Smokevine Monsters has been Killed

"The swords are heavy! I don't know if you will be able to handle it while fighting! I am sorry, but at least try it."

Hero heard what she said but still tried to take it. He was able to handle it without difficulties, he raised his eyebrows and looked at Reyana. How can she say that it is heavy when he can carry it? The sword is light as a feather! What could it possibly mean?

"You can carry it?" Reyana asks, sitting where she is looking at Hero. Peitho and Albino continue to attack the ordinary monsters that are coming to them until all monsters have been slain.

Hero smirks and takes the other one. "Thanks, Reyana. This is great."

He faced where the monsters were and started running, holding his two swords with his two hands. He jumps and beheads the baby monsters in an instant, causing their heads to roll on the ground. Blood filled in the ground causing Reyana to scream when one of the heads was rolling towards them. Simon saw a shining gem inside the monster's head. He took it and smiled.

Hero on the other hand continues running towards the main leader jumps to his hand and cuts it immediately. He smirks when one of his hands is cut instantly causing the monster to scream in agony. He jumps on the other side of his hand and cuts it as well. Before he falls to the ground, he stabs the monster's arm lands on his shoulder, and slices it into pieces. Following his head which made his head roll on the ground as well.

He landed on the ground properly holding the two swords with a smile on his lips. He takes a look at the swords and he can't thank Reyana enough as the swords are really good. He looked behind and another swarm of monsters was behind them. He saw Simon running towards him.

"I lost bullets now!"

"We lost arrows!"

They all hide at Hero's back and plunge to rest. "You can now do it, Brother. Kill them all!" Peitho shouted as she was trying to catch her breath. With all of Hero's strength and energy and his swords, he killed one of them in just minutes.

.....

"So, where are we going now? You said that the workhouse is now filled with different monsters, right?" Peitho asks. All of them were spending their night in a cave they had found in the forest, with no food to eat and no water to drink.

"Man, I am hungry." Simon lay down on the ground hugging his rifle. "We can't find food either in the city as we don't even have the energy to fight against monsters," he complained.

Hero had been fighting against monsters coming their way for hours already until the night came, that's the only when monsters were already wiped out. He can't even stand anymore as his body is now really exhausted. If his body was still in normal human form, he probably would have died now. Lucky him.

"Let us just stay the night here. Tomorrow once we finally gain our energy from resting, we will hunt down some groceries to find something we can eat."

And with Hero's speech, they can't do anything but follow him. Hero looks at Reyana who is now sleeping peacefully. He was worried about the workhouse that his grandfather gave to her. She cannot stay in that place anymore as monsters now know about the place. He is kind of guilty of what was happening.

It is now morning, Hero dropped the food on the ground causing all of them to wake up. "I have taken some food from the grocery store near the area. Now fill your tummies. I even bring some cup noodles and hot water."

"Wow, you did that? I thought hot something would attract monsters?" Peitho asks as she stretches her body looking at her brother.

"Yeah, but your brother is now stronger than before." Peitho shrugged her shoulders and happily went to the plastic bag filled with different kinds of food.

They were still eating when Hero interrupted them. "Also, I found a safe place. I found a small house with an oak tree. We can rest there. It is kind of far away from the city and water around it that will serve as barriers," he pauses for a moment. "Also, we can take everything in the workhouse so you can at least save the things that your grandfather left for you." He was looking at Reyana's eyes causing the lady to smile genuinely.

"Thank you, Hero."

They are now on their way to the safe place where they called it a sanctuary. Hero also taught Albino and Reyana some basic self-defense and how to properly use the weapons just in case they were on the brink of death or attacked by monsters. Hero tried asking Reyana if she could travel with them but Reyana chooses to stay in the small house with Albino. He doesn't have a choice but to respect her decision.

They also planted some vegetables and fruit-bearing trees in a small garden. By gathering some trash in the city and Reyana's forging skills, they made a gate that could tighten the security before Hero and the others leave. They wanted to make sure that the two would be able to live in peace.

In weeks of staying in the small house, they were able to rest and regain their energy. Peitho also made a weapon for herself. While Simon and Hero were hunting down some monsters to get gems and become stronger. Hero could feel that his ability was getting stronger and stronger. He needed it as he had another goal in mind before completely leaving their city, Castleham.

"Are you insane!?" Simon shouted after hearing what Hero told him. He nodded.

"I maybe am. We needed to go to that place. To the Mistcliff, Castleham another city next to this. You already know the consequences if we don't fight that monster. Well, if you are that afraid, you can stay here with Reyana. At least she had a security guard here to protect her."

"W-wait, my skill isn't just for securing people. This skill of mine is for killing monsters and dealing with high-ranking monsters or whatever you call this thing. Let's go." Simon immediately stood up and left the house causing them to laugh at him.

"Hero." He looked at Reyana calling his name. "Thank you so much. Please take care of your journey and visit us next time. I promise that we will wait for your comeback. Don't worry, I will gather some professionals and good people here in the house and I will make myself stronger just like you." Hero smiled at her and patted her head causing Reyana to blush.

"Then wait for us, Reyana." She smiled.

"Hey, you two siblings! Are you coming or not!?" Peitho carried the bag along with her weapon.

"Let's go, brother."

Hero follows his sister. Reyana and Albino are now waving their hands to bid goodbye to them. Reyana placed her hands on her heart as she stared at them leaving. She decided to do some training that could help her improve in fighting. She will wait for the moment that Hero and the others will come back to them. She knows they will.
