Power is Power

It is already 8 in the morning and Hero slowly opens his eyes. The moment he opened his eyes, he was shocked to see himself tied in a chair making him grit his teeth. He looked around and saw himself in an open room. He looks at his hands tied with chain cuffs. "Peitho," he muttered and looked around however he didn't see her around.

He cursed and blamed himself. Because of the exhaustion he felt from consuming the blue gems last night, his body felt so heavy and tired that he didn't sense someone was already in their room carrying him to tie him here. He fell asleep and forgot to guard the door after hearing a sound last night. He was about to pull out his hands so the chain cuff would break but suddenly someone opened the door and there he saw Vanessa walking towards him.

"Where is my sister?" Hero asks sternly but Vanessa doesn't mind his question.

"How to use those gems? What did you do last night? Don't tell me you are a monster too?" Vanessa continuously asks him but Hero just glares at him.

"My sister," he sternly speaks making Vanessa let out a sigh. She kneeled on the ground and smirked looking at Hero. "Where is she?"

"I will let you see your sister after giving me what I need to know. If not, you won't see her forever, Hero," Vanessa speaks making Hero furious.

"You don't know what I can do, Vanessa. I'll give you one more chance; tell me where my sister is or I'll behead you," Hero threatened her, glaring at her. In a split second, Hero's eyes turned pitch black, causing Vanessa to collapse to the ground in shock, her eyes widening as she looked at him. She could feel her body trembling from Hero's eyes and aura, but she still managed to smirk which teased Hero.

"How could you behead me then? You don't know that chain cuff is originally meant to chain cuff wild animals? You can't get away from us, Hero," she says, causing Hero to smirk as well.

"I am not a wild animal, Vanessa. I am more than that," Hero says, breaking the chain cuff that ties his hands, prompting all of the men behind Vanessa to point their guns at him, but Hero is unconcerned. He had just stood up and walked closer to Vanessa when she abruptly stood up and moved backward. All the men behind her immediately shoot him, but they are surprised to see that the bullets do not even scratch Hero. It does not affect him.

"I hate killing people, Vanessa. Tell me where my sister is, and I will set you free, along with the gems. Give me back my gems," Hero says as he continues to walk closer to Vanessa. However, she chooses to keep her mouth shut because she believes that if she can tame Hero, they will be able to use him as a shield against monsters. She had already called the main headquarters about Hero, so she couldn't let the siblings escape before the other militaries arrived at their location.

"Let us make a deal, Hero. I will give you your sister's location if you tell me how to use those gems, and I will even give those gems back to you," Vanessa says, trying to remain composed and confident in front of Hero despite her fear.

"I don't fvcking care about your deal! You owe me your life. If you won't give me my sister back, I will kill all of you here instantly!" Hero yelled in rage, making them tremble in fear. His eyes are darkening, making them even more scared. Vanessa suspected that Hero was a monster who could only tame the monster within him, which is why he still behaved like a human.

"Kill them, bro, your sister is with me." A man's voice speaks, causing Hero to turn his head and look where he heard the voice. Simon was carrying Peitho, along with bags and a sniper rifle. "I also had your gems here," he explained and winked at him making him confused.

"Simon! You traitor! I trusted you to guard that girl and their belongings, how could you betray us? I am your leader!" Vanessa shouted glaring at Simon but Simon just laughed at her.

"Who said I would follow your orders? I just followed you because I don't have a place to sleep and food to eat. Now that I found someone capable of becoming my master, why would I still follow you, huh?" Hero was confused about Simon's statement when he heard the word master in his mouth.

Vanessa immediately picked up her gun and shot it towards Peitho, fortunately, Hero was able to get there within a second and took the bullet and crushed it. Vanessa's eyes widened after what she saw while Simon was behind him was amazed and could see in his eyes that he admired Hero so much.

"Shoot him!" All the men shouted behind Vanessa and began to shoot Hero making Simon quickly hide Hero's body as Hero kept on hitting the bullet with his dagger. Simon was about to escape when a group of men were heading towards them making Simon cursed.

Simon dropped down the two bags of Gems and carried Peitho carefully. "I will leave the gems with you, let me escape your sleeping sister in this place first," Simon speaks and dashes to escape from them leaving Hero behind. He stops hitting the bullets and lets his sharp fingernails come out while his pitch-black eyes still glaring at them.

"I already warned you, Vanessa," he says before dashing towards all the men behind her and beheading them all, which surprises Vanessa. She couldn't believe what she was seeing and began to feel fear Hero. Her teeth were trembling as she saw her men beheaded by the hands of Hero and their blood splattered on the wall.

The next thing he did was go outside and kill the people who were shooting at him and preparing to attack him with knives and small swords. Hero jumps high and stomps the man's back, rendering him unable to move. He fiercely pulls out the person's gun in front of him who was about to shoot him and shoots each man who was running towards her with their weapons. The last bullet goes to the man's head, which he stomps earlier, leaving him bloodied on the ground.

All of the men in the area have been killed, and Vanessa is the only one left. "You monster, how could you kill people without remorse! You psychotic monster!" Vanessa cried as she hit Hero with her gun, but it still did not affect him until she ran out of bullets. "Shit!" she cursed and Hero kicked the gun from Vanessa's hand making her look at him. Hero aggressively holds Vanessa's face and forcibly turns it to look at him.

"If only you were minding your own business, this wouldn't be happening," Hero says as he prepares to stab Vanessa in the heart, but they both hear a siren, which causes Vanessa to smile and Hero to stop.

"The backup has arrived!" she yelled, infuriating Hero, who quickly beheaded Vanessa. He walks towards the door with his hands filled with blood. He notices a large group of men surrounding him, but he is surprised to see that they are not uniformed like Vanessa, which confuses him. But eventually smirks when he smells something on the man walking towards him, wearing an eyeglass and smiling at him.

"These leeches. We've met again."
