The Revelation(7)

Lila said, "Stop your nonsense now, and tell me Sis. Why did you go to the Atkins family? This time, no rubbish. Trust me I'm not in the mood to listen to your rubbish anymore. I want the absolute truth. I know that you know very well what you went to find in the Atkins family. And I want to hear why you would try to break into Sophie's mansion. Who gave you such courage, huh?" Lila laughed, and her laughter brought chills to the person listening to it.

Lily didn't want to open her mouth at first, but when she saw a dagger in Lila's hands, she was a bit scared. Especially now, when she almost can't recognize Lila anymore. Lila was twisting the dagger in her hands, and in a chilly voice said, "Well? Are you going to open your mouth or should I start using my dagger? Well, let me tell you Twin Sis, my dagger has no mercy. So, should I start with your lovely face first, huh?" Lila's creepy voice combined with the coldness of the metal blade, Lily's heart was beating very fast. She never knew that her sister could wield dagger so well. Her heart wrenched at the thought that Lila could do anything to her now. She gulped the non-existent saliva and said, "Please Sis, don't. I'll tell you everything." She eyed the dagger in Lila's hands and continued, "The Mercury sent me to retrieve the heirloom of Atkins family, and to keep an eye on Madam Atkins." Lily was going to continue but Lila cut her off asking, "Which Madam?"

"Second Madam." Lily answered, trembling at the sight of the dagger. Lila was now holding the dagger slightly below her chin. She asked Lily, "And then?"

"I don't know anything more." Lily replied, but Lila asked, "Are you sure?" The door of the basement opened, and a muscular man appeared. He gave an envelope to Lila and left. Lila opened the envelope lazily and commented, "Ah. Here you go." She placed a stack of photos in front of her and said, "What are these? Do you recognize them Sis?"

They were clearly taken in the Atkins Mansion. The lady in the picture was her. But how did they manage to get this picture? She looked outside, and saw Sophie standing there. Sophie is a hacker. She revealed her identity during the hacker's competition. This must be Sophie's work.

She looked at the dagger in Lila's hands again before saying. "I was told to collect information about the whole Atkins family. Especially the Young Master of Atkins family."

"And?" Lila asked.

"And someone named Ms. Lisa. I went to the warehouse to find Ms. Lisa, but was trapped."

"You have a lot of courage, don't you?"

"What do you mean?" Lily asked.

"You went to find Lisa without checking her background? How silly of you 'intelligent' sis!"

"…" Lily was unable to reply. She knew that it was her biggest mistake. She never thought that Lisa would pose any threat to her. She miscalculated.
