Who's that Monster?

It is already evening and Hero is busy consuming all the gems that he had taken on his journey. Simon also did it in his bed. The three decided to share the same room but different beds for safety. Hero was worried that there might be someone who would attack them and it was hard to find each other one by one in a foreign city.

After consuming all of the gems, Hero decided to sleep. Placing the useless gems below the bed. Simon also did it but he could not sleep. He was thinking about who is that monster and is curious about him. Even about Valerie that Hero is talking about.

Without hesitation, he decided to get up and walk outside to see the monster that they were talking about. He looked around and saw that their hiding place was peaceful. It means the leader really knows how to find a place they could hide.

When Simon is finally out of their hiding area, he chooses to bring his dagger and not his rifle. In case of emergency, he could use it to protect himself. He walks and tries to sense around him as he didn't know there may be monsters lurking around.

He also prepares his dagger, tightening his grip on it. He walked where they entered the city and was shocked to see it in front of him. His eyes widened as he stared at two unfamiliar monsters eating the two bodies that they hung on the pole! And also, one monster with black features was scaring him as hell! The aura that it releases makes him puke because it is very heavy in his chest.

Simon immediately hides where he can hide and tries his best not to vomit. He was trying to escape helping himself to walk but he sensed that the monster that gave him a heavy feeling was walking towards him which made his heart race. He immediately looked around and tried to find a dead monster he could wipe in his body.

Fortunately, he found one. A dead bone wraith monster. He took its flesh and slowly wiped it in his body while his hands were trembling in fear. After that, he hides behind the bushes in front of an expensive house and covers his mouth.

The monster stopped in front of him. Simon could see its donkey legs with fresh blood on it. He heard him smelling trying to find him but lucky enough, the monster could only smell a dead monster causing him to turn his back and move away from him. "Stop it."

Simon's eyes widen even more after hearing it talking. This was the first time he heard a monster that could speak their language! What kind of monster could he possibly be? Why is it that he can talk? "That's enough. Leave the bodies in the pole like that. I can hear Master Valerie calling us."

The monsters immediately stop eating and follow the monster with donkey legs where he is going. Simon on the other hand, after sensing that the monsters are finally away from them, immediately breathes out as his heart still racing faster. He was about to take a look again when he sensed something behind him. "What have we here?"

The voice of the monster causes Simon unable to move. He wanted to scream but he couldn't! As if his voice was blocked by something! He wanted to run away but he couldn't. His body is trembling and it could be seen on his face that he is scared as hell!

The monster was about to take his neck to behead him when Hero was able to reach him and took Simon by grabbing his shirt and ran as fast as they could. Even Hero could feel how trembling the monster's power was! He can't beat him now. Not right now as monsters are more awake in the night and what's more, if ever some of Valerie's minions would wake up, it would be even harder for him! What's more, the innocent people in the city will also get involved.

Hero tried to sense behind him and he was still able to sense the monster. He cursed when the monster could also catch up with his speed. "What the fvck!" He immediately slides his feet to turn back and decides to go to the right causing the monster to be confused.

Hero uses his speed using all of his energy and immediately turns to the right and runs as fast as he can and can get back to the safe zone, their hideout. He tried sensing around the area, one kilometer from where he was standing and felt relieved when he couldn't sense the monster now.

Hero was gasping for air as he sat on the ground and looked at Simon still staring blankly, remembering how he felt when the monster was behind him. Inches closer to his back! Hero crawled towards Simon and gave him a punch causing him to be back to reality. "What the fvck are you doing!?" Hero gave him another punch causing Simon to bleed in his nose.

"I got curious. I am curious about the monster that they are talking about. That monster, Hero! That monster, he can talk!" Hero's eyes widen after hearing it. He was confused as to why but one thing that came to his mind immediately was the rumored group he heard about in his past life. That monster might be one of them.

"That monster might be one of the high-ranking monsters like Valerie."

"No." Hero looks at Simon waiting for his other statement. "That monster told the monster who ate the two guys in the pole that Valerie is their master, their boss. He is also the one that they are talking about who told them about Valerie! About a monster sleeping in the train station, Hero! He is much stronger than the she monster in the train station, we should escape here or else it will be over for us!"
