Today marks the end of an era as the VR game World of Liberty, which has captivated players for the past 15 years, reaches its final day of operation.

Reflecting on these eventful 15 years, it's remarkable to think that World of Liberty emerged as the world's first VR game back in 2025. This groundbreaking creation unlocked a new realm for individuals, granting them the freedom to forge their own destinies and embark on extraordinary adventures beyond the confines of reality.

I, too, was among those who ventured into this virtual realm, initially swayed by peer pressure after completing college. However, over time, my genuine love for the game blossomed.

World of Liberty transformed my life entirely, propelling me from an ordinary individual to a renowned gamer and streamer with a colossal following of millions of fans.

Yet, as they say, all good things must come to an end.

Time, undefeated by any challenge, saw the emergence of countless new VR games during these past 15 years—some achieving great success, while others faltered. Trends and people's preferences shifted, ultimately leading to the closure of World of Liberty, the pioneering VR game that sparked this incredible journey.

I, too, have aged with the passing years, now standing at 36 years old. The number of viewers tuning into my streams has dwindled, as audiences seek fresh faces and younger streamers, signaling the end of Carmine's era.

After returning home from my accountant job each day, World of Liberty served as a refuge, soothing the tension and fatigue accumulated from work.

As people evolve, so must I. Consequently, I've made the decision to conclude my gaming career alongside the final moments of World of Liberty, embracing one last gaming session.

With roughly an hour of real-time left, equating to approximately two hours in-game, I believe it will be more than sufficient to explore the enchanting Island of Eternal Night.
