Hero Encounter

"Wait! There were 14 goblins and a Grubnar?" Via asked Thap intensely after hearing his report and checking the goblins' ears.

"Grubnar? You mean that big dark-red goblin?" Thap asked curiously. 

"Yes, those are called Grubnar. They are the leaders of a goblin horde. I'm just glad you were able to defeat it. Grubnar is a rank B monster because of their capability and intelligence in fighting. Anyway, I need to inform the guild about this issue. Thanks for letting me know. Hopefully, it was just false scouting. Again, let me apologize for what happened to you!" Via told Thap and bowed deeply. 

"Ahh, no, no, don't worry about it! You can raise your head!" Thap quickly replied, gesturing for her to lift her head. 

"Thanks for your understanding, I will go and get your reward real quick!" Via told him with a smile before heading to the back of the room.

From what Via said, it seemed like there was a false scouting for this quest. The quest was mentioned as a D-rank quest, which usually involved defeating a small group of goblins, around three to four. But it turned out to be a horde of goblins, including a Grubnar, the leader of the horde. Via was just glad Thap was safe and even managed to defeat all of them. This might be a hassle for the guild, as it was their fault for allocating the quest incorrectly. If it had been a normal adventurer, they would likely have filed a report about this issue to the guild and even reported the receptionist who recommended this quest, as they risked their lives doing something out of their capacity.

"It's more crowded than usual! Lucky I got to be in the first line at Ms. Via's counter," Thap muttered gladly as he glanced around him. 

"Wait, for real?" 

"Yes, they will arrive soon."

"I can't wait to see them!" 

"I heard there were four young girls accompanying him and Lisa."

"Lisa? You mean Bart's sister?"

 "Yes, they transferred to Lisa's school. As an honored student, I guess it was her job to guide the Hero and his companions around the city, right?"

"Yes, you're right." 

As he waited for Via, Thap overheard two men talking behind him as they waited for their turn. Thap was surprised that Bart and Lisa, the siblings, were kind of famous around here, as people acknowledge them. 

What caught Thap's attention was the word 'Hero.' His face lit up when he heard that word. He was glad and relieved when he found out that a hero had found and came to this city . 

However, he quickly remembered what Jim told him this morning about Thalrok, the demon king's general who attacked the city 17 years ago. Thalrok said he would return if the hero was found, as he would love to test his strength against the hero.

"Oh God!" Thap muttered to himself as he thought about the catastrophe that might happen in the near future. 

"Sorry for your wait, here you go!" Via returned with a large pouch and handed it to Thap. 

"It's heavy!" Thap was surprised when he held the pouch.

"At first, the reward was supposed to be 20 silver coins, but with the evidence and the report you gave us, the guild decided to reward you more. So, you will be rewarded 300 silver coins for defeating a horde of goblins and a Grubnar, plus the information that you provided. Again, I would like to apologize for the mistake that the guild and I had made," Via apologized once more, bowing deeply on behalf of the guild.

"No, no, please don't worry about it. You helped me a lot!" Thap comforted Via, gesturing for her to lift her head.

"Thanks, Thap. Is there anything else I can help with?" Via cheered up and asked him with a smile. 

"Oh, about the supervisor!" Thap thought to himself for a moment before asking her about the supervisor thing she mentioned this morning.

"Ahh, don't worry about that ! I will introduce you to one tomorrow !" Via replied with a smile.

"Ah ok, I will see you tomorrow then, Thanks Ms. Via" Thap told her before leaving her counter and heading to the exit.

"It's really crowded. Are they coming here just to see the hero ??" Thap thought to himself as he struggled to reach the exit.

The guild was now packed with adventurers and people who wanted to see the hero. As Thap was almost reaching the exit, he got pushed by the crowd that rushing in, forcing him to the corner of the room where he fell down and hit his butt. 

"What's with these people?!" he muttered annoyedly.

"They are here! Everyone make some space!" People were informed as they moved away from the entrance and made a path for the hero and his companions to walk in. 

A group of people entered the guild with Lisa as their guide, walking alongside them. 

In the front was a young man with a handsome face and blonde hair, equipped with fancy attire and a sword. Behind him were four gorgeous girls. The first girl wore a saint's attire, appearing like an angel with her beautiful face and figure, complemented by her long, soothing golden hair. Next to her was a girl in a fancy dress, looking elegant and refined, accompanied by an island girl from the far east. She had long black hair and small eyes, and was equipped with a knight's attire. Lastly, there was a young girl with silver hair, equipped with a sword and light armor.

Everyone locked their eyes on them as soon as they entered the guild. They were astonished and jealous at the same time, seeing the hero and the beautiful girls behind him. 

"Please come with me to the counter for the registration process" Lisa informed them, showing them the way. 

At the same time, Thap managed to get up and tried to see what was going on. 

"Woah, so that's the hero!" Thap muttered to himself as he managed to get a glimpse of the hero and his companions. 

"Hmm… it doesn't really bother me, at least the hero is found. Anyway, today I got a lot of money!! What am I going to buy? FOOD!! Oh yes, I might need to repay Mr. Bart back. Damn, I almost forgot!" Thap muttered to himself as he pushed people away and managed to sneak out of the guild.

"Eh?" Aria suddenly turned her back and looked at the exit.

"What's up, Aria?" Chloe asked her, noticing her reaction.

"I felt it, I felt his presence!" Aria's face lit up as she told Chloe quietly. 

"Hmmm… I don't see anyone resembling him. It might be a mistake. We shouldn't do anything rashly, especially with the princes— I mean Fiona and the hero here," Chloe replied to Aria with a concerned expression.

"Yes , you're right." Aria replied softly.
