To Avenge Their Women, the Immortals Rise

Chapter - 7

"But how do we do it?" Amidst the sea of raging adrenaline a sane voice spoke up. And all the over excited Immortals suddenly turned their attention towards Li Mingzhi.

"Chen Haoyu is not an easy target. If we take one wrong step, and he manages to escape. He will hunt us all till the end of our lives," The Immortal continued in a serious manner, not paying much attention to others.

"Calm down, my child. There is always a solution," Li Mingzhi said, his eyes twinkling with a mysterious light, "All we need to do is stick together."

The immortals stared at him with curiosity, their interest piqued. The prospect of finally ridding themselves of Chen Haoyu and living their lives without the constant fear of him defiling their wives or daughters was too tempting to ignore.

"None of us are strong enough to face him individually," Li Mingzhi began to explain further, as he conceded, his voice measured and calm. "Our Profound Qi lacks the necessary strength to defeat him."

A murmur of agreement rippled through the hall, but the old sage wasn't done. "But all of us together can face him and rival his strength, defeating him once and for all."

The hall fell into a deafening silence. Li Mingzhi's words were true, but the risk was enormous. If they failed, the consequences would be dire. Chen Haoyu would hunt them down one by one, toying with them as he pleased, just like the Immortal suggested.

"I think we should do it," After a long drawn silence, Yueliang Shen was the first to speak, his voice filled with determination. "His tyranny has gone beyond limits."

Seeing his initiative, the others slowly joined in, their nods and murmurs of agreement growing louder until the hall was filled with a chorus of approval. It was soon decided: Chen Haoyu would be ambushed by all the immortals at the same time and killed.

"We will corner him in his own castle," Shui Jian said, his voice steady. "That will be our battleground. He will never expect us there. We will block his escape roots, and make his own castle, his graveyard."

"We must be strategic," Li Mingzhi continued, his voice cutting through the murmurs. "We need to catch him off guard. His arrogance will be his downfall. We will strike when he least expects it, during one of his so-called conquests. We need scouts to track his movements, to learn his patterns."

Feng Jun nodded, his body flickering with anticipation. "I can have my phoenixes track him. They are swift and silent, perfect for this task."

"And I can create a barrier to trap him," Shui Jian offered, his eyes glinting with determination. "Once he is cornered, he won't be able to escape."

"Good," Li Mingzhi said, nodding approvingly. "We will need everyone's unique abilities. We will set a trap so inescapable that even Chen Haoyu's cunning cannot save him."

"Remember, this will require all of our strength and coordination," Yueliang Shen added, his gaze sweeping across the room. "We must be prepared to give everything we have. There is no room for error."

The immortals nodded, their faces set with grim determination. They knew the risks, but they also knew that this was their best chance to rid their world of Chen Haoyu's malign influence.

"So, when should we do this ambush, Li Mingzhi?" Yueliang Shen asked, his voice a mix of anticipation and uncertainty.

Li Mingzhi leaned forward, a sly smirk playing on his lips. "What's the problem with right now?"

Yueliang Shen, nodding vigorously, agreed with Li Mingzhi's bold suggestion. "Yes, the sooner, the better." The humiliation he had endured had made it impossible for him to wait a moment longer. Any more delay, and his anger might literally start to make his orifices bleed.

Li Mingzhi's eyes narrowed. "We've been thinking too much already. Every second we wait is another second he has to plot against us."

"Agreed," Feng Jun chimed in, his fiery aura intensifying. "We need to strike now, while our resolve is high and he is least expecting it."

"But who will take the lead?" one Immortal asked, looking around with a furrowed brow. "We're not strong enough to take Chen Haoyu head-on."

"That's... if any one of the esteemed..." Another Immortal glanced towards the Moon God and the other prominent figures in the room, his voice trailing off.

"You're saying...?" Feng Jun's eyebrow arched as he stared down the nervous Immortal.

"Phoenix Lord..." The Immortal shrank back under Feng Jun's intense glare, feeling the weight of his gaze.

Li Mingzhi's audacious suggestion hung in the air, almost palpable. The immortals, stunned, broke their stern silence. Whispers rippled through the room like a disturbed pond. Was this truly the wisest course? They needed a plan, a strategy to counteract Chen Haoyu's uncanny skills... that was the immortal way.

Sensing the tension building, Li Mingzhi decided to fan the flames. He stoked their fear like a blacksmith at a forge. "Every moment he roams free," he hissed, his eyes glittering, "is an insult to our masculinity, to our power! His next target could be your daughter, your wife! Can any of you risk waiting, knowing his trickery and charms? We cannot waste any more time."

The doubt within them began to waver. Chen Haoyu's agility and trickery were undeniable, but what could one man do against the concentrated might of the immortals? A surge of vengeful energy pulsed through the council. Heads that had been bowed in contemplation now lifted, eyes blazing with renewed determination.

"All of us—the Moon God, the Sun Emperor, the Water King, the Phoenix Lord, and myself—we will take the initiative to attack that bastard from all sides. We won't give him any way to escape. And you all..." Li Mingzhi's voice rose, cutting through the murmurs, "I hope you won't chicken out at the last moment. We march ahead, and you follow us from behind."

The council was electrified. The immortals, once filled with hesitation, now buzzed with a fervor that threatened to overflow. Li Mingzhi watched them, a satisfied glint in his gaze. "We find this bastard," he declared, his voice resonating with authority and finality, "and we end this plague upon our honor. Now!"

The room erupted in a chorus of agreement. The immortals, united in their resolve, prepared for the confrontation.

With a roar that split the heavens, the immortals surged forth, a relentless tide of fury. Li Mingzhi and Lei Yueliang Shen, faces etched with a shared anguish, led the charge. Their movements were frantic, propelled by a burning desire for vengeance.

As they raced through the ancient corridors, their Profound Qi flared, lighting their path with an ethereal glow. The air crackled with their combined energy, an unstoppable force converging upon a single point of rage.

"This ends now," Yueliang Shen said, his eyes blazing with righteous fury.

Li Mingzhi nodded, his gaze steely. "Together, we are unbeatable."
