Yueliang Shen, you useless piece of Sh*t

Chapter - 3

"I am storing my Yang Energy for Yogic Cultivation," Yueliang Shen argued back, his voice laced with frustration and disbelief. He couldn't fathom that she was angry at him for something so sacred, so essential to his very being.

And how much angry was she with him? To actually taunt him on his tool?

Chang'e Li's lips curled into a mocking smile, her eyes glinting with scorn. "Well, you might need all that stored Yang if Chen Haoyu ever decides to strike back. One hit from him and you would be toast, immortal or not," she jabbed, her words hitting Yueliang Shen like a blow to the gut.

"Because you aren't getting to use it on me."

Yueliang Shen was dumbfounded, his mind reeling. How did Chen Haoyu make her so much attracted to him in such a short time? What techniques did he have? His thoughts swirled in a chaotic storm, unable to grasp how everything had fallen apart so quickly.

Meanwhile, Chang'e Li just looked away, her expression a mixture of defiance and regret, as if he were the one who had made a mistake, while she was the one who had actually slept with someone else without even telling him. Fuck! What would even telling him would do? Not like he would be happy about it.

Yueliang Shen's heart sank as the weight of his wife's betrayal settled heavily upon him. He couldn't comprehend how she could have sought solace in another man's arms simply because he was dedicated to his sacred practice. The hurt was unbearable, and now, to add insult to injury, she was hurling blame at him as if he were the one in the wrong.

But there was no going back now. He steeled his heart as he looked at the Moon Goddess.

"You have brought shame upon yourself and even the Sacred Moon Palace with your actions," Yueliang Shen declared, his voice tinged with sorrow as he struggled to maintain his composure. "You may be a powerful immortal, but you are no longer worthy of the title of Moon Goddess."

Chang'e Li's eyes widened in shock, then narrowed with fury. "You can't do this to me, Yueliang Shen," she spat, her voice shaking with rage. "You think stripping me of my title will make you feel better? Will it erase your neglect, your absence? Will it make you a man again?"

Yueliang Shen stood tall, his gaze unwavering. "This is not about me feeling better. This is about maintaining the honor of the Moon Palace, the sanctity of our duties. You violated that."

A tense silence enveloped the room, the weight of their confrontation pressing down on them both. Chang'e Li's breathing was ragged, her chest heaving with a mix of anger and despair. Yueliang Shen felt a pang of regret, but he steeled himself, knowing that he had to follow through with his decision.

"You've always been so obsessed with your duties, Yueliang Shen," Chang'e Li finally said, her voice quieter now, but still edged with bitterness. "Maybe if you had put as much effort into our relationship as you did into your cultivation, things would be different. I wouldn't have found comfort in some other man's arms."

Her words stung, but Yueliang Shen forced himself to remain composed. "Perhaps you are right," he conceded, his voice softening slightly. "But that doesn't excuse what you have done. We are bound by more than just love, Chang'e Li. We have responsibilities, oaths we took to protect and uphold."

"Responsibilities? Oaths?" Chang'e Li's eyes blazed with fury at his judgment, her own anger boiling over as she lashed out in response, "Hahaha, Yueliang Shen… You actually dared to say those words to me."

Yueliang Shen stood rigid, his face a mask of confusion and pain as Chang'e Li continued, her voice ringing with indignation. "What about your responsibilities?" she cried, her voice echoing through the grand hall. "Is it my fault that you've never made me feel like a woman? You're so consumed by your Yogic Cultivation that you've forgotten how to be a husband."

Her words struck the Moon God like a physical blow, each one piercing his heart. He had never imagined that his dedication to his practice would drive such a wedge between them. The realization that he had neglected her in his pursuit of spiritual perfection was a bitter pill to swallow.

But Chang'e Li wasn't finished. With a surge of anger, her Profound Qi erupted forth, sending a wave of energy crashing through the room. The mirror behind Yueliang Shen shattered with a deafening crash, shards of glass scattering like so many broken dreams.

"He made me feel things you never could," she spat, her voice dripping with scorn. "His techniques were beyond anything you could imagine. Just being with him purified my Yin Qi in ways you never could."

Yueliang Shen stood there, stunned into silence by her words. He had thought their bond was unbreakable, a sacred connection forged by love and shared purpose. But now he realized that he had been blind to the cracks forming between them, cracks that had widened into a chasm.

As he looked into his wife's eyes, he saw them filled with anger and resentment, emotions that had been simmering beneath the surface for far too long. The depth of her betrayal and the intensity of her feelings for Chen Haoyu were laid bare, and it shook him to his core.

"Chang'e Li," he began, his voice trembling with emotion. "I never meant to neglect you. I thought... I thought I was doing what was best for us, for our future. To protect you, To protect us and the Moon Palace."

"Best for us?" Chang'e Li scoffed, her laughter bitter. "You were doing what was best for you, the so called most powerful Moon God. Your spiritual journey, your cultivation... they were all that mattered to you. I was just a part of the background, an afterthought."

"I wanted to protect you, to ensure our place in the celestial realm," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "I thought my strength would be enough for both of us."

"Strength?" Chang'e Li sneered. "Strength isn't just about power, Yueliang Shen. It's about understanding, about being there for each other. Chen Haoyu showed me that. He saw me, he appreciated me, and he made me feel alive."

"And what did all these years of burning yourself into cultivation give you? You still could hurt a single hair on Chen Haoyu's head."

"Get lost."

"Still the useless piece of shit you are."
