Chapter 1: Betrayal

"Ha...Ha....we finally managed to defeat the boss monster. Let's take the monster's body and go back and repor..t.."

Kang Seo Jun looks at the sword that pierced his chest.

"Yes I will go back home but not you." A man speaks as he pulls the sword out of Seo Jun's body.

"Why?Why did you do this ?" Seo Jun looks at Shin Ha Jun as blood gushes out of the freshly made hole on his body.

"Why you ask? It's because you are no longer useful." Shin Ha Jun grinned as he looked down at the slowly dying Seo Jin.

"The guild will not spare you."Seo Jin says angrily as he coughs up blood.

"The guild? You don't have to worry about them I will just tell them that you were killed by the boss monster while fighting just like all the others."

"The boss was too strong for us all others died and My dear friend Seo Jin sacrificed his life so that i could kill it." He says as he starts crying.

His mouth turns into a sinister grin as he looks at Seo Jin again. He wipes off tears and raises his sword again.

"Goodbye looser you were really useful."

(Am I really going to die just like that)

A though struck Seo Jin's mind as he saw his vision getting blurry from the excessive bloodloss.

Ha Jun slashes Seo Jin's neck as his head is severed from his body.

(What is this feeling? Am i really dead? Is this how being dead feels like?)

Ring..Ring...

(What is that ringing sound? that sounds like an alarm clock am i imagining things.)

Ring..Ringg...

(No that's definitely the sound of an alarm clock.Whats happening something is not right.)

Seo Jin suddenly feels like he is falling into an endless abyss.

Ha...With a loud gasp Seo Jin wakes up.

"Huh where am I ? Aren't I dead?"

Seo Jin looks around and finds the surrounding furnitures and environment to be very familiar.

"Isn't this my room?" Seo Jin looks surprised. He shuts the alarm off and quickly gets up from his bed and rushes to look at the calendar.

"November 21st ,2005! Seo Jin Looks at the date on the calendar in disbelief.He takes a few steps behind still not believing what he is seeing.

"I..I have regressed 5 years back in time." Seo Jin murmurs.

Seo Jin was still in shock when something suddenly came into his mind.

"If i remember correctly then the Apocalypse started today." Seo Jin said with a traumatic look in his face.

The Apocalypse, it was just a normal day when suddenly monsters started appearing from the so called gate which changed our lives forever.

The world as we know it disappeared in an instant. Countless people died because of the appearance of gates.

I was just a twenty three year old office employee before the apocalypse. But the apocalypse completely changed it.

Seo Jin walked towards the window and looked outside. Just as he had thought the sky had turned red 'The Apocalypse had started '.

Everyone in Seoul looked at the sky which had turned red.Just as the people were looking at the red sky a large crack appeared in the sky and a monster came out of it.

It was a 'gate'!!

The people panicked at the sight of the monster and started running here and there.

Just as the people were running in fear a voice came from the gate.

"Everyone please calm down. There is no need to be scared."

Everyone looked at the direction of the voice and saw a small fluffy creature with a pair of horns and wings standing on the large monster's head.

"Everyone there is no need to be scared he will not hurt you in any way. Just listen to me." The creature said.

"Let me introduce myself. I am Guoba. I am here to tell you that your world was lucky enough to be selected as a source of entertainment for my customers."

"Ten days from now more monsters like this will appear from this gate right here and attack you so please be prepared." Guoba said while point at the gate in the sky.

"Ahh don't worry i have prepared so that you will still have a chance to survive.Some of you will start receiving 'gifts' from us which will help you fight against these monsters. So please do your best to entertain my customers." Guoba grinned as it turned around to leave.

Just as it was about to enter the gate a man from the crowd shouted.

"Youu why sould I listen to you. Fuck you and your customers. I don't want to fight those monsters."

Guoba raised its eyebrow and looked at the man.

"Ohh so you don't want to fight you say. Than you don't have to i guess."

The man looked happy and said excitedly."Really?"

The man started laughing happily. As the man was still laughing his head exploded and his body fell in the crowd covering the bodies of all the people who were near him in his blood and brainmatter.

The people looked at the blood and brainmatter and started screaming and panicking.

"If you don't want to participate than its fine by me . But let this be a remainder of what will happen to you if you don't agree." Guoba said with a serious look in its face as it went back into the gate while the crowd was still panicking.

Seo Jin witnessed all of this from the window of his room as his eyes were red with anger.

"That bastard has also announced it."

Guoba a creature with a high amount of intelligence which goes around worlds opening gates and wrecking havoc to entertain his 'customers'.

"They don't care about the life of humans. For them we are just like animals in a circus."

"I will make them all pay Guoba , His customers and that bastard Shin Ha Jun"

Seo Jin said as he gritted his teeth in anger.
