword, but I understand it seems to have a deeper history as well.)

"San Ge, you expected me to be coming again?" Yin Liu inquired.

"It's about the moon's highest rising, something usually happens then." Ling Wang chuckled, "But, that could just me suspecting anything, Xiao Sa—"

Yin Liu's blue eyes suddenly dazzled in the reflection of the moon, "Ling Wang."

Ling Wang's eyes darted, "Y-Yin Liu?"

"Scared as ever." Yin Liu remarked, "What are you afraid of? What have I missed these years? Is Chai Chai still stubborn and cold upfront?"

"Chai Chai is fine." Ling Wang remarked, "We even got a grandson from him, Qing Zin."

"With whom?" Yin Liu inquired.

"Lan Mei Mei." Ling Wang explained, "Master doesn't know about it though, poor Chai Chai as well."

"What about yourself?" Yin Liu inquired, "How Long did it take for you to find me again?"

"Ten thousand years." Ling Wang muttered, "It's not that big of a deal. Compared to some other things, it's rather gentle as well."

"Ling Wang, you think I'm naive as the other one? (Xiao Sa, in this case), I'm not, knowing yourself you already been planning things for so many years, you even visited Er Jie and Wu Jie as well, and mentioned Qi Zhu." Yin Liu explained, "So tell me really what do you intend to do?"

"Me? I aim for the best of the best, but let's start with something simple, I want the Chang Family to suffer a worse life than hell." Ling Wang sneered, "Who knows how many young Spirits have died under their eyes?"

"Qi Zhu, why did the idiot call him here?" Yin Liu inquired.

"To treat me, knowing him, he likely didn't know Qi Zhu was this way, in any case, I imagine even if Qi Zhu did come, she wouldn't treat me. Not unless I told her what caused all of this, and knowing how spiteful she can be, I don't know if it's worth it."

"Qi Zhu is a boy." Yin Liu remarked, "Why are you calling him a girl?"

"Liu, Qi Zhu is a girl, the one you saw was her male form, she's a shapeshifter." Ling Wang snorted, "Makes sense why you would've been confused."
